Easton, Robert  

He is absolutely great! One of the most helpful people I know. He has weekly quizzes, doesn't collect homework (but has no problem taking up class time to go over it), and is extremely helpful if you are stumbling. He is young and new so he has this energy about him that shows he loves what he does. He presents the material in a fashion that is very easy to comprehend and is very flexible with office hours so don't be afraid to talk to him. I will be looking for his name for each calculus class I take after this!

This guy give a liter of content and a gallon of insight. He's no Van Lingen, but like Kaul, he's a f**kin' man-child.

He is definitely one of my favorite math teachers. He is funny and it's pretty easy to get a good grade in the class as long as you try &at the same time you learn a lot.

Easton is amazing! i had him for his first quarter at cal poly, and he was always so enthusiastic! he seemed happy all the time, and i had him for 9AM. he doesn't collect hw, but would always start class by asking if we had problems with any of the hw problems he assigns. i really like him because he asked us what the best time was for him to have office hours with the time that he was free. I took calc 1 with no prior experience and didn't do homework but managed to get a C. Overall, he did a fantastic job for his first quarter

Easton is new, but he really made coming into calculus at college a much easier experience. I have never taken calc or precalc, so already I felt behind going into Calc I. He is the nicest professor I have ever met, totally personable, doesn't have the "doctor" chip on his shoulder, and really knows the material. He has optional homework, which I rarely did (explaining my B grade in his class). Weekly quizzes happen on friday, and are structured much like the homework questions. These quizzes are very straightforward and not meant to trick you or confuse you. Two midterms and a final compose the majority of your grade, and just like the quizzes they are very straightforward, not tricky or confusing in any way. Go in for his office hours if you have any questions, he was usually free for one on one help whenever I went in and was enormously helpful. If you ever have the option of taking his math class, I suggest you do so.

Easton is one of the best math teachers out there!! He covers the content clearly and his midterms and quizzes aren't too difficult as long as you do the homework. Fair grader and he even brings his class food during midterms. Highly recommend!!!!

Great instructor ever! Here is his teaching system for Fall 2016: 1. You will have approximately 35-40 homework problems each week; problems are on the textbook, he usually posts the assignment on his homework website. Homework is due weekly on Friday. 2. He does check homework! He chooses 5 problems randomly from your homework to evaluate. Each homework is worth 10 points, so each problem he checks is worth 2 points. 3. Quiz is on every Friday, be prepared! Problems on the quiz is based on the past week studying and are always worth 10 points. Quiz won't be hard if you study your notes and homework problems and understand them thoroughly before the quiz. And he usually post quiz solutions on his website. 4. His class is fast-pased so it's really not worth it to miss out a class. If you do miss out his class, go to his office hours! He is a great teacher and I think he can help you a lot!

This dude is literally the best professor I have ever had. I was super nervous about taking calc in college, but after the first class I knew there was nothing to worry about. He presents the material in a very clear and calm manner. I am going to try to get him for every calc class I take from now on.

Professor Easton is a very knowledgeable person. He definitely knows calculus very well. However, because I took a calc 1 class never have taking calc in high school, it was much more difficult. He assumes that everyone has taken calc before, so he doesn't explain the rudimentary theories very well. Despite being confused much of the time, I only got an A because I went to office hours. He is MUCH more helpful in office hours than in class. Take your homework questions into office hours before the weekly quiz, and it is much easier. Overall, he is a fair teacher and does want his students to succeed. He just is a young prof still so he isn't the best at teaching in class.

Professor Easton is a great option for math 141. he grades based on homework, Weekly Quizzes, 2 Midterms, and a final. He's incredibly accommodating and will let you take the quizzes later if you are sick or have any sort of issue getting to class. the midterms are easy if you understand the material which shouldn't be too difficult seeing as he presents the material in a very understandable way. the only shitty part about his class is that the grader is very harsh on homework. you need to have all the problems completed and correct to get full credit. i didn't study at a for the final which brought my grade from a high B to C so you definitely have to study. I would definitely recommend Rob.

Take him. Aside from being such a sweet man, Easton explains calc really clearly and gives you confidence. I have never taken calculus before college, and he made it simple while explaining content that was very complex

Easton is so passionate about teaching and math it is contagious. I am awful at math and knew I'd do terribly in calculus but Easton as a person made it bearable. He genuinely cares about his students and made every possible effort to give as many points as he could.

