Finnegan, Kenneth  

First of all, I'm not an EE. My buddies and I used to joke around how EE really stood for Easy Engineering. V=I*R? Easy. P=I*V? Easy. Kenneth Finnegan made me realize just how challenging and interesting electronics can be. He lives and breathes EE, and quite frankly, his breath doesn't stink. I'll give him that. That's called being courteous to your students. I know what the EE grad lab looks like, and I don't want anyone carrying that stench outside of it. Thanks for being courteous. Really, I could go on, but I'll just end this review with one more thing I liked about Kenneth Finnegan's section. Punctuality.

Kenneth's the man. Went over prelabs at the beginning of lab and got going on lab right after. Very helpful if you're not understanding concepts or if you just need help getting your gizmos to work. Hes got his EE down, has a sweet blog, and is easy to talk to. He's always got some side project going on he'll talk to you about

A+ teacher; would take again. Kenneth Finnegan, if you're reading this, I hope you don't take that literally. I don't want to retake the 361...

Kenneth Finnegan, what's there to say about him? This instructor is knowledgeable, witty, practical, and best of all, punctual. Maybe you think that string of adjectives is funny. Maybe you think it’s sarcastic. Well, it's not. Let me make clear that it's not funny when the professor is late for class, once again, because he was finding a parking space. You're not going to get any of that nonsense from Mr. Finnegan. Plus, I'm certain he's a pedestrian commuter. However, let's not lose track of what's important. This person knows his lab equipment. This person knows how all of those little experiments you do every week relate to real life applications. With a different professor, I might have thought each experiment was just another way to get smoke blown into my exhaust. This person taught us how to work the VNA, the oscilloscope, the signal generator, you name it. Hell, this person even spotted all of the hosed SMA jumpers that some other professor tried to pass of as working. Not only is he punctual, he won’t waste your time. What a champ. I don’t suck up to anybody, not even Kenneth Finnegan, but I’ll tell things like they went down. Some might still call me an ignorant never do well. That’s for you to judge. But I know I left the EE 375 lab final as a less ignorant man than I was ten weeks ago. Kenneth Finnegan. Learn from him.

Missed the first day, went to the second day. Went to the midterm. Went to the Final. Three days of class total. I got a B, easy. This kind of shit gives our school a bad name.
