Fisher, Lori  

She was an excellent professor for my first Cal Poly programming class. She has real world experience and brings it to her class. She has a wonderful sense of humor and I would recommend anyone to take her class. There were times that the class could be difficult, but the programs were by no means out of the range of the students.

lsfisher is a great teacher! She knows Java really well. The labs were mostly easy, and the assignments built on the work you did in the labs. The assignments were usually hard, but not impossible. She will help you out tremendously if you go into her office hours. She is heavily into the java applets, which is a little weird, but I liked it in the end.

Lori Fisher is the best teacher for computer science. if you are just starting out in computer science, and you have no clue to what's going on, TAKE FISHER. if you do really well in comp sci...TAKE FISHER. she presents the material SO CLEARLY it's not even funny. comp sci is a hard major and starting out is VERY FRUSTRATING. i know. i've failed 101. but after i took Fisher, everything just made sense. so if you want to be confused, angry, depressed, and upset, take nico, or mammen. but if you want to pass your classes, please take my advice and TAKE FISHER. =D

What the guy/gal below said. Amen. I too took this class and have long since graduated from Poly, but I was cruising Poly Ratings for a kick and thought that I should pipe in and let you know how much of a joke this prof is.

I think she is an excellent teacher. She really made me think. And in a course like Comptuer Ethics, that is quite a necessary requirement. Her lectures are clear and she is completly clear in office hours. Do not be apprehensive about sigining up for her class, she will make it an enjoyable expereience if your willing to do your part.
