Dr. Censullo is a very good professor. He knows his stuff well and can usually convey it in a fairly straight forward manner. He is very helpful at office hours and is willing to help you if you make an effort to get help. There aren't many tricks to his class and his grading plan is well outlined. I would definitly reccommend him for Chem. His only downfall is his overly cheesy since of humor. He makes a lot of "Chemistry Dork" jokes, but it's better than being a monotonus drone.

Censullo's the man. But I have no idea how you could get an A in this class. I mean, it's based on 1000 points, meaning if you miss more than 100 points, then you're already in B range. And if you can manage to miss less than that after five quizzes, three tests, several labs, AND a final, then maybe you should consider a career in chem. But, hey, at least you'll get to hang out with Censullo. Personally, I liked him even a little more than Meisenheimer (sorry, Poncho).

Censullo has to be the greatest chem teacher at Cal Poly. he makes the class interesting and understandable. He knows what he is talking about and he makes sure that you will learn it. The lectures are very well organized and fairly interesting. Unfortunately the material gets a little dry in some parts, but Censullo keeps things intersting be adding some good old fashion chem humor. He is helpful and informative at office hours and alaways enthusiastic about giving some 1 on 1 time if you needed it. His tests and quizes were not to hard but not that easy either. If you spent the time going over the test/quiz reviews that he provides(which covers everything that will appear on the test/quiz) and spend a little time preparing yourself then the test and quizes are quite easy. Homework and labs are manageable and help you understand the material. Homeworks or exercises are due about once a week and don't consume too much time.I highly recommend Censullo for all of your Chem needs!

Hes an excellent teacher, and he works really hard with you if you promise the same in return. I had dificulty with the subject, but I went to his office hours and he was always very helpful. I am grateful he spent so much time with me.

He makes this class much more difficult than it needs to be. He doesn't allow any notes on his tests. He also makes you get all of your assignments off of the web, and loves using the internet to give you all of the quiz answer sheets. I just don't like his teaching style, and I also don't like how much he uses the web for his class.

Prof. Censullo is one of the best chemistry professors at Cal Poly. He teaches only the material that's important, not the useless stuff. He provides plenty of examples, is very helpful during office hours, and most of his labs are interesting. I did terrible in chem 124 with Baker, but with Censullo, he taught the basics required to do well in the class and I did pretty well. I rec'd you do the reading and homework. They helped with quizzes and tests. I only wish that the professor graded the quizzes. His TA was very strict, though still fair.

Not a huge fan of Censullo. Maybe it's because I didn't take any notes and always left early and didn't do any homework, but I think it's mostly because I had no desire to do anything for the class. He makes the easy stuff really complicated and then flies through the harder stuff. I don't know if I would recommend him, but I got C's, D's and even F's on his quizzes and C's on the exams but I did all the work and he must have curved it or something for me to get a B.

Chem 125 is a hard class any way you look at it, but Dr. Censullo excludes any and all extraneous work or anything that at all resembles "busy work", unlike some other professors for Chem 124 and 125. Dr. Censullo is extremely liberal with grades. If you were to look at my grades throughout the quarter and tallied them all up I would have been deep in the F range, but Dr. Censullo obviously doesn't do that. Also, I was incredibly lost in Chem 124 and there were many things that I simply did not understand, and when I took 125 with Dr. Censullo all of those things were cleared up. The bottom line is that Dr. Censullo is a good professor. He may get boring and monotonus sometimes but he does have a sense of humor and is definitly a good professor.

Dr. Censullo has a WEIRD sense of humor - fortunately, it's a lot like mine so I laughed at all his stupid jokes. Quant is a very easy LECTURE class - the lab sucks like there's no tomorrow (unless you like to do 3-6 titrations PER LAB). He was pretty tricky with some of the quiz/exam questions - they didn't exactly cover what he lectured on (2 midterms, 6 quizzes - drop lowest quiz). He's an excellent lecturer, though.

Quant sucks! It's such a horrible class. The material is boring as hell and the lab is worse. Censullo is a great professor to have. He knows his stuff and has an incredible ability to convey the information to students. Very approachable also. In lab he grades very difficult when you have to detect something to the 0.0001 gram and you're 0.00003 off. This class will be bad no matter who you take it with but it's bearable with Censullo. I'd definitely recommend him.

Dr. Censullo did well to teach us this boring subject. Quant is no fun and Dr. Censullo managed to make us laugh throughout the quarter. The tests are very difficult but so is quant so get over that. The labs are not that bad people. I waited till my fifth year to take it because i was dreading the titrations. I was never in the lab for the full three hours. Take the class your second year and things will go fine. Dr. Censullo is not my favorite teacher by far but I would recommend you take this class from him.

Dr. Censullo sort of sucks. His lectures would be alright if he actually decided to test us on what he lectured on. As for lab, it really sucks. Its hard enought trying to be accurate but when you ask him if it's alright he says "it should be." Then....you get your lab back with an F!

Dr. Cencullo was really boring, but quant is a generally boing class. If you stay up with the homework, you will be fine. He gives quizzes every friday, and Lab is the worst experiece. It is 40% of your grade, hence my C. If you screw up the smallest bit, you get an F. It sucks. Overall, he is an ok teacher, just dont expect to be interested in the subject.

Quite possibly Poly's worst professor! His idea of a lecture is showing you powerpoint slides and giving you tiny copies of them to try to take notes and study with. It is very difficult to withstand him clearing his throat with massive force in class up to ten times per hour. I believe that he does this simply to wake students up who have fallen asleep listening to his boring lecture. In this class he gives three 100 point tests and the 100 point comprehensive final. His tests are terrible with most of the questions worth 10 points out of 100. Be prepared to study a lot of material and only get to try to answer about thirteen questions on the tests. Good luck trying to figure out what he is going to test on too! He gives you a "study guide" that wouldn't lead an eskimo to ice. I figure that I will get a C in this class and I would be glad to have a D and be done with this horrible teacher. Basically he is a high school teacher at best. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH CENSULLO!!!!!!!!!!!!

This can be a hard class if you don't study. Don't bother reading the book. The later material can't be understood because the reading assignments jump around. The handouts and lecture material will tell you all you need to know. The second test is the hardest. He said he doesn't curve, but I think he did a little.
