If i went to class and did my hw, i would have gotten a sure A. I just took this class for granted. Mr Battersby is a hella good teacher. a couple days before the final, he called me up to tell me that I needed an 80 on the final to get a C. This shows that he really cares about his students

This guy was really cool, and I got one of the only A's I've earned in the past 4 quarters from this class. Everything we did was simple and as long as you do the homework assignments on time they aren't too bad. IT was really interesting and I had a lot of fun. He also tells you what exactly is on the final so there's no surprises and as long as you write down what he says you can just make a study guide from it and study that. I definitely reccommend taking this class!

Mr. Battersby is such a great teacher. I would recommend him for any class at Cal Poly. The person that said REC 100 was hard just did not try at all because it was a very easy class to take.

Battersby's rec 100 class is weak sauce. I thought it was gunna be super easy so I took it. The lectures are about things that are 100 percent common sense. We spent like 2 lectures on gang violence and we learned things such as they are violent and use drugs and live in big cities, sweet, real informative class. Battersby is a good guy, and the class is cake, but in easy classes I dont really take them seriously and it came back to haunt me. If you are like me, be careful. Oh yeah, go to every recesitation. Your grade depends on it. LONX

Professor Battersby did a wonderful teaching this class. The midterm and final weren't too hard and he gives you the basic idea of the both of the tests a few days before the exams. The class projects are easy and very duable. I recommend Mr. Battersby and this class.

Battersby is a great instructor, and really fun. Some stuff is kinda pointless, but I mean it is really hard to get less than a B in the class. You have a few independant assignments and a few group... a midterm and a final, but other than that.... it is presentations (food involved), and the only thing is it seemed more like a cultural exposure to the world and society than it was regarding Leisure studies.

Battersby's class is easy. He's a crappy teacher, but tries. His lectures can be offensive and one sided. He doesn't know the difference between black people and African Americans, nor did he know the correct term for the orientation of LGBT people. He's seriously lacking and even though he wants everyone to get A's, he's doing students an injustice!

I had Mr. Battersby for MGT 314 (Human Resources Management) and found him to be very knowledgeable in his subject because of his past experience in the HR field. Excellent teacher.

Professor Battersby is an adequate teacher, but a great guy. While most people pass his name around as an "instant A" you still learn stuff in his class. One of the most personable people I've met at Cal Poly. I told everyone I knew to take his class. Not only did I get an A in this class, but also when I took him for Bus 387 and Bus 385. He has an excellent grasp of what's going on in the business world right now, not 30 years ago when he was in college. He tells you EVERYTHING that will be on the midterms and final and he doesn't deviate from it come test time. Take him for a class!

Battersby is a really good guy. His class was pretty entertaining. In 384 we did have a group project, but it was not too bad. He tells you exactly what will be on the test the lecture before. Attendance was mandatory, but make sure you make the meeting before the exam.

He loves teaching!! the class was like a fake business and he was the CEO. It was an easy class, you dont need to read, and he tells you the exact questions to the midterm and tests before it, just learn the answers to those and you'll get an a or b. He gave a week off from class and you get out early the last half of the quorter. Hes awsome!

At first I really did like Professor Battersby. He was very approachable during office hours. I just thought his lectures were disorganized and it was hard to read the tiny print on the overheads that he used. The class is all about change and how to adapt, yet he still doesn't use PowerPoint so everybody can read it! After our group got our grade for our second paper we were a little upset so we went to him and he was very unwilling to let us bring up our grade. We used all the techniques taught to us in class, but he did not budge. Make sure you take good notes during class, read the syllabus, and stay on top of the reading!

Battersby seems a little wierd at first, but he kind of grows on you. There is quite a bit of work for this class, but I learned alot. There is a lot of info to learn on the tests, but he tells you exactly what to study.
