Rodrigo is a cool dude and definitely knows his shit. He is 100% too qualified to be teaching this lab from another professor's notes. That being said, he did not teach this course well. Our lab was designed by the lecture professor (Dr. Edwards) so Rodrigo had little to no input on what we learned and only knew the material the week before he had to teach us. He was pretty decent the first half of the quarter and then got fed up with us all in class and our questions. He repeatedly said "it's not rocket science", "you shouldn't be struggling with this", "this is ridiculous, just learn it", which (shockingly) did not make help us learn at all! His teaching assistant was a gift from God and helped us all and held his own office hours that saved many of us. Overall easy lab (100% just for showing up and then the lab practical counts for 1/9 of your lab grade and 2.5% of the grade for the class).

Doesn't teach any of the material clearly. Doesn't answer any question that the students ask. Very disorganized and condescending. Worst lab I have ever taken at Cal Poly. Take any other lab teach besides him!!!!! Also, he has a very strong accent and is hard to understand.

He is a cool and funny guy but you honestly cannot understand a single word he says and he does not not how to explain anything. He will teach something and then tell you that you're wrong when you try and solve it. The class was very disorganized and he was very unprepared and very unclear about what he expected from us.

Manjarin has so far been awesome to take anatomy with. He clearly put a lot of time into his poly learn. He has a very detailed schedule of how each class will go, but that doesn't mean that he wont change thing around when needed. Also, he gives a TON of extra credit opportunity which is very helpful because anatomy isn't the easiest subject. I am a little unsure of what to expect for the final, but I feel like he will clarify what he is looking for us to know based on how the class has gone so far.

He made this class seem so difficult but it really is not. All the work is very do able. He presents a lot of material but tells you exactly what will be on the final. Theres a quiz each day in class that as long as you pay attention you will be fine. All other midterms/quizzes are online and take home. Also, if he tells you there is a quiz on the first day of class -- its not a real quiz it was a jeopardy game for extra credit. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. I wouldn't say I really learned too much, but it was an easy class.

IF YOU CAN TAKE THIS CLASS WITH ANOTHER PROFESSOR DO IT!!!! Honestly this class sucked. While the labs were pretty cool the actual lecture part of the class is so dumb. He gives you an obnoxious amount of information and it is honestly impossible for ANYONE to be able to remember 1/4 of it. then the tests are over very small details about the information and not even the big picture ideas. He talks way too fast for anyone to follow along and when people asks questions he basically answers in a few words and moves on. There was WAY too much information and honestly if this class was a year long you probably still wouldn't know it all. People used to say that this class was too easy, so he made it WAY too hard. TAKE SPRAYBERRY IF YOU CAN! STAY away until he figures this class out and makes it more organised i felt like i was in 5 different classes at once.

Unfortunately for my quarter he basically admitted he was giving up on the whole thing. The first class he made everything seems so well planned out and clear, even giving us an excel sheet that we could put our grades into to get our most accurate current grade. Very quickly things started going south. Due dates were never solid and changed regularly(even day of due date), he added and took away quizzes, exams, assignments and was unclear about how much everything was worth. Midterms worth 75 points were now worth 1 extra credit point but you had to get an A to get that point. The projects your team would work hard on would be worth points that barely affected your grade. He was unclear and then would abruptly leave during class and lab and leave his grad students to clean up his mess and teach us the rest. Even the grad students were confused about what we were doing on what days. Due to people cheating in other classes, hes resorted to making almost everything online and not worth any points. The quizzes and exams may have been easy (they were same qs from other quarters that he already posted), but the whole class was in a constant state of confusion because even he didn't know what was going on. The class was a mess and will continue to be a mess, take it with the alt professor if you want structure. Also note: He pushed that if you failed the final, you failed the class and that your final grade would basically be your grade. I got a D on the final because I was over it and passed with a B.

Honestly a pretty useless class... It is super easy to get a good grade with him because he gives you the questions and just makes you memorize the answers (for midterms and the final) but this means no learning. He would lecture for maybe 1 hour, then send everyone off to do useless activities that taught nothing. I'm pretty sure he does not actually like to teach and unfortunately it shows. He gives off the impression that he's there because he is forced to teach a class and the only reason hes at Cal Poly is because he wants to do research.

As long as you have some background information, the class is easy to get through. He does focus more on humans than on animal anatomy/physiology. Very passionate about the subject. Probably better to take a different professor if you don't have any knowledge on the subject, but if you do I recommend. Pretty straight forward and fun class.

Manjarin has a very good grasp on the subject and has very full powerpoints with videos and loads of labeled diagrams. He even has the power points online that you can print with space for note taking which helped a lot when copying slide notes was a bit difficult due to his fast paced lectures. Don't let the loads of information scare you because he give practice exams for both midterms that are not graded and are very similar to the actual exams. He also has review sections on polylearn that truly help with the multiple choice sections on the exams. Honestly if you just show up, do the lab assignments and pay attention to the powerpoints you can easily get a good grade.

The guy can't keep his word on anything. He puts on the syllabus that the lab portion of the final is open book, then shows up and says you can't use the book even though it's literally on the syllabus that you can. Also don't believe anything he says about extra credit if it seems too good to be true. He said we could do an extra credit assignment for a 5 percent increase on our midterm grade, and it ended up being a 5 point increase. If you show up and pay attention you can get a B, but always always ask him to clarify what exactly you can bring to test, how much extra credit really is and how he is going to enter it into the grade book.

He is a nice guy, but man he speeds through the information. You must take good notes because you will need to know everything on every 70 slide lecture he gives. He spits out several due dates at once and then never mentions them again. Make sure you sit with a productive group, because you do a few presentations as well as the labs with the same group. He gave us a study guide for the midterm which for the most part resembled the same questions on the midterm, which was nice. However, studying without a study guide seems impossible when there is so much information to know. He definitely knows what he is talking about, but sometimes its hard for students to understand him and process that information.

PROS: HOT! I mean he is some serious eye candy that will leave you clueless and speechless with his speedy luring accent. Sure you will learn the occasional term or definition in class but hey my heart got a workout from just talking to him face to face. CONS: Skinny Jeans and minion obsession is real Cameras in office so don't try to make a move...because he is mine
