I actually didn’t take a formal course with charmaine., but met her at the Center for innovation entrepreneurship. And because of her, I am now a multimillionaire — she taught me how to tell my story no way that made sense to others

This teacher talks fast and keeps the course interesting, she is a difficult professor who doesn't give room for second chances. She wants instill a hard work load, and talks about not doing the work for the grade, however gives multiple pop quizzes which contradict her theory of teaching. She is a good teacher but is unclear about her expectations which makes the class difficult. The main issue with this teacher is she often says one thing and means another. For example she will give you a chance to re-turn in an assignment for extra points yet takes NO LATE WORK! So it can become confusing at times. The other thing that can be confusing is she wants you tube creative yet will take points off when it is not exactly like hers. So generally I think she is just not the greatest at communicating. Also I found it interesting that she made us fill out evaluations, not on the last class, most likely to increase her rating score.

Farber would be a good high school or middle school teacher. She wants her students to succeed, but she is very annoying the way she goes about that. She constantly tells us what we HAVE to write down in our notes and she basically has a panic attack if she even sees a phone. She annoyed me so much that I would get headaches and didn't want to focus. I would avoid taking her for the lab portion of the class if you can. That being said, she does a good job teaching us how to use adobe programs and I know I definitely learned a lot. She has good intentions, but definitely not my favorite teacher.

Professor Farber gives a very fair assessment of course content and what you've learned in the course. There is not a lot of extra work in this course, lots of review if you have any background in graphics programs (Adobe Creative Suite). She has a thorough knowledge of her profession and is a great resource for digging deep and learning more about design as a career. Her teaching style is very easy to follow. She's entertaining and engaging. The assignments in this course are directly related to the skills being taught, so as long as you pay attention and have a desire to learn, you'll have no trouble in this course at all.

I love Charmaine! She talks very quickly and is very knowledgeable about the subject matter which can seem a little intimidating at first, but she really does want her students to succeed and works hard to make sure that they do. If you ever feel behind (which i definitely did at times) just make the effort to talk to her one and one and she will really try to understand where you are coming from and offer help. Midterm was a bit tricky, but the final was a project which was very fun and it really let us show the skills that we had actually learned throughout the quarter

Professor Farber is honestly super great! She is clearly knowledgable on the material and presents it pretty well too. Super helpful and doesn't hesitate to answer any questions you may have. Trust me on this; I've approached her at least 10 times outside of class and lab and she would help me every single time. She does talk a little fast, but you get used to it. As for the actual class, I learned a lot. I came into GrC not knowing how to skillfully use a lot of Adobe programs, but this class really taught me how. The midterm was pretty bad, but if you pay attention in labs and take notes during lecture, and learn all of the key commands and shortcuts for Illustrator and Photoshop, you will be fine! If you get the chance to take Farber for this class, I recommend it.

With the amount of information this course demands, Professor Farber did an excellent job making sure we understood every aspect of it. I appreciated the fact that she would really stress exactly what we should pay attention to. 202 is such an important class because it creates the foundation we need to successfully use the Adobe Creative Suite. Because Professor Farber is a designer herself and has worked with the creative suite for a good portion of her life, it was easy to trust all the knowledge and experience she was so excited to share with us. You could also definitely tell that she took a lot of time and thought preparing for her lectures, and I really appreciated that. She's a very nice person, so don't be afraid to ask for help!

I had Charmaine during her first class ever at Poly and I've always had problems with HTML and CSS. Coding is not my forte, but Charmaine simplified things in a way that made it really understandable. It may not be an easy class but she's a fair grader so if you put in the work you get the grade. I had personal problems going on throughout the quarter and Charmaine was the only professor who noticed and asked me if I was doing alright. She helped me through some tough spots as well as through the class. Definitely one of my most enjoyed professors during my time at Poly

Professor Farber is a design teacher through and through, and I probably learned more from her than any of my other profs. She doen'st have the traditional GrC background. If you've even taken an Art and Design class, you will know what I mean! She knows her stuff and expects that you do too — I learned A LOT from critique, but it wasn't easy. I also learned how to take visual design and make them into code. This is not an advanced class, which she states from the get-go, but what I appreciated is that I now feel confident about how to use HTML and CSS and some JQuery to do the stuff I see in my head. Yes she talks fast, but I like it because I don't get bored. And if she is talking about something boring, at least it will go fast! But, that doesn't happen too often. She doesn't lecture in the traditional sense but makes you do a lot of stuff during class (but it's totally relevant to our projects). Lots of hand's-on. Her midterms are brutal....STUDY FOR THEM! Prof Farber is cool about lab time — it's mainly work time where she's there to help. TAKE A CLASS FROM HER IF YOU CAN!

Prof. Charmaine Farber, (her husband Jeff is a prof too), is seriously awesome. At first I was intimidated because of all the course content — Css/HTML/JQuery/UX Methods/Visual design, but the way she presents the material makes sense. I read what the Freshman wrote about her 201 class and Wow! You couldn't be more wrong! She's probably the sternest prof I've had! Yes, she requires things be turned in on time and that they are complete, but that's kinda the way the world works (I've had a couple of UX internships and that was the same way). I learned so much about the way I design, why I design, and how people perceive my design. It not just a code class, far from it!

Professor Farber has amazing industry experience and has coached me to get the new position I'm moving into. She's helped me and many other GrC students directly into UX positions from G.E. to Amazon to Nvidia, directly from the projects we all work on in her course. It helps that our course work is with companies outside of school — it's more real world.

These colorful dehydrated marshmallows make a great addition to any variety of products. They can easily be added to a bowl of cereal or a steaming mug of hot chocolate. Their bright colors and small size make it fun to add to any special baked treat, whether mixed in or added as a topping.
