Talk about teaching for the test--I was looking forward to an interesting lecture but instead got cramps from writing so many notes. To her credit, she is a new at lecturing but she seems to be "flexing" her authoritative muscle, for example, telling the class to put away books, notes and make sure to zip up the backpacks before the test. Aren't we in college? To me she was a bit too militant--no flexibility. And, she covered so much information but didn't take the time to give too many real life examples to help us learn the information--that was not fun. I was told to take Don Ryujin's class and wished I did.

She's obviously new, but she's trying hard and means well. After everyone bombed the first test she curved it, changed values on things, threw out questions to help our grades, and started giving us study guides. Book was useless. Tests are straight from the lectures. DO THE STUDY GUIDES. She dropped our lowest test score. Don't worry too much about the paper--I got a B with medium effort and got a B in the class!

She was a phenomenal professor. She is not only incredibly knowledgeable on the subject matter, but she is also very accommodating. Initially the course consisted of 3 exams and a final paper, and she did not provide study guides for the exams. By the end of the quarter she had added one more exam (so that there was less material on each), she prepared study guides and she dropped our lowest exam score. Also she is kind of adorable. I'd recommend her to anyone who is looking for a straight forward, fair class. You do the reading, attend lectures and study for exams and you will get an A.