Professor Easton is a super kind guy and a wonderful professor. Math is not my strong suit, but he was incredibly approachable and made himself very accessible throughout the quarter. He is a funny, young, wholesome dude who actually cares about his students. Take his class!

I don't usually write reviews, but Rob is awesome. If you are deciding between him and another highly rated math professors, go with Rob. Not only is he a good teacher, but he is nice, fair, and always keeps the classroom lively with jokes. He isn't your typical awkward math professor at Poly, he's actually a normal person (crazy!). He is so helpful in office hours and accommodating if you need to meet with him another time. He doesn't throw huge curve balls on the tests. If you do the homework and make sure you understand it, you will be fine. He tends to give hints about the tests and quizzes during office hours. Do not be afraid to go to office hours, even with just a small question. Also, he brings 50 bags of candy on review day before midterms and the final! A reason in itself to take his class.

robert easton ROBBED my heart. . .hes an amazing, handsome, smart, nerdy, hot, attractive professor that dedicates a lot of his time to his students. his notes are very clear, decent amount of homework, his quizzes are easy and his test are okay. his office hours are very helpful. i went to his office hours almost everyday when i had his class, now even though hes not my professor i still go and he still helps me! he makes me understand the material with his super powers! if you want to learn and love math take easton! his smile will melt your heart and your brain will suddenly love math and easton lol hoping to become mrs.Easton ;)

First of all, I would like to say that I only received a C because I rarely did the homework and skipped a few classes. If you actually do homework and go to class, you should be able to do well in his class without a problem. Professor Easton is a very fun and knowledgeable professor. He is one of the few people I know that can write very fast, yet very legibly. By doing so, he is able to do many examples and cover a substantial amount of material in class. He is probably the only instructor I know that uses the word "weirdo" and makes sad faces with the dots of two question marks as as eyes, which makes his lectures more entertaining. Despite having his class at 8 in the morning for four days a week, I've never fallen asleep in this class. That definitely says something. Did I mention that he brings snacks such as donuts, cookies for our review days before tests? If you're still having any second thoughts about whether to take him or not, let me tell you one last thing: he offers a "pass the final, pass the class" deal. Take him. You won't regret it.

WOW professor Easton was easily the best math teacher i have ever had! There really are no negatives to the class other than the subject (if you aren't good at math) but Rob is really helpful if you are having any struggles. Pros: -Excellent at conveying material and articulating complicated concepts, clear chalkboard writing which makes notes easier -Very approachable and super nice (always brought in donuts for review days) -Super helpful at office hours, I went about once a week to review the material covered during the week. He'll give you hints and tell you what you need to know for the quizzes and tests if you ask -Weekly quizzes which keep you sharp for the midterm/final -No homework collected/graded (but you still need to do it if you want to do well in his class) His tests are definitely not easy but are fair, he doesn't try to make your life hell and tells you when you don't need to know something for the test which makes studying easier. Take good notes, do the homework and visit his office every so often and there's no way you can't get at least a B

Professor Easton was seriously one of the best math professors I have ever had. He's a great lecturer (draws super neat and has many examples) as well as very helpful and friendly in office hours. One of the things I hate about office hours is that if I'm the only one there, the professor just sits there and stares at me while I'm doing a problem and that makes me really nervous so I just rush through the whole thing. Easton, however, makes you feel comfortable and he just does his own thing and asks you if you need help periodically if you're working, and when you're actually done, he drops everything and helps you. You also can't possibly fail his class because if you pass the final, you automatically pass the class. Quizzes and midterms are SUPER easy as long as you do the OPTIONAL homework (that means no homework! haha)and they are EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE 'MOCK' ONES IF YOU TAKE THE WORKSHOP (that is if your workshop leader was as nice as mine and just changed the numbers. i probably only missed 7 points total out of all the quizzes, midterms, and final because of this). He is also a super lenient grader and gives out partial credit left and right. He brings in snacks before midterms (big plus in college)!!!! In conclusion, I totally recommend Easton! You will not regret it! Super nice as a teacher and grader! GET EASTON!

Easton is a very good calculus teacher; he is quite possibly the best I have ever had. His notes are thorough but not too long, his midterms were easy and his final was challenging albeit do-able. Great professor overall. Don't miss his review days for the world!

