Trian is a great guy and is very understanding of student difficulties. I had IME 140 lab with him where we learned to use SolidWorks and he taught it extremely well. He made the class follow along and was super nice if a student missed something. He can seem intimidating but he really is a cool guy. Definitely recommend him.

Trian is great. The only complaint is that he goes really fast and he is so good at solid works that if you have a problem, he has a hard time understanding why. The TA in the class was super helpful and I was always getting help from her. TELL HIM TO SLOW DOWN if you don't get it. Because once you get lost in solid works there is no going back and most likely other students are lost too if you are. Don't put off the homework because you'll probably have questions on it. But overall great guy, just a little bit of communication troubles.

Trian is a super helpful and awesome professor. He presented everything in lab very clearly and made sure to give us time, stopping for questions and keeping extra time for homework at the end of the period. He's mostly on top of things and gives good advice, so I'd highly recommend taking his class. He's also super nice.

Prof Georgeou is a capable and engaging speaker and is very helpful in lab. He is prepared for the class and presents the material in a straightforward method. No surprise, he's a shop guy. He also relates to students well which is refreshing. I was almost able to turn my handmade screwdriver into a horcrux by pushing my labmate's hair into the lathe, but Georgeou asked him to put his hair up before i could manage. Bottom line: If you have the opportunity, take him. -Tom Riddle Reviews

Trian is awesome. The midterm and final are kind of hard, but other than that he's a really great guy and a great teacher in the labs. He helps you and understands if you're not doing so well. He is a fair grader on the projects. Overall, he's an awesome teacher and guy!

Super cool guy. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the material he teaches. If you are a mechanical engineering major, you should find the content and the way he teaches the content very captivating. He shows a lot of cool videos and tells cool stories sometimes. He prepares you SO well for both the midterm and the final, making sure you know exactly what will be on it. Highly recommend.

Trian is really cool! I only had him for the lecture, but he is definitely the professor you need to have at 7am. His energy gets you truly interested in the material even though you're still half asleep. He was extremely understanding and sympathetic with his students, and will always be able to help you out. There are weekly quizzes that force you to come to lecture, but they're never a concern, and the midterm and final are not too difficult either. Overall, this class is relatively easy and entertaining.

Trian is awesome. I had him for the lab and I really enjoyed it. He's super chill and understanding and he is really good at showing everyone how to use all the machinery, which can be a bit intimidating at first. I think my B mainly came from the lecture half of the course.

Trian is the fucking man. He will show you how to do all the lab projects, go over homework with you, and give answers to the final and midterm. I just don't understand how he has time to teach with all the poon he slays in his free time.

Trian is the MAN! The chilliest professor at Poly. He presents everything so clearly, and sometimes even makes fun at the other IME professors. Is chill if you make small mistakes on all of the projects, but won't skimp on taking off points. He goes through all of the quizzes for the lecture before they're due, so you easily ace them. Also, does the majority of homework in class and tells you at least two class periods in advance when homework or projects is due. He made learning about screws and manufacturing extremely fun and easy. Absolutely, if you have the chance, take Georgeou.

Trian is the chillest, coolest teacher I have ever had. He teaches the lecture and some lab sections, so all the information you get is the most important stuff. His quizzes and tests are not hard as long as you show up and pay attention. He is super chill when it comes to the projects, always cracking jokes with students, and really just wants you to have fun learning about machining. He is an amazing professor and if you have the opportunity, absolutely take him.

I am a 5th year and I have never written a "polyratings" eval so the fact that I am writing one for Trian should say something. Trian made class fun, educational, and challenging enough to keep my attention while still feeling like a light weight 100 level class. The HW is easy points, lab midterm was very fair and pretty easy so long as you did the HW, and the lab final was slightly more challenging than the midterm but that's probably because I didn't really study much for it. Lecture tests are a bit more challenging so study more for those. All in all, Trian is one of those teachers who knows his stuff (and knows how to teach it), wants you to succeed (thus goes out of his way to help you), and enjoys the occasional machining pun. Thanks for a great quarter Trian; Sawwwww dude!

Trian was good! Very chill and willing to help us out. Whenever things got behind w/our project in lab he was willing to adjust and help us out. A little fast paced one in a while (even in office hours) but I'm pretty sure it's cuz he's teaching/grading gazzilions of freshman in large classes. By the end of the class though if you were a good student in participation and in general, he'd be more socialble with us. Class material itself was easy.

He is the only professor I would be willing to sit through a 3-5pm friday lecture with. He is my literal favorite person.

Trian is sooo dope. He's a great teacher. Wish I had him as a lab instructor too. He loves what he is teaching and tries to make it as interesting and enjoyable as possible. He tells you exactly what will be on the midterm and final for both the lab and lecture portion. Even though the midterm was somewhat difficult, there is no reason why you cant get an A in this class. In the beginning of the quarter there is a decent about of graded homework but it quickly dies off and all you work on is in class projects. Great class and great professor!

Trian is an awesome lecturer! You can tell he really cares about the material he's teaching, and he's super helpful during office hours. As long as you pay attention and take notes, you'll do fine.

I took this class Fall 2017. Excellent professor who is friendly and makes sure his students understand the material and his pace is alright. He assigned us a good amount of homework at the beginning of the quarter, which are mostly drawings and answering reading questions, then backs off a bit as the quarter progresses, which is very helpful for us. His midterms are fair and does not consist of anything outside what he teaches. Same with his final. Just put in the effort and study your notes and book then you should be fine. Not the easiest A you'll get, but not the toughest either. He has incredible knowledge about cars and motorcycles and owned some cool cars/motorcycles. Definitely get to know him personally if you're looking to work in the automotive industry. He is a great guy to talk to anyways.

Trian is a great guy and very interested in what he is teaching. He knew the 7am 2-hour long lecture was pretty awful at times, but he encouraged us to stay engaged and did a great job of actually teaching material that could be learned rather than just memorized for a short period of time until the class was over. I got a lot out of this class. Attendance is a part of the grade because he'll give you pop quizzes during lecture. Overall, he's pretty relaxed if you're paying attention and have a willingness to learn.

Trian is an asset to Cal Poly. He has a ton of knowledge on manufacturing and mechanical engineering. He's really helpful in class and his exams are very fair because he pretty much goes over everything that will be on the exam a lecture before it. Take him for as many IME classes as you can.
