Connolly is new. Two things are clear: She has little to no experience in Sales, and little to no experience in Agriculture. Her lectures are basically her finding online lectures and reading the slides out loud, then asking stupid questions. Our class started with 35 people, by the end of the quarter, the class attendance average was 8. Luckily there isnt much work for this class. She royally screwed everyone with a midterm worth 25% of our grade. Before the midterm she never required us to know specific vocabulary for quizzes or assignments, but when the midterm grades came, everyone got marked down significantly for not having perfectly worded definitions for everything. Bottom Line: Dont recommend. She has no idea what she's doing.

Her lectures are pointless. Reminds me of a high school class. A lot of busy work but a lot of easy fluff assignments to booster your grade. The content itself for the class is pretty easy. She's willing to help students one on one. However, her graders for the class have something far up their asses and gave me 4, 5, and 6's out of 10 on easy assignments that I put a good amount of effort into.

I thoroughly recommend taking this course with Dr. Connolly. She made the coursework very clear and recapped each assigned reading in class. Before taking the class, I had no interest in sales, and now I am highly considering pursuing a career in Sales. Our class projects were relevant, including a ride along with a salesperson where we got to ask questions and experience sales first hand. Connolly is also very knowledgeable and explains your questions very well.

Connolly's class is pointless. All the notes are on poly learn. All quizzes are online. 1 midterm and the final consists of you selling a product which is very simple. Take her if you want an easy A or B

This would have been a great online class. Prof. Connolly was nice, but wasn't a great teacher. Just keep up on the deadlines and you'll be fine.

The content of this class is super easy and obvious (one time we actually had a powerpoint slide that said to watch out for kids or pets when driving to a clients house) so if you take this class don't waste your time going to the actual class. The lectures are super boring and nobody pays attention to Dr. Connolly. I feel bad for her but she makes no effort to make the class interesting. It's weird to me that she of all people is teaching sales, she seemed shy and obviously had no real world experience with sales.

I would just like to thank Cal Poly for hiring a professor to teach sales who has never had ANY experience in sales in her life. All she does is read off the powerpoint from notes straight from the book and ask stupid questions. I was looking forward to this class and she has ruined sales for me. Nobody knows wtf is going on and she is so discombobulated in the head it's insane. Also, her TA's can f off - they give out D's which I then have to go prove to connolly it's worth an A. Don't take her class unless you want a complete waste of your time!!

Dr. Connolly is a very caring professor. She recognizes student difficulties and is very accommodating to her students. Economics is tricky, but that's why she assigns textbook readings. Ag econ is not that difficult, many people just don't read the textbook and get confused during class. Sometimes she skips around during notes, but her lecture slides contain only relevant information that will be found on the test. She doesn't throw curveballs during tests and is extremely helpful during office hours. Read the textbook AHEAD of class, go to class, and go to office hours if confused. Always go to office hours for homework questions because she will mark you off a fair amount of points for a slightly incorrect answer.

Missed the first day, went to the second day. Went to the midterm. Went to the Final. Three days of class total. I got a B, easy. This kind of shit gives our school a bad name.

I was in Professor Connolly's first ever class she taught at Cal Poly and I thoroughly enjoyed her lectures. She was able to make topics interesting and relatable and was also a pretty fair grader. Only downside was that we didn't get a break during a two hour lecture, but I would definitely take another course with her!

Let me say that she's a kind person. Everything else about this class was a nightmare, the concepts were never introduced coherently. In class she would constantly get distracted or hung up on a thought. The class was 2.5 hours straight sitting behind a computer totally confused. Most people left half way through cuz the book did a better job than any of the ridiculousness going on in the classroom. AVOID

Connolly is a really nice lady. She is easily approachable and is somewhat helpful in office hours. Her class, however, was the biggest waste of time. It was 2 and a half hours, which doesn't sound bad except for the fact she probably covered about 20 minutes of material that whole time. The rest of the time was spent confused. The majority of class wouldn't show up or would leave half way through because going to class almost made the material more confusing than just following the book. She would randomly call on people to answer questions about information we had yet to cover. If you take this class READ THE BOOK. The only reason I got the grade I did was because I taught myself entirely off of the book. The examples are easier to follow. The homework was extremely difficult however I did not find the exams to be very challenging. Without the cheat sheet they would've been very hard but she allows you a page front and back. Overall, I really did like her as a human but she was not a talented professor.

Terrible at explaining the concepts. Did not have any structure to the class (very spotted teaching of new info)

Dr. Connolly really cares about her students. She only wants us to understand the material and do well. She has gotten way better at explaining material, especially since this class is a bit harder to convey to students. However, the final project should be due before finals so not everyone is stressed and it is kinda a pain. Connolly is a very sweet person and is really helpful when you ask her questions during exams, I recommend taking her as this class wasn't as bad as I thought !