If you take don't choose to take Easton because of his awesome Polyratings and incredible teaching, AT LEAST take his class so you can stare at him an hour a day, four days a week. Go to office hours too. My eyes are drooling in reminiscence as I type this. Hottest professor alive, and among the best at teaching as well.

If you have the choice, take Easton! He gives weekly quizzes and 2 homework problems that he grades but are actually very useful to stay on track. Midterms are definitely doable and there's partial credit for days. Bonus is that he's easy on the eyes and says cute phrases like "dinky."

Take Easton!!! He's seriously the best. Calculus 2 was pretty difficult but Easton makes it wayyyy easier to understand. I was lucky enough to catch a spot in his Calc 3 class next quarter and I'm stoked!

Take Easton! He has super neat handwriting and uses a lot of colors so his notes on the board are very easy to follow and he presents the material in a very clear fashion. I only did about 40% of the homework (which is optional) and still got an A because I did well on the quizzes and tests. He also drops your lowest quiz grade and makes your exams count for different percentages depending on which ones you do best on. I would really recommend doing the workshop for his class if it works in your schedule, because he gives his workshop leaders major hints for exams that he doesn't give in class, so I felt much more prepared going into exams.

Amazing guy super enthusiastic and focused on LEARNING not teaching. Great in office hours and makes sure that we get the key points of the class not the complex details. He has quizzes most Fridays that weren't hard but helpful. The midterms weren't a winch but not out of this world hard. And he adjusts the final so that if you pass you pass the course and if you do well it becomes worth more the better you did. Highly recomend and will always look for his name first for any future math classes.

Very good professor and he is very helpful in office hours. Also he doesn't put abstract topics on his tests and basically outlines what is going to be on his tests the class before. Also no homework!

I absolutely adored Professor Easton! He is definitely my favorite math professor ever and in the top five of favorite educators. He presents the material clearly and concisely and tells you exactly what he expects of you, what you need to know and what you'll be tested on. He assigns a fair bit of homework (which is never turned in (but do it if you want to learn the material)). He is funny and really makes the lectures interesting and the time just flash by. It's only his second quarter at Poly, so I am astonished about how amazing he is already. He can only get better with time. I completely and absolutely recommend taking him.

I've had a lot of great calculus teachers, but Robert Easton is by far the best I've ever had. His lectures are well organized, and he explains all of the concepts very well at an appropriate pace. He doesn't collect homework, but you are strongly advised to keep up so you can do well on the quizzes and tests. He is a fair grader and gives out appropriate partial credit when it's due. As for the difficulty of the class, the test problems for the most part are fairly basic, and if you can do all of the homework problems without looking at the solutions, most of the test problems will seem easy. He doesn't throw any major curveballs designed to trick you; in fact, before each midterm and the final, he takes the time to review exactly which concepts will be emphasized, and he will even go as far as to flat out tell you what you don't need to study for the tests. In addition, if a problem involves a very complicated solution or integral (such as arc length), all he asks is that you write out the required integral, and he specifically tells you not to simplify. I've heard many students complain about calculus 3 being the hardest and most frustrating math class they've had to take, but Easton makes the subject very approachable. Though he covers the subject in great depth, he's lighthearted and energetic which made the class a lot of fun as well. He's honestly the only professor I've had where I couldn't think of a single bad thing about his class or style of teaching. If you're passionate about math and want to learn as much as possible, this class is for you. Conversely, if you just want to scrape by or just hate math, his tests aren't overly demanding and if you get at least a C on the final, he will give you at least a C in the class, no matter how poorly you've done on the rest of the midterms. Easton is the best professor I've had at Poly thus far! He is extremely fair grader and gives tons of partial credit! He does lots of great examples and will answer any questions you might have. Besides being a great professor, he's also just a great human being! He'd always bring us snacks on review day and is just an overall cool and understand person.

Dr. Easton is a great teacher that explains everything very well. His quizzes and midterms are fair so as long as you stay up to date with the material and understand what you are doing in class, you should be able to get a B easily.

Honestly, Easton is a very nice and chill guy - but I didn't teach he was the best at teaching. I personally found his tests very difficult, and his final was so hard. He lectures a lot, and it is just like reading the textbook. Nice guy, even gives out extra credit - just isn't the best at teaching... and calc III is already difficult - he doesn't make it that much easier.

