Douglas was a great professor. His midterms weren't hard and there were three so you could always do better on the next one. He's also really funny and keeps the class interesting, despite being a physics course.

Douglas is sarcastic and breezes through life. If you have a question, go ahead and ask because he's there for you and wants to help. DO THE MASTERING PHYSICS. And then, DO IT AGAIN. I got an A on every test just by knowing all the homework. Also, go to class because he does't use a book so that's all you have to go off of. Definitely recommend, especially if you're not super great at physics.

Andrew is really great at teaching... if you show up to class. In his PHYS 121 class, he doesn't use the textbook which shouldn't be a problem. BUT COME TO CLASS! He explains the material beautifully with great example problems... He will basically remind you of that great math teacher you had in high school. He also replaces your lowest midterm if you do better in the final. FUN FACT: he's British. I called him out on it one time and he denied it but he does have a British accent. I also had him at 8 am in the morning... He often flexes his muscles when he's teaching which I found pretty attractive so I had no trouble staying awake in that class... But yeah, TAKE HIM.

Professor Douglas is a really cool guy. He's extremely bright and his humor is so great ( dry and sarcastic). If you want the A Just pay attention in class, really do the homework, and go to a shit ton of office hours. Yes, the lectures can be tough to follow and fast-paced but thats the nature of the class. At the end of this class I found myself really enjoying physics and liking the math behind the curriculum. Take advantage of his office hours, its a good place to get your homework done and fix any confusions you have about the curriculum.

Andrew Douglas is a very nice guy. If you go to office hours, he will help you a lot. HOWEVER, his homework problems are extremely unfair. I went to study sessions and countless tutors on top of office hours, and no one could help me. Everyone told me that they had never seen his problems before. I do not recommend taking his class unless you already have a clear understanding of physics because he curves the class in the end A LOT (everyone got curved up 9-10%).

Honestly I was dumb enough to take this class for fun as a GE when it has nothing to do with my major, and my GPA paid for it. Douglas is cool because he lets your final replace your lowest midterm, and if you go to office hours, he's helpful. Unfortunately his office hours are dominated by students in his other classes, so it was hard to get help. Also he didn't use a book (which I thought would be a plus because the book was supposed to be super expensive), so all we had to go off of was the notes in class. To give you an idea of how hard the class was: at the end of the quarter he had to curve it 9% to make it fair. With the curve I went from a 70% to a 79%, so that was nice of him, but the stress during the quarter was horrible because no one could help me with his weird homework and test problems. Not my engineer friends, not by family with physics minors, not even the Cal Poly tutors or TAs. Word to the wise: choose your physics professor carefully, and don't just take it because you used to watch Mythbusters and thought it would be fun.

Douglas was a very nice and understanding guy. His homework assignments took FOREVER and his lecture was just him teaching you through working out problems. His midterms where way harder than any problems we had during homework but where fairly similar to lecture examples. If you go to every lecture and go over homework problems with him you will get everything you need to know and do well.

So I went to every single class and as many office hours as I could, but I still consider myself lucky to have gotten a B. It really should've been a B- because it was an 80% (with a 9% curve) but he doesn't do minuses (he does pluses though praise). He was a cool guy though, very laid back. He let you argue your test grades if you think you should've earned more points. Overall, super hard class with no one who can help you, but he was a chill person *shrugs*

I don’t yet know what my final grade is for the course yet, in an attempt to be somewhat unbiased. I decided to take Douglas based on the glowing reviews people have given him, and I can now say there are few, if any, worse decisions I have made in my life. He’s an awful lecturer, he gets lost in thought and uses really convoluted explanations to attempt to answer questions, only confusing students more. Instead of doing examples to further understanding, he insists on wasting class time by deriving many of the formulas, even though it’s not a calculus based physics class. It’s clear he’s extremely intelligent, he just cannot relate the material to students that don’t have experience in higher level physics. Honestly, I think this class bores him, so he doesn’t care to teach it well. The first midterm class average was 62%. He isn’t even going to get through all of the lecture material by the end of the quarter, and has said several times that he “doesn’t really care how we end up doing in the class”. He won’t use the book, so the only source of practice is his strange homework assignments that he makes up himself, but doesn’t teach anyone how to actually do. They say hindsight is 20/20, but if I had to do this again (and I might have to do this again...) I would definitely pick Saunders.

