French, Christine  

Professor French is the most wonderful math teacher I've ever had. She makes all of the material clear and prepares you well for her exams. If you hate math or find it difficult this is the class to take. She goes through every single step in problems; she won't assume you remember everything from highschool and never short-cuts a process. If you need an excellent pre-calc professor take French!

Mrs. French is probably the most enthusiastic, sweet, and informative math teacher at Cal Poly. Not only is the the nicest professor I have had the pleasure of knowing, she was also an amazing and inspiring teacher. Most people, including myself weren't exactly thrilled to have to take pre-calc in college, especially because many people have already taken a similar course in high school, but Mrs. French turned a reluctantly taken class into an enjoyable, relatively easy experience. Even though I had her for a dreaded Friday class, she always had the quizzes on Thursdays because she knew that no one actually wanted to show up for class on a Friday and she was completely cool with it. Take Mrs. French. you won't regret it.

Professor French was a great instructor, as previously noted. She presents information in an enthusiastic and mostly clear way. The tests are reasonable, and cover material that she covers in class as well as homework problems. The final was pretty long and took most of the three hours for me to finish, but if you study all of the material you have gone over, at least generally well, you should not have too many problems with it. The other two tests are reasonable in length, just about an hour, and are not too difficult if you study notes and review your homework/quizzes. Great professor and a great way to learn or refresh your math skills, I had not taken a math class since high school in 2006, and did not have too many problems learning the material thanks to professor French.

TAKE HER!! SHE IS FUNNY AND KNOWS HOW TO CONVEY THE MATERIAL WELL TO THE CLASS. GREAT TEACHER!

Mrs. French is so nice, and really funny. I'm awful at math and tend to fall behind, but i went to her office hours and found them extremely helpful!

I learned that if I were to take up hunting, I should shoot deer, not bears, because a bear will hunt me back if I successfully wound it. Fascinating! I didnt know that the key to production and operations management was so brutally simple!
