I have never felt comfortable with math before. I still don't feel comfortable with math, and she knows that. But, the most important thing is that she embraces our struggles. She teaches us how to teach ourselves. She wants us to be comfortable with failing which is an awesome thing! She also really cares about her students you can tell! SHes the best! But you do have to try and showing up to class is a must

Saba is a brand new "professor" on campus, this last quarter being her first official quarter as an instructor. She introduced herself not as the teacher but more like a mentor. Most of the class was spent working on class notes and what not. Basically she left the entire class to fend for themselves and only assisted a little bit. We covered subjects completely unfamiliar to the entire class such as mods. Basically this class is a waste of time because you don't really learn any applicable math skills. Also if you're thinking this is an easy class, think again. It's hands down the hardest math class I have ever taken. While Saba is very understanding about the life of a student and accommodates well to problems they have. She's just a terrible teacher.

Saba was a very understanding teacher, and never failed in making sure that her students got all and any help that they needed. Always had open office hours conveniently for her students and made sure that they knew all the material.

Saba is the best math teacher I've ever had and it was her first quarter teaching. Her notes are VERY organized. She really makes sure you understand the material and is really great at teaching in general. Her quizzes and tests are really easy as long as you pay attention to her lectures and write down whatever she writes down. She's very very helpful, and always stays in contact with her students. She emails the class if she has something that will help with the homework. She gives quite a bit of homework, but she gives you a week to do it so unless you start the night before it's due, it's really not a lot. But she's a really great teacher and really helps you understand what you're learning. She has pretty cute tricks she likes to use while teaching, and it helps you learn better. Take her! I guarantee you'll get a great grade as long as you pay attention and take notes!

Great teacher! Made me enjoy math class. Very funny, charismatic, and understanding of the students needs and wants for the class. 10/10 would recommend.

Being my first quarter at Cal Poly, I was a little intimidated by what a college math class was going to be like especially since my math skills are very underdeveloped (thanks under funded public high schools). Saba was probably the best professor I could have been assigned for Math 118 . So many of my peers described their Pre Calc class as pure hell this quarter and some even dropped it but I did not share the same sentiments. Her class has weekly homework due every Friday, quizzes once a week that if you put some effort in and study for you will get a decent grade, two midterms, and then one final worth 35% of your grade. Take through organized notes and do not miss class, she literally gives a few midterm problems. I personally signed up for a study session for this class which did help fill in the gaps in her lectures/my math knowledge. Also the grade on Poly Learn is NOT your actual grade, you have to calculate it yourself. I was not aware of this till I sat down for the final. Saba also has a great sense of humor and will give you shit and joke around with you. She's a very cool gal and would highly recommend her. If I can somehow manage to get a C in Pre Calc with Saba with my limited Algebra 2 skills from my sophomore year of High School, you have no excuse.

Presents material clearly and concisely. She recognizes students' needs and workload very well, and she makes sure students understand the material.

Saba is probably the best math teacher ive ever had. The course material is not too difficult, and if you ask a question she does her best to help you understand. I loved her personality and outlook on everything. Her tests were straightforward and she gives a lot of partial credit. Awesome teacher

Saba is honestly the best math teacher I've ever had. I would take any math class as long as she is the one teaching it. She is very patient and has multiple ways of explaining how to solve a problem so that she can find the explanation that makes the most sense to you. Her teaching methods are great and she is very clear as to what she wants from the class. She is also very sweet and adorable and was always in a good mood. Her class was a pleasure to go to every day and I would gladly take this class with her again.

Saba is the best math teacher I've ever had. Her midterms a little bit hard (the second one is harder) so study a lot for those. If you ask her a question, even if it's during a midterm or final, she'll basically give you the answer by pointing out where you messed up. She's really fair with grading and will basically do the homework for you during office hours. I hated math until I had her as my teacher. SABA IS THE BEST.

Saba is an amazing teacher. She cares a lot about the students. She will make sure all her students understand all the concepts by repeating the stuff again and again until all of us get it. She sets her own notes and she knows what she is doing. There is 15% homework grade, which I believe most of the professors do not give any credits to students who do the homework. There is a quiz every week to make sure we are all on track. She values a lot in the communication with students. Take her if you can!

Saba is not compassionate and hardly understanding of student difficulties, I don't think she chose the right profession as I think she is clearly incapable to teach even the lowest level of math. I had to learn everything from the workshop or from tutors. Definitely would not recommend this teacher aside from the fact that her midterms are stupidly easy but don't let them deceive you because the final is 10x harder than you would expect.

I took Calc 2 my Winter Quarter of Freshman year with Fan Yang, and I got a D+. I took it the next quarter with Saba, and got an A. The way she teaches Calc makes is super easy for any student to understand, regardless of prior knowledge of Calc. She writes her own notes and teaches from it, which is much easier than the textbook. She also starts off with derivatives instead of jumping straight into integrals, which helps us get adjusted to the pace of the class with a familiar topic before going into the hard stuff. Quiz every week that is usually similar to the homework. Midterms were fair, and the final was a bit hard, but nothing too hard. Overall, she was the best Calc professor I've ever had, and maybe the best professor in general. Sad that she's leaving for Grad school :(

Saba is a great teacher. She comes to class everyday with a smile on her face (also she's hilarious) and she 100% knows what she's taking about. If you don't understand something she can explain it in multiple ways. Only thing I didn't like about her class was that she didn't give enough examples for types of problems you would end up seeing hundreds of on the homework. Other than that, the midterms were fair, the quizzes were fair, and she wasn't condescending like some math teachers can be. She cheered you on and got just as happy about you finally answering a problem right as you will. She's the best teacher you could have.

I absolutely love Saba - both as a professor and a person. I took Calculus in high school and this was a watered down version of it. Saba is incredibly helpful, funny, and genuinely cares about everyone individually. She's most helpful in her office hours only because the class material can be presented quite fast. If you don't understand something during her lecture, GO TO OFFICE HOURS. She's incredibly helpful and will sometimes give you hints to what is on her quizzes. Her quizzes are pretty easy -- keep on practicing the problems and you'll be fine. She does curve the class. Without any prior calculus experience, I can see this being a relatively easy B. Take Saba - she's the best.

I got a bad grade just because I am absolutely terrible at calculus, had no prior calculus experience and didn't try extremely hard, but Saba is AMAZING. She's an amazing teacher, I can't remember the last time I had a professor who was able to explain concepts in so many different ways so everyone could understand. I had her for her first quarter teaching ever, and she blew me away. She's so kind and she's so funny. She genuinely cares about her students. 10/10 would recommend.
