Fine teacher, but a little dry in the presentation. I wouldnt suggest having her at 8:00 in the morning, might be difficult staying awake.

There is nothing more enjoyable than going to class and listening to a very unbias Irish man talk about US politics, and then comparing it to the world. The great part about Dr Battle is that he is so well at presenting and can really get into a conversation and knows EVERYTHING. I honestly have no idea what side of the political scale he is on because he applauds and bashes both sides (mostly bashes). He also understands foreign politics so well that he can compare US to other countries and show why US is great, and lacking in other areas. I had no expectations going into this class, but SO glad I took him. He is a bit disorganized on PolyLearn, but it won't effect much. He presents, doesn't read off a powerpoint. Take Battle! Fairly easy and so important to educate yourself in this area.

Dr. Battle seems to be a very smart man. He also seems pretty passionate about the subject, but he wasn't as thorough as he should have been. It is difficult to follow his lectures, and it is hard to do the homework sometimes. However, he really tries to help you and genuinely wants to see you do well in this class. He is very adaptable, and always open in his office hours. Just make sure you attend all the classes, and make sure you ask questions!

Dr. Battle's teaching style is reminiscent of a stern but caring father. He has high expectations of his students and can be quite critical, but it's only because he wants you to succeed. Beneath Dr. Battle's somewhat harsh persona lies a good humored fellow who genuinely wants you to master the subject that he is teaching, and believes that you can, and I think that's what makes him such a good professor. I learned a great deal from his class, and despite his high expectations, he gives partial credit when grading and is not nearly as much of an a**hole as he makes himself out to be. Also, he is British. Take that to mean whatever you will, lol.