Dr. Easton gives you all the resources you need to succeed. He has quizzes every friday which are similar to the difficult homework questions. He tells you all the concepts you need to know the day before each midterm so you don't waste time studying the wrong stuff. Go to his office hours! He is so nice and will answer any questions you have. This class can be hard but Easton definitely makes it possible to get an A

The best math teacher I have taken at Cal Poly by far!! Rob's lectures are extremely clear. Although the material is sometimes very dry, Rob makes up for it with his quirky and positive personality. Quiz problems are almost identical to those in lecture, and test problems are basically reworked homework problems. If you choose not to do any of the homework (it's not required) like I did, make sure you do and understand every review problem he gives you for the tests and you will do fine (I got a B). Great class, no extra fluff, straight to the point, learned a lot. Amazing teacher!!

By far my most favorite professor at poly. He's the youngest associative professor in the math department but he knows his shit. Really quirky and entertaining and gets down to the point when teaching and tells you exactly what you should study before midterms and whatnot. He's also really approachable and helpful in office hours. And he's hot, just had to throw that in there hahahaha. Take him if you can! I learned a lot from this class and I definitely hope to take him again in the future. OH and for the general run through for his class, well at least for the quarter I took him.. it's basicaly 20%quizzes (which are weekly), no homework, 2 midterms that are 25%each, and the final is 35%. He doesn't replace any scores but if you do better on your final than your midterms, he puts more weight on your final exam score. he basically tries to get you the highest grade possible that you deserve.

I had Easton for 7am Linear Algebra and he always came in happy, prepared to teach, and made you feel energized to learn some math that early--which is hard to do. He was very understanding that it was rough to get up that early, so if you were late he would just welcome you and continue teaching. It's unfortunate that his lectures are only an hour long, I feel like he could better explain this topic if he had more time. However, under the given circumstances, he did a great job explaining what he could in class and would go over whatever questions you had in office hours very thoroughly until you understood. Highly recommend him as a professor. Good spirits, young and relatable, and loves what he does.

Easton is the best professor I have ever had! He is so clear about the material and is so willing to help. He also brings snacks on review days before exams. He's also pretty attractive ;) and makes the lamest jokes, but it's freakin' adorable. I had him for a 7 am and he made it worth it to wake up early in the morning. He was so energized bright and early in the morning too which helps you stay awake and pay attention. Take him for sure!

Cons: First midterm was exponentially harder than the preceding quizzes and homework. On tests he adds in overly complex exponents and equations that makes the problems unrecognizable. Pros: No homework due, very nice guy, very clear lecturer. Overall: Don't take him for MATH 241 (Multivariable Calculus). I presume he is a better teacher for easier math classes.

I and Rob for calculus one and four, and he is without a doubt the best math teacher I have ever had. His lectures are clear and entertaining, he let's you leave early on quiz days, and he has the best review days of any class I've ever had. During his review he will give you a concise recap of literally everything that you need to know for the test, and if you ask him if a specific type of problem will be on the test he will almost always tell you the EXACT problem on the test. I wish Rob taught all of my classes. Also a boss at croquet.

Easton = sooooo good. He be funny. He be smart. He be everything I want in a man. I swear this guy could fart rainbows. Seriously, though, he is an excellent educator with impeccable understanding of students' issues.

"Robbie" is the best caclulus teacher I have ever had. Even though I was mediocre at best, he always answered my questions and increased my understanding of Calc. I hated Green's Theorem, but staring at Easton made showing up for that lecture worthwhile. Take him!

I feel like I'm the only person that didn't like Easton's teaching style. He has a PhD from Stanford and obviously knows what he's doing, but his lectures feel like I'm reading the textbook. The board always has too many letters and not enough numbers for me. Sure, at this level of math, letters are inevitable, but his lecture really just seems like he's writing his own textbook on the board. Everyone loved him, and I too thought he was a great guy, but his teaching style just isn't for me. A lot of people attend his office hours which decreases their effectiveness, but he holds extra hours during dead week which helps. Quizzes and exams are totally reasonable and he always gives a TON of partial credit. I highly recommend him even though he wasn't right for me because he'll probably be right for you.

Prof Easton is super easy and helpful. Just do all the homework and you'll ace the midterms and finals. The quizzes are based on the 5 questions you turn in for every assignment. Literally my lowest grade was homework only because I didn't check my answers or work. You cover a lot in lecture. But he makes everything relatable and easy to understand.

