This is a great teacher who really cares about the students. The class is not that difficult and has a little workload. I also suggest not buying the book. You can easly get an A without reading a single page. Take Grosse!!

Prof Grosse is a really excellent professor. I actually looked foward to going to his class. He is so nice and personable. Definetly do not buy the book though. He teaches only what you actually need to know, not the entire text book like some teachers. I was actually really inspired to learn in his class due to his personality and teaching style. I highly recommend him

I am not done with the class yet, but this guy is great! He is one of the best teachers I think because he doesn't dwell on the useless shit some professors make you do. He entertains you in class and he's a really nice and understanding guy. If you go to all the classes you will get 2 extra percent points added to your grade. I have an A so far. The homeworks are due once a week for the lab and they aren't very hard. It helps to get his old tests because a lot of the questions are exactly the same. And his tests are open notes so you don't have to study, you just need an overall understanding of where to find the information in your notes. He's great and I would definately recommend him.

I think he is an awesome professor. He knows his material and shows how much he cares and wants you to learn it too. His witty and humorous personality is encouraging enough to want to take the class. The class is neither hard nor demanding and an easy A. I definitely recommend this class to anyone!

Grosse is a quirky ex-tour hearst castle guide kind of guy. He might just be the best guy to take for POM but really that doesn't say much. With his corny jokes and funny exercises at least you'll stop surfing the internet for maybe 20 minutes out of the class. You'll understand the material he presents in class and even have the option to take the tests with ALL OF YOUR NOTES but the downside is-his tests are pretty questionable-the questions are pretty tricky and you just end up frustrated that he didn't go over that material in class. The big plus of this guy is: YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY THE BOOK and he's totally flexible with midterm/final times.

BOB ROCKS! He is seriously one of the best business teachers. He's so friendly and his class is so funny. You have to TRY to not get an A or B in his class. Just get the old tests (there's millions floating around the COB, just ask someone who's taken him) and they're pretty much identical. the homework assignments are a joke, you can do them in groups and i think i only went to the lab 3 times the whole quarter. Bob is wonderful and I strongly recommend him to everyone - i heard the other guy (Carter i think) is awful.

This guy is a joke.. I know most people like him... but.. come on.. this guys is a fool!!! Ok, he is an easy professor I'm not gonna argue that... unless you don't mind standing up and singing the Brady Bunch Song (I'm not kidding, he really makes you do it) don't take him...Although, I must say that he is very flexible and very approachable.. if you tell him that you are gonna miss class the day on the test... he will let you take it home... I still think he is an idiot.. and I still remember how hard was for me to go to his class.. but.. I mananged to get a B with NO EFFORT at all... if you are a management student.. you won't learn shit...

Grosse is like you grandpa, and everyone loves their grandpa. The class has it's fair share of work and the test are sometimes worded a little funny but this is the class to take for POM. Everyone with other teachers always bitched about them but Grosse was awesome. Open note tests and a lab every week or two and a little interview with a business of your choice about any POM topic. Take this guy. Seriously. Take this guy.

I read all of the glowing reviews of Grosse and assumed he would be interesting and mildly easy. I just didn't find him all that interesting, and the class certainly wasn't easy. He required a lot of studying, and the test questions are worded pretty strange. I don't know he was okay, probably better than the other profs I guess, but not worth a priority in my estimation.

The review below me is an anomoly. Grosse is incredibly easy. I didnt buy the book, and I'm one easy test away from getting an A in the class. I dont know if I learned all that I shouldve about POM, but Grosse is a great guy and will answer any questions you may have. Tests are scantron, and open book/open note. Homework is easy and credit/no credit. I dont think he changes his tests from quarter to quarter, cause there are several people that got 100s on multiple tests. Class averages for tests were consistently in the high 80's. Take this guy if you can...but he fills up during priority every quarter.

Probably one of the best professors I've ever had. On top of that his class was totally easy. Open note and open book tests. You should be able to walk in to the class on test days and get a B without trying.

This is the class to take. It was really easy, if you show up and turn in the homework and you will get an A. The tests are open note and book and are very easy. He is the best teacher for the course.

Heres the facts, Grosse is a really nice guy but the information is just boring as hell. If you can get the tests from past quarters you are going to be set up. For those who don't, its not really an easy class at all. He has three tests worth 25% each and then labs and your trip repot are worth the other 25% with 2 points extra credit for attendance. All and all if you have to take this class, this is the best guy to take it with. Good luck

Take Grosse.. I know you have already seen this many times before in his reviews but it is soo true. He is the best, and when I say best I mean easiest lecturer for this course. Get with a group that likes to work, and you can split up the in class hw assgns bewteen eachother...not to mention get help from other groups, and check the pile of turned in hws for the answer. The tests are open everything, whatever you want to bring...talk to someone that has old test questions. Email him when you are going to be absent, and he will give you a full attendance grade which ends up being 2 pts extra credit.. which in the end, brought my grade up to an A..