I would 10/10 recommend taking physics 122 with Professor Douglas! He is probably one of the most caring and dedicated teachers I have had at Cal Poly thus far. If you are looking for an easy A, this is probably not the class you are looking for. The tests are fairly challenging and so are his homework problems (But he does replace your lowest midterm with your final exam grade if it is higher, and you can take in your own equation sheet as long as it doesn't have any additional formulas on it!). This being said, if you put the time and energy in to this class you will 100% get what you put in to it. Douglas is the ONLY teacher I know who scheduled his office hours for an hour and a half every day of the week. He even offered a few five hour study sessions the weekend before the final. Another plus to taking Douglas's class is he doesn't believe in giving out "minus" grades, so if you earn and 80 or a 90 that is an A or a B. A few things I disliked about Douglas's teaching style were the derivations. Personally, unless we are required to know the derivation, I didn't want to see it. Do ASK in class if you are required to know certain derivations, because there are a few you ARE required to know. My overall experience taking Douglas's class was a positive one! If you put the effort in and go to office hours Douglas will help you through the challenging material. If you are a regular at his office hours, you will start to see the really funny, personable and caring side of Douglas. This class is not the easiest, but it will probably be the best physics class you ever take if you give it a chance and put lots of effort in!

The average for all for his tests were in a 62-65% range, but he curves them all to make the average a 75%. He also doesn't give out A-, B- or C- grades, so thats dope. Douglas is pretty cool. his class isn't to bad if you GO TO OFFICE HOURS!

Keeps students 10 minutes late EVERY day. Rambles on about things that aren't going to be on the test. Weights homework way to heavily. Doesn't explain anything in lab. Realizes none of his students care about physics, but doesn't make an effort to engage anyone. TESTS ARE STRAIGHT OUT OF THE MASTERING PHYSICS SO DO THAT. I didn't and that's why I got a C, an A is probably possible if you did and understood the homework.

Dr. Douglass is the best physics teacher I have encountered at Cal Poly. He is a great at presenting material and never tests on things he didnt specifically go over in class. He also very approachable and accommodating. There were various times i couldnt make his office hours and he always made time to meet with me even if it was on a sunday. Definitely take him for any physics course. super awesome teacher that also will make this whole class laugh with how funny he is!

It sometimes seems like Dr. Douglas is bored when lecturing, but that's probably because he has a doctoral degree in physics and to him, thermodynamics and E&M are old. He's actually really intelligent and explains concepts very clearly. Also, he physically derives most equations that you will encounter in the course; this can be good, but the book carries out entirely different derivations of the same physics. But take notes, skim the book, go to class, and his midterms and final will be moderately difficult at most. I would recommend Dr. Douglas.

Douglas is a super nice guy with some dry humor but I found it really hard to pay attention in his class due to his boring tone. He also only does derivations instead of examples which I found unhelpful. He does give you old midterms as practices though, which definitely helps you get by.

Andrew Douglas is one of my favorite professors. A lot of people say he's "boring" but I disagree. He speaks rather monotonely but its hard to stay zoned out because he sprinkles dry humor in thought the classes. I think he presents the work very clearly and doesn't try to trick you with anything. All of the test questions come from the homework. Would recommend this professor 10/10

Douglas is a very okay professor. He knows his material for sure. But as others have mentioned here, he is indeed very monotone and can be boring. This made it hard for me to pay attention in class, and his lectures are very confusing if you are just copying notes from the board. He loves derivations and spends the majority of time deriving things, but it’s good to pay attention to it because you may have to plug in formulas and partially derive new ones on the exams to be able to answer some of the questions. He definitely doesn’t go too fast, but usually that comes to bite him near the midterms because he hasn’t quite covered everything he needs to and ends up rushing. Definitely study his examples and do the practice exams. Do the homework too. His exams (in my opinion) were unreasonably hard and hard to make sense of, but he made up for it by curving the class at the end (not by much, but he only gave solid grades and pluses [B/B+, but no B-], which I thought was really nice). Other professors are better and more straightforward, but Douglas isn’t the worst professor either. Just be prepared to be confused a lot but you can do okay in the class.

