Great teacher, she is a recently graduated grad student. AERO 215 can be a tough class but Michelle was very knowledgeable about the MATLAB portion, and her tests were the most fair I've had in college.

Terrible instructor. With that, she's actually a smart person and is knowledgeable in MATLAB, and was semi-helpful in office hours. But as far as her class went, she absolutely sucked. Her maximum teaching ability only went as far as reading the powerpoint (that she did not make) word for word for 3 straight hours, too quickly to write down, and then refused to post the slides on Polylearn. She's a prissy-pants teenager (actually just an immature 26 year old) who cares more about her hairstyle than her students. I had no idea which equations were for which idea, or how to apply the concepts, the only reason I passed was because I lived with a third year who had taken this class before. Any other professor is preferable to Michelle.

Michelle is a very knowledge grad student that really cares about the space portion. She has a concentration in astronautics so she isn't really enthusiastic about the aeronautics portion. The class is split with 4 weeks of aeronautics and 4 weeks of astronautics. She reads off the powerpoint word for word but she explains it in depth after she reads it unless she feels like there is no need for more explanation. She does go really fast and does not post up lecture slides online so be prepared to write really quickly and listen to her. She is an expert in MATLAB and helped with a malfunction on my code because I overwrote a function that was built into MATLAB. If you study for the midterms, you should be fine. She is really helpful during office hours and will clarify anything you are unsure about. Would highly recommend

This class would have been terrible if she wasn't helpful outside of class. What pissed me off the most about this class: She literally blazes through the slides, sometimes FOR 3 HOURS STRAIGHT(no breaks, or lack of)! AND SHE DIDN'T POST THE SLIDES ON POLYLEARN UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE AN EXAM! Withholding slides from us was unnecessary as in-class exclusive notes were more fundamental to the class. I would bet most of us still would have showed up for class anyways. She does stop to explain parts of the slides sometimes, but I recommend you just take pictures of the slides and notes, given you have a decent camera. Exams: They were surprisingly reasonable given the amount of material covered in class.
