Dr.Eason is very knowledgeable but can be very boring during lecture. In class, he uses a monotone voice which makes lecture very boring. The material Dr.Eason presents is interesting but the way he presents it is boring. Lecture is not mandatory but you do have to complete and turn in your homework weekly. He takes the best out of 11 grades, so if you complete all homework assignments you do not need to take the final if you are satisfied with your grade. I forgot to turn in one of my homework assignments so I ended up taking the final. The final is easy but can be very detailed so study ALL powerpoint if you decide to take the final. I highly recommend you to complete the weekly homework and takes at most one hour each week to complete. This class is not hard.

Eason is suuuper nice. He wants you to get an A, said it himself in class. The class is super chill as to how it's set up. Onlly assignments we do are weekly online submissions and they're easy. Final is optional, it replaces your lowest HW score. Always cheerful and willing to answer questions in class. You can tell he means well and also when he tries to say quick jokes here and there. Tis a once a week lecture class. Class itself was interesting and not too time consuming.

Highly recommend Eason for BMED/BRAE 213. He is very chill and talks about very interesting topics in biomedical and genetic engineering. His voice is quite boring, but he tries to make jokes to offset that. He makes it easy to get an A (just do all your weekly assignments and turn them in ON TIME) and you don't even need to take the final. If you do decide to take it, you will have to study for it, but it's just online and you can do pretty well on it with some effort. A lot of people skip lecture, which he is okay with, because he posts everything on PolyLearn and you can just go through all of the material on your own. Going to class helps if you learn by listening, though. Very easy load, though, so I really recommend Eason for this class.

Showed up to the first class of the quarter and the last class of the quarter. Super easy class with moderately interesting material. He wants everyone in the class to get an A. I got a D on our final reflection homework and still got an A without having to take the final. Would recommend.

Very easy professor. If you didn't get an A there's was something wrong with you and I am not exaggerating. On the first day he said his goal in this class was to give everyone an A. Do the homework and you have an A, simple as that. Final is optional too. But I got nothing out of this class tbh, good thing it has nothing to do with my major.

Professor Eason is a very kind person and structures his class so that students succeed. He is funny and understands that this is a required class. The first day of the quarter, he told us he wanted us all to get As and to do so we needed to do 10 HW assignments (1 per week) and could take an optional final to replace one HW assignment. Also, he let my section out 30-45 mins early every week. I would suggest not taking notes in class, just pay attention and learn something. Since all assignments are online, there is no need to memorize anything. I thoroughly enjoyed his class. Take him for BMED/BRAE 213...he's the best prof out there for this class.

Eason is a good guy but going to his 213 lecture is pretty much pointless. The super easy HW is through PolyLearn (online) and it's not directly related to lecture, so you don't need to go to class to do it whatsoever. Theres no quizzes or exams, so it really is pointless to go to class unless you're genuinely interested in the subject matter. Many people skip lecture because theres no consequence for skipping. Im not saying the class is bad, the class is fine; the lecture is just kinda pointless.

It's easy to get an A and if you complete all of the HW, you don't have to take the final, but some homework is just busy work and just "extra." But, make sure you get 10/10 in all of the HW (pretty easy to get 10/10), since the final project's scores are determined by other students, and some students will grade your project harshly.

Dr. James Eason is the man for ENGR213. I think it was very chillax class. All you do in the class is meet once a week and do the HW. He is pretty strict about the format of HW because of the fact that there are more than 100 people in the class. He wants 1 page writing exactly and you have do some research and read some stuff for HW but it wasn't hard. Make sure to turn in HW on time because he gives you 0 and won't give you chance for make up. He teaches the class with other professor (Saikat Pal). They have the same format and for the Final exam it was mixed with various of multiple choice and answering in written question. I messed up on Final Exam but got an A in the class because I turned in all the HW on time. HW is worth 80% of your grade and he drops lowest i think. Final was 10% and evaluation for the class was 10% i believe. This class must be taken with BIO213 class. I recommend to get this teacher with BABU PRAVEEN.

Easiest class ever haha. Make sure you don't fall behind with homework because that's basically your grade. Just put in your hour or so a week and don't forget to do the assignments!! There are nine homework assignments, and a final but he drops your lowest homework grade. If you do all nine homeworks though, it replaces your final. Just do all your homeworks and you'll get an A without having to take the final. (It's BIO 213 that's hard to get an A in haha)

The class is a joke, they are considering making it an online course only. Eason is super chill and will lecture 50 minutes tops and then let you go early. The material is pretty interesting, and I'd say it's worth going to class because he will tell you how to do the homework. He told us straight up if you do the 8 hw assignments, you will get an A in the class (and he gives you full credit basically if you do it mostly correct). Take the 1 hour/week to do the homework and you'll be golden.

This class was so easy. There are 9 assignments and a final. If you do all nine assignments you don't have to take the final. Easy A, and Professor Eason is a good teacher, I definitely recommend him.

430 with Eason is a lab class. For the first 6-7 weeks you cover a different MATLAB topic each week. The lecture is an hour that usually gives background on the lab but isn't strictly necessary for the lab. The labs aren't that hard nor time consuming, especially if you're already OK with MATLAB. You can go to lab and Eason (and the TAs) is pretty good at helping you / telling you if you got it right, or you can do the lab before class and not bother going if you don't have any questions. The last few weeks of class you work on a simulation project either individually or in a pair (usually no lecture). The project is usually MATLAB but can technically be any simulation software. There's also an option to review a published simulation but that's no fun and misses the point of the class. Overall, interesting class, I liked learning some of the MATLAB techniques, project wasn't too bad especially if you start early so you have time to ask questions about weird MATLAB bugs.

What the guy/gal below said. Amen. I too took this class and have long since graduated from Poly, but I was cruising Poly Ratings for a kick and thought that I should pipe in and let you know how much of a joke this prof is.