Professor Douglas is such a great professor and is very willing to help. I started going to his office hours the last few weeks of the quarter, but I wish I had gone the whole quarter because he was extremely helpful. He offered a total of 10 hours of office hours the weekend before the final! The class averages for the midterms and the final were about a 66% which is very low in my opinion. But, my 1 hour section got the same midterms as his section that has an 1.5 hours so I think everyone in the class can agree that we felt pressed for time. He gave everyones final grade about a 2% boost, which I think was his way of compensating for our lack of time on the midterms. I did not think that was equal to the compensation that we deserved for that time difference, but of course I was happy that he did that! His lectures are a little boring, but he is extremely knowledgeable and I would recommend taking his class.

Andrew is a totally nice chill guy, in fact I think he is a little too chill which is why I had trouble in his lectures. For my class we were consistently about 3 weeks behind on the material, because lecture was focused a lot on proofs, which took a long time and were generally beyond the understanding level of the class. To be fair I had this class early in the morning, so that didn't help my focus, also Andrew has a very relaxing and soothing voice, so I sometimes had a hard time not dozing off, but even if it had been a later class time i think i still would have been confused by the lecturing style. Lectures were very disorganized, Andrew would show up to lecture and just talk without notes or pre-prepared examples, which made it confusing because the on the spot examples he gave often did not work out. However, toward the end of the quarter the class did get better, and I think overall Andrew is probably one of the better physics teachers here. He does give very fair warning about what is on the tests, and works with students on their level, it doesn't feel like he thinks he is better than his students, which is nice. I think he is a cool person, and this was a decent class, just be prepared for disorganization.

Douglas is super thorough when it comes to deriving equations which is sort of time consuming but is really helpful because you actually learn where equations come from and you don't have to memorize all of them. While class can drag at times, Douglas does his best to mix in funny examples and his dry humor to keep things rolling. Even though he does quite a few examples in class, you will still want to go into office hours every so often as sometimes it is hard to adapt and use the equations given in lecture on the homework. I also had Douglas for the Lab portion of this class. The labs were all super helpful in understanding the material and he doesn't require a write up so it's pretty straightforward and painless. Definitely take him!

This is the second time I've taken Douglas, and while I still think he's pretty damn good for our physics department, I wasn't feeling him as much this quarter. Maybe he's just not as passionate about phys 132 as he is about 133? Anyways, he's really good about explaining stuff in a way that makes sense. Has good office hours. He talks really quiet and has somewhat poor handwriting so you really have to focus during class. Be warned his tests tend to be very difficult! Like, way more difficult than the hw and examples he does in class. This was the first time I had him for a lab and it was pretty easy. You just have to show him the test results and then you take a quiz on the previous lab the next week. Sometimes he lectures for like half of the lab which can be boring. Overall, I'd recommend him because I'm not sure we have anyone better at poly.

I freaking loved dougey smalls!!! I thought he was a great a professor and a very chill and cool person to talk to. He presented the materials clearly and made sure he did examples that went along with it. His homework load was kind of on the heavy side but SPEND TIME IN HIS OFFICE HOUR, he will help you with hw patiently even though his office is usually filled with students. His tests were pretty easy in my opinion. Figure out all homework problems and look over lecture examples and you will be set. The only thing that kind of bothered me was that he talked super quietly in class. Just make sure you sit in the front of the class.

the subject itself is hard enough, you need a good teacher to present the material in a way that is understandable to his/her students. i could not keep up with his lectures, i studied at least 3 hours a day for this class and went to office hours weekly yet got F's on every single one of his tests. the class average up until the final was a 60% because he makes the tests really hard. I can't see myself doing any better in this class if i retook it with him as the teacher just because i was that confused. most of the class ended up with D's and C's and a lot of people failed. some of my friends who were in the same physics with a different professor mentioned to me how they did not experience the level of difficulty i described to them in my class. I received a B in the previous physics class so i don't think my D was due to the fact that I'm stupid in the subject.