This class was kind of stupid. Sure I showed up to every class, but only to space out and mess around on the internet or do the homework he assigned. All tests are open book/open note/allowed to use internet. Also, chances are that if you bring a past exam along with you, many of the questions will match! They'll be around. I don't doubt about 80% of the students have past exams and homeworks. He's very kind with grading. My only problem with the guy is he tries to get you to mingle with the rest of the class and participate in hokey ways. That's not my bag of chips and I hate being pushed into that kind of thing! I took him because I heard the alternative teacher was worse. This will be a very easy major course so don't stress too much.

Easy class!! Find someone who's taken it already to get the exams from previous quarters before the midterms! He doesn't check anything and everything is open book, open note. He's a super nice guy too!!

overall a nice guy, can't really complain about anything. what pissed me off was that i didn't know people were taking those tests already with the answers from previous classes. i couldnt see how some of those people were getting 100% on their tests. i took them the honest way and got B's. it was right before the final that i used the answers. but for all you honest people, the class really isnt that hard to begin with.

BOBBY G IS A G!!! Bobby G is awsome, great guy, too friendly to be true. The class is pretty damn easy, dont need to buy the book, the tests were pretty easy but slightly tricky, open note, but I would suggest knowing your shit in advance, 2 hours of studying your material and your in there for sure. Bobby G is a G, say it with me now..."BOBBY G IS A G"

Grosse is cool and the class isn't too bad. The homework assignments are a bummer though if your group sucks. SOME of the tests are the same so be prepared if they aren't. Grosse does have weird ways to make you participate which gets annoying, so get ready to do some corny stuff. The class has 4 tests, 7 homeworks, a trip report, and 2 bonus points for attendance. You should definitely take Grosse for IT 371.

This is a really nice professor but his class is extremely boring, he is boring!! The homework is easy and his tests are open book, open notes but it doesn't really help you because he writes the exam questions so it is hard to find the answer in your book/notes. Definetly take notes because they will help you more on the test then the book. The main thing is just trying to stay awake!

Bob Grosse is a really nice man, he really cares about his students learning, and he also makes a really big effort to make the class fun and not boring, even if it does reminisce of a High School class at times. He makes the class really easy, it's open book/note/internet tests, and he gives extra credit. For the people who cheated and took advantage of this poor man, they're really pathetic because you can totally get an A if you just show up to class and do the hw - you don't even have to study for the tests. I hope everyone who tried to screw Prof. Grosse over get what they deserve when they try that in the real world. Take this professor, he's the best there is for this class and he's also the nicest person ever.

Like most people say, Bob is a very nice guy. The class isn't too difficult. Most of the concepts are easy to understand. Almost a waste of time. Easier than most classes I had in high school. He gives extra credit for attendance. 3 midterms consists of 75% of your grade. There is no final. He assigns weekly lab assignments. Most of them are a pain. Worth 25% of your grade. Overall if you have to take this course take Bob.

this class was an absolute joke. You dont even need to show up most of the time. Just make sure you do the homeworks and the trip report he assigns (easy 25% of your grade). The remaining 75% is three exams which are absolutely ridiculous (2 hours at least for each exam having 30 multiple choice questions). The tests are open book, open note, open computer etc. Just try to get some old tests from someone who has already taken the class and youre set. You can literally take the old tests into your midterms and look at the answers for questions that are the same (About half the test I believe). Overall, take Grosse coz IT 371 is a waste of time and its nice to have a professor that is so easy.

O.K. so this class isn't rocket science but who cares! Not all of our classes should be intense. It's nice to get one that isn't too bad. If you are taking a large load this class and Grosse are a great way to balance your schedule. I took 20 units this quarter and it wasn't too bad thanks in part to this class. You get 2% extra credit for just showing up every day. There are about 8 homework assignments and a short report that take a fair amount of time but are straight out of the lectures. All of the tests and midterms are open book, open note and really not that bad if you are familar with the material. Even though the class is a breaze you will still learn a few things and be able to pull a good grade without killing yourself.

Somebody had to rate this awesome professor. I had him this quarter at 7:40 two days a week. But it was worth going to. Professor Grosse is one of the most entertaining teachers I've ever had. All tests are open note. If you go to every class, you get an extra 2% added to your grade. But don't take the class becuase of these two things. Take this class because this guy is great and he loves teaching and it shows!
