Dhalia was a great professor. She taught the material really really well, and made sure to go over it multiple times till everyone got it. Her method of calling on people and asking them questions keeps us focused. Coming into class, she seemed rushed sometimes. She should relax and know that she is doing a wonderful job presenting the material. Take Dhalia!

Professor Hafez was one of the best professors I have had for an engineering class. She presents material very clearly and walks through examples in class that are applicable to the homeworks and tests. She is not a gnarly grader and gives lots of partial credit. She is very easy to go to and ask questions as well. As a CM this is one of the best professors I have had in ARCE.

dhalia was a great professor i barely passed 211 and was dreading 212, so the first day of class I talked to dhalia about my concerns. she just told me to meet with her in office hours every day to go over what we went over in class. it ended up working- I went from a D- in 211 to an A+ in 212 as far as the class goes... the homework load is completely reasonable and the midterms and final are pretty much exactly like the practice problems she gives out. its not an easy class by any means, but if you put the effort in you'll be fine.

Really helpful. The class goes fast due to the amount of material, but she make sure EVERYONE understands the concepts by asking each individual person a question pertaining to whatever she's teaching that day. If she senses that an individual is struggling (me!), she will go up to them privately and make sure that they understand the concept. I struggled in 211 but have a much better grasp of structures in 212 due to Dahlia's expertise

Dhalia made an effort to know everyone's names and would call on students during the class. We took about 3 quizzes, which were pretty straightforward. There was also HW assigned every class, but was pretty easy if you were paying attention in class. My only complaint would be that her board work would get really unorganized, which made it difficult to read and follow along. Other than that, she was a great professor!

Dahlia was seriously one of the best professors I've ever taken. She moves quickly through the material but will slow down and re-explain things if the class has a general blank stare. If you really don't understand the material she will take the time to go through it with you outside of class. Seriously take Dahlia. She is one of the best lecturers in the the ARCE department, and there are very few I say that about. Her homework load is reasonable, and the test and quiz's are based directly off the HW. TAKE HER

Professor Hafez would be helpful if you really don't understand the material. however, this class was relatively basic and the class made me feel as if i was in 1st grade again. She would have a power point while writing equations on the board and would not move on until people said the equations out loud, which were literally displayed right next to her. She would also move rather quickly and get really frustrated when people would not immediately answer her questions. She would also wait until class was out to take roll or to hand back homework which is quite annoying as students have other priorities once class gets out. Overall I personally did not learn anything from her. The homework is long and tedious, and the problems she goes over in class are extremely simplified, whereas the homework is often much more complex and requires the utilization of many more relationships. Overall the class is pretty easy but this professor made it a pain in the ass to go to lecture, would not recommend professor Hafez, unless you really struggle in applying very basic relationships. On the upside, the lab professor is very good and supplements the lecture quite well.