Douglas is GREAT!!!! His homework is all online and he would move the due dates back if someone begged him to, so it was never overwhelming. If you make sure to DO the homework, the exams are not bad at all and are pretty fair. If someone felt that they were unfairly marked down on a midterm question, they could discuss with him in office hours and he would change the grade. His office hours are SUPER helpful. Even if you don't have a specific question, doing the homework there was really useful in preparing for the exams. He even brought candy to office hours the last few weeks and during our final. He is also super chill for the lab section, and the weekly lab quizzes were doable if you were physically present during the lab. Sure, his lectures are a little hard to follow, but he wouldn't hesitate to answer student's questions. (also he doesn't really post grades and lectures for an hour of lab sometimes)

So if you make sure you understand the homework and redo all the problems before the test you will ace it. Also, GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. He's such a chill dude. Not gonna lie, this class was a lot of work but definitely worth it. Professor Douglas has a deep passion for the subject, and definitely knows what he is talking about (unlike some other unnamed professors who get lost in their own lectures). The fact that he goes out of his way and tangents to answer people's questions makes him one of the more qualified professors at Cal Poly. That said, Physics II can be confusing. On top of that, his homework assignments (now self-made and not through Mastering Physics) and his exams are both super hard. However, he truly cares about the success of every single one of his students. Whether during office hours or in class, Professor Douglas is always available to help you answer questions. If you're someone who actually cares about learning and not just about the grade you get from the class, take Professor Douglas. Also, ask him about his experience on Florida roads.

I am halfway through the quarter currently and this guy hasn't thoroughly explained anything. All he does is derive equations, you get lucky to see an example, and then he moves on. He doesn't check for any understanding, doesn't care how the class responds to anything he does, he doesn't talk to the class at all, and sucks at explaining things when you ask him questions. He also mumbles the whole time and his slideshows look like they are written 15 min before class, which he is usually late to, so you can't ask him about hw questions. Now, on to his hw and his equation sheet. The equation sheet is awful and doesn't flow at all. It looks like a grenade went off with all the equations in the middle, and his hw is extremely hard and you probably won't understand what's happening because he hasn't shown any examples and doesn't post any solutions to the hw to learn off of. You better be really good at physics prior to coming into this class to do well. I don't expect to learn anything in this class and that's a bummer.

Like: Overall, a lot of minor things... lenient, a decent sense of dry humor, he has a lot of fun sending us many many emails, and writing fun little things like "Please derive this formula for Master Yoda :) " or somethin on tests and homework. Also his microsoft paint examples in his powerpoints are so ridiculous they're actually comical. Dislike: Overall, a lot of major things... this is the most unorganized teacher or professor I've ever had. Homeworks were extremely tedious, he put very little effective effort into the class, and lecture was at points very hard to follow because he could not seem to clearly present material. oh and we had to take Exam 1 THREE TIMES because Douglas only printed 40 exams for his 70 students BOTH TIMES. The result of this is that we had to take the exam 2-3 weeks later than planned, which in this amount of time the knowledge of that curriculum had already been long out of our heads. It's like if he had given us an exam on The Articles of Confederation. I don't remember that, it was like 3 years ago (same idea anyhow). Douglas is a cool guy and his humor is enjoyable, but he is one of the worst professors I've encountered here at Cal Poly. Deep down inside him he has the ability to be a great professor, but this dude puts in less effort than the minimum. Would NOT recommend.

Not gonna lie, I absolutely love this guy's personality. He's one of the quirkiest dudes I've met and I love it. That being said, he is not the best teacher. I never really knew what was going on during lecture, or lab, and pretty much taught myself everything I know from his slideshows. THE SLIDESHOWS! I actually loved the slideshows. They gave you a concise, clear understanding of information from the course; you just had to learn everything yourself. His exams were challenging, but fair; many questions were just like the homework, and other questions still utilized similar concepts/ideas. Douglas does come off as though he just doesn't care about the class and whether you learn or not (as shown by his carelessness in printing exams, which led to us essentially "retaking" the first midterm 3 times). But I truly believe that he does care about teaching, or he wouldn't be doing it. He just has a special way of showing it. All in all, Douglas is the kind of guy I want to befriend, but not necessarily learn physics from. Hope that helps :)

Prof. Douglas is very smart, helpful, and he is very laid back. His lab section is ridiculously easy, and you never have lab write ups and are usually out an hour+ early. That being said, he spends too much time deriving, then rushing through one example at the end of class. He assigns a butt ton of Mastering Physics and the problems are much harder than the stuff that he covers in class. His exam problems always have tricks to them, and they should be much more straightforward. Overall, Douglass is a good professor, but he doesn't deserve a polyrating this high.