Best and second best teacher I've had. He's the best as a person / socially, but 2nd best with regards to teaching IMO. He's great at teaching, but his style just wasn't for me. He does more examples rather than theory, and I found out I learn math better with the latter. The amount he writes on the board is also quite a bit and the class was rather fast for me. I was filling like 4 pages per class, compared to 2 per class in Calc 2 / 3 with a different professor. He does get you to know what you need to know though. And he pretty much tells you what's going to be on the mid-terms and final. He's great with office hours and email. Always responds by 8AM the next day if you send it in late at night (like midnight).

So chill. Class was pretty easy if you did all the homework and paid attention during lecture.

I love Robert Easton! He is a great professor who holds students accountable for understanding the material while being supportive of their individual learning style. I prefer this style of teaching to some of the math teachers who never lecture as a rule of thumb. i.e. they refuse to lecture and force students to learn everything by themselves (or in groups). I feel like I am doing better at math after having a teacher who will help walk me through it.

Had him for 3 quarters and it was amazing. He made the Calc series a breeze. Tests are very fair, the exact same format as all his quizzes. Every week there is 5 homework questions due and a quiz either on Tuesday or Friday.

Easton has a naturally ability to explain concepts simply yet clearly. His lectures were always understandable, and I appreciated his efforts to always include an abundance of varied examples. His quizzes and exams were always fair and reasonable and his time management from class to class and throughout the quarter is impeccable. He writes and speaks rather quickly, which meant it was somewhat difficult to fully ingest everything during the class period. I found what worked for me was a sort of double-pass through the material: lectures and then homework. Though the homework is not required and never collected, I definitely recommend doing it because the practice really helped. I absolutely loved Easton's class. He was always warm and friendly, and I appreciated his efforts to learn everyone's names. He kept the class comfortable and focused. I would take any of his courses in a heartbeat. 10/10 recommend.

Easton is the best professor I've had so far. He is very clear and easy to understand. He really knows how to break down complicated ideas into manageable sections. Though his grading isn't strict, his exams are far from easy. Even so, the class had extremely high score averages. Easton just teaches that well.

I went into calc 4 with uneasiness and fearing multivariable calc but Robert Easton made this class one of my favorites that I ever took. He lectures calc concepts in different but simpler ways than other professors and is willing to go the extra mile if a student is still confused. Most of the classes start with a review of the previous day, some theory, an idea, and then lots of examples. Also Easton is understanding of student needs such as days to review before quizzes, changing final days, and emailing back in record time. The class is made up of weekly quizzes, 2 midterms, and a final that are weighted depending on how you did on them. Last but not least, Easton felt less like a professor but more of a cool friend through his humor and willingness to get to know everyone. If you have the option, 100% take Easton! Best decision I ever made at Cal Poly!

I may have gotten an F but Dr. Easton still gets an A as a professor. I don't usually write reviews, and if I do it is generally to warn people. I would 100% take ANY math class with Easton again. He is a wonderful professor who keeps the subject interesting (as much as humanly possible), and cares deeply about whether or not his students learn. The only reason I failed this class is because I am an idiot who can't figure out math. My failures had nothing to do with Easton's teaching and all to do with the fact that I didn't take enough advantage of his office hours nor did I study enough. Easton is the man so you should definitely jump at the opportunity to take a class with him.

-- From Course Evaluation Spring 2017 -- || Dr. Easton is a really nice guy and a skilled professor to boot. He was always jovial in class, and his examples illustrated the lesson to be learned well. His use of multiple chalk colors was great for emphasizing points or delving into details while explicitly showing that material wasn't necessarily critical knowledge. His office hours were phenomenal.Lots of people show up even if they don't need immediate help, since if someone asks a question on a topic they were unsure about, they could be sure he would re-explain the topic in full, and do several examples on his black board. It was essentially a mini-lecture given on a particular topic, just without the classroom. He does go very fast. I understand this, since Linear Analysis is a course packed with material from two classes, but it made it difficult to keep up with him sometimes. Overall, Having re-taken this class after taking it with a worse professor, I can say with full confidence Dr. Easton is one of the best instructors I've had.