Aside form being sexy af and really funny, professor Douglas does not present the material clearly. He talks very quietly and spends all his time on derivations instead of example problems, when its not even in the course curriculum that we need to understand derivations. And just about every problem on his midterms requires us to derive some formula we haven't experienced before instead of learning to use the formulas we are given. Also he does this fun thing where he says "dont worry about memorizing formulas, ill give them to you on the midterm" then only gives like 2 of them. He is a super cool guy but a terrible lecturer. What a disaster of a class! I don't know how he has a 3.0 on polyratings. Lets start out with the positives. Douglas is a very laid back, and approachable person. When I went into office hours, it was so easy to talk to him and get help. But the class itself was very poorly structured. The lectures were very dry and boring, his hand writing is microscopic, and he stands in front of the board and writes paragraphs at a time that nobody can read. The homework was very hard and frustrating, and the tests were borderline impossible. It felt like nothing he lectures was on the homework or tests. The averages on the tests were always in the 50's or 60's and this is with his VERY GENEROUS grading with partial credit. I BS'ed every single problem on both midterms, and somehow got C's. If he graded like an average professor, I would have gotten like 20% on the midterms. If I could go back, I would not take Douglas again for 133. This class was unreasonably hard and frustrating for a basic physics class. The tests alone scarred me for life. DO NOT TAKE DOUGLAS FOR 133!!

Personally, I enjoyed Douglas a lot. The main complaint people have about him is that the class was too difficult. This is not his fault because e&m is easily the hardest physics out of physics I-III. Instead of just giving us formulas he would explain why these things happen, albeit sometimes too much. The lab is easy and I actually learned a lot in the labs. There is a lot of homework online but you need to complete all of it because all of it is important on the midterms/final. Overall, I would highly recommend you take this guy. Super chill and extremely knowledgable. Again, the class is hard because of the curriculum not because he goes out his way to screw over students. This class was the worst class I've taken here. He is nothing but an incompetent fool. He thinks that jokes are more important than explanations. If you learn best when things are explained, examples worked through, or homework relevant to midterms you should avoid this professor. He understands that he is a bad teacher and does nothing to improve. I am surprised that he still has his job and I think he's surprised too. Some of the positive reviews are probably written by him. He would randomly add homework in the middle of the week (using mastering physics) so if you didn't check everyday you'd miss points. There were an average of 30-40 homework problems a week, all pointless and none helped you learn. I regret not dropping him.

Dr. Douglas makes PHYS 133 harder than it needs to be. While he eventually warmed up over the quarter, his lectures felt very robotic and it sounded like he was as bored as the students while talking. His lecture classes are just a constant stream of information and derivations, which don't always line up with the homework. His midterms also ask questions that are much more in-depth than the examples he goes over in lecture. Test grades survive on partial credit and partial credit alone. I believe he does know the material well, but he struggles to teach the students what he's thinking. While he started the quarter very quiet and monotone, he eventually started to make jokes and interact with the students in the second half of the quarter.

I'm in no way convinced this man is qualified to teach a physics course of this level. Everyday he gave off a vibe that he wasn't sure what he was supposed to be teaching. Often times he would just run through slides or information and make some remark about how even though we need to know the information being presented he didn't expect us to understand it. He would then move on without offering any further clarification. His lack of knowledge of the course subject matter was further apparent when doing homework and tests. It was as if the homework, midterms, and lectures were from three different classes. The homework always possessed problems we had never discussed and then the midterms were once again vastly different than the homework and the lecture. This made studying and understanding material for this class nearly impossible. As a professor, even though he seems like a good guy, he is not capable of making lecture at all interesting or at the very least valuable. He has a sad, dark , sense of humor which is probably a result of his feeling of depression which is also a central talking point of his each lecture. Sitting in class felt like the longest hour of my life. I would sit for what felt like an eternity copying notes from the board only to get to a simple equation which would barely ever be used again. Every time I sat through this class I could feel a bit of my soul die within me.

This class was disjointed, ill taught and not rewarding at all. I got a B because I went to his office hours the day of the test but I probably earned a C- despite going to class, studying, and doing the homework. If you're in the class and can't get out, just go to the LAST office hours and don't waste your time on the rest of them. Focus elsewhere and it's okay to cry.

Before I start reviewing Andrew, I'd like to point out that Andrew is new to Cal Poly and is still adjusting. By That, I mean he is still learning how to better reach the students here and how many midterms/quizzes he is going to give. His first quarter he gave 9 midterms. His second quarter he only gave 3 because "students hated having 9 midterms". So, While he may not be perfect, he does care and is adopting to better help students succeed. Now, you should actually read the rest of this because it contains insightful information. Andrew is a unique character. He's one of those guys who have been unfortunate enough to be cursed with a monotonous voice. He enjoys teaching, but you may not realize it because of his tone (or therefor lack of). He's not the type of guy that gets really excited about what he's teaching but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy it. With all of that being said, Andrew also isn't the type of guy that gets absorbed into the "routine" of his lecture. He actively looks for understanding and attempts to revitalize the class when he sees too many people dozing off or giving him "blank stares". This scenario usually happens once per class so the latter half of the class tends to involve some sort of silly problem that invokes a dialogue between him and the class. Then, on a good day, the whole class will laugh and continue on with lecture. If you want to get on his good side, go to office hours. Seriously. About once a week, he'll bring up how bored he gets sitting in his office for hours on end. If you go in regularly, He'll even work example problems with you that will (unbeknownst to you) be on the midterms. Even if you don't want to be his pet, He's helpful during office hours and genuinely wants you to do well. His midterms are of reasonable difficulty and often include problems from the homework. He grades pretty fairly and discussing your grades will not always be a fruitless debate. As of now, he gives three midterms per quarter and one final. As I mentioned earlier however, that might change. My biggest grope with him is the homework (Which isn't entirely his fault). I absolutely hate MasteringPhysics. I know a bunch of physics teachers here use that. The biggest flaw with MasteringPhysics is the frequency with which the stored answer is wrong. So if you feel like you truly got an answer right but MasteringPhysics is robbing you of credit, Go into office hours and work the problem with him. If you ended up being correct, he will take note and adjust your grade appropriately.

Honestly, this guys is a really good physics teacher. He has a terribly boring voice, but other than that he is a hilarious nerd with the social skills of your weird uncle. His 141 class was basically all example problems that would be similar to those that appeared on his midterms (there were 6). (He does do mastering physics but if you went to office hours he would explain how to do the problems very well) But seriously if you can take "Dougy," do it.

Great teacher! Didn't do well in the class but I can honestly say that was on me and not on Andrew's teaching. Class may get dull more often than not but he does thoroughly give you what you need to know. Midterms are fair because they're based off practice problems if not the exact ones. Very approachable after class or office hours, and eventually when he warms up to the class he does make jokes and the class does get more enjoyable to go to. Would recommend.

Douglas is a good teacher for 141, very straightforward class and grading system. Presented material well, helped in office hours with homework and explaining concepts. He wants everyone to do well and is willing to help as best he can. He gives 3 midterms and one cumulative final. So 4 exams total and each worth 20%. Online homework that is also worth 20% and replaces lowest midterm score with higher final score!

When I signed up for Physics 141, Dr Douglas did not have a poly ratings page. I didn't know what I was getting into. The material was not presented very thoroughly during the lecture and we barely made it through 2 problems during our lecture time. The problems on the midterms were not similar to what we learned during the lectures. I felt that the biggest problem in the class was not being able to use formula sheets on the tests, or have them stored in my calculator (not a "smart" calculator). I ran into quite a few problems where I was using an "illegal" formula on a test and was docked a heavy amount of points simply because I used the formula with the least amount of steps and didn't derive it from one of the main formulas

This Prof is sarcastic as fukk. But i would recommend him for PHYS 141. Of all professors for the Physics series i would say he is within the 10% of the best. He makes the class enjoyable. The tests are relatively easy, and he will tell you ahead of time what kind of questions to expect. Should be easy to get an A if you can grasp some understanding of physics, if not go to his office hours, he is very helpful, but sarcastic as fukk

Douglas is great. His tests are hard, but there are 3 midterms, so if you mess up on one, its not the end of the world because you can even it out with a better grade on the next one. He is great in office hours, definitely take advantage of those. He even gave insight about material on midterms during office hours that he didn't share in class. He really knows his stuff and is almost mechanical in the way he presents it: walks in every day right at the beginning of class with a monster and a box of chalk and just goes. Lots and Lots of examples in class. He derives all of the equations that we use, and then uses those to do examples for the rest of the class period. Homework is helpful, hard sometimes, but helpful. Tries his hardest to be fair and give partial credit for tests (you can usually argue a few points if you think you deserve them) Seems to care about students. He even set up a google discussion board for us to go and discuss homework problems as a class.