Professor Easton is an excellent math instructor (who likes Red Koolaid too much) and I would highly recommend taking him for any course. He presents the material clearly in his lectures and gives study guides for major exams, so I would highly suggest going to every lecture and doing the optional homework (the quizzes are based directly on the homework with similar style questions). He will answer any questions you have in class or right after lecture if you are confused on anything. He set up the class where about each week (there were 7 quizzes total for my class) we would have a short in-class quiz (1-3 questions) based on homework/lecture and then two midterms and a final. If you did better on the final than either or both or your midterms the final would increase in value and the midterm score would decrease in value. I think the most important thing about this class would be really understanding the homework. DO IT ALL, and you will do well. Also you definitely need the textbook (if you want to do the homework, that is).

Grade determined by HW, quizzes, two midterms and a final. Final score weighting depends on how it compares to quizzes and midterms scores (i.e., if you do better on the final than on those, doing well on the final can really boost your grade) Homework load wasn't too bad. Weekly assignments, with only part of them graded. Exams were pretty fair. Challenging, but not too challenging. I retook this class after failing it with Richert. What I learned in these two experiences is that it really helps to clear up confusion ASAP else you will fall super-far behind and feel miserable when things are flying over your head during subsequent lectures and trying to study for exams.

Easton is a great teacher, but be prepared to work really hard! If you're looking for an easy "A" don't take Easton! If you're looking to gain a lot of knowledge about math and you want to be challenged, then take Easton!

He is the newest math professor so I wanted to leave this evaluation before the quarter is over because this guy is awesome. He doesn't collect HW and has weekly quizes, but it works out ok. I hate tests and I have a 100 percent in this class. He is very helpful in office hours and very approachable. I think hes funny, so class is entertaining. Great professor. i think he will become one of the best math professors.

I do not think that he is the best teacher but he does make every class enjoyable. He is regularly telling jokes that entertain the class, but the way he presents material is sometimes confusing. I love the class but I am confused in it more often than not. He gives homework that is much harder than the quizzes (once a week) and the midterms (two per quarter). The homework is never collected, so if you have trouble on a problem or two it is not a big deal. The proofs he does in class tend to be very informal and hard to understand. Overall, he is a great person, but he is not a great teacher yet.

This was his first quarter at Cal Poly and I think he did a great job. The lecture was sometimes a little fast and some of the material was not on the exams, (basically all the proofs) so the class was more computational than proof based. He does keep the lecture very entertaining and I love the history of Math that he gives as background info, and he is funny and I enjoyed going to class every time. Seems like he is still getting the rough edges polished up with teaching, but all-in-all it was a much better experience than I would expect from someone's first quarter at Poly. Take Easton if you have the chance and you will not regret it.

To describe this class in one word: pleasant. This class did not stress me out and class was thuroughly enjoyable. This being his first quarter the proff taught largely with textbook examples but was relaxed and humerous which helped the class atmosphere significantly. To put the icing on the cake my classmates were funny and nice. Practice midterms and finals were hugely helpful. The homework is not mandatory and neither is attendence. Even though I am not usually a fan of going to class, I attended most days and was even on time sometimes.

Rob is solid. He's one of those math teachers that, the moment he starts talking, you know he's incredibly smart, yet he's not a pretentious dick about it, nor is he socially awkward and unable to convey concepts. Down to earth, good lecturer, fair tests...take him every chance that you can.

Easton was an amazing professor. I absolutely hate theoretical math but he made it fun and interesting, not to mention he was the most understanding I've had in the math department. Take Easton if you can, you will not regret it.

Easton is fantastic. By far the best teacher I've had here. Super friendly, super smart, basically everything you want in a professor.

Easton is the best math professor I had at Cal Poly. He is very understanding, nice, and overall cares about his students. He really simplifies the materials for students to understand which I genuinely appreciate since the class did get theoretical here and there. If you have the chance to take Easton and you don't, you're really screwing yourself over. There is a reason why students consider Easton as one of the best (easily top 3) math professors here.

Professor Easton was great. The class was straightforward and Easton's a super nice guy and very open to questions or explaining things in more detail. Weekly quizzes weren't that bad / no surprises if you did the homework, and the two midterms were pretty much like the quizzes. You don't even have to do all of the hw – you can skip some of the more complex / challenging problems – since the assessments focus on practical understanding of the material. Overall I was very pleased with this class.

A fantastic teacher. Very skilled at making one of the allegedly tougher subjects easier to understand without requiring a lot of unnecessary stress for the student.

What the guy/gal below said. Amen. I too took this class and have long since graduated from Poly, but I was cruising Poly Ratings for a kick and thought that I should pipe in and let you know how much of a joke this prof is.
