This professor was the worst - worst teacher I've ever had at cal poly. We requested example problems and he would do the first two steps and then forget the rest of it. And he usually found a mistake that he made after he was "done" with the problem so you never knew how to actually do the problem.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. This guy will go completely out of his way to make sure you understand the course material. Just like the other general physics courses, most students did the homework (which came from the book) by copying the material straight from the solutions manual. After the first midterm, he was not happy with this (most scores were pretty low), so instead of scolding us and telling us to do better or not mentioning it at all like the other two physics professors I\'ve had, he made up his own homework problems for us to complete. These problems were much more clear than the stupid book\'s problems. This guy is awesome in office hours too. Seriously, he really really really cares about making sure we understand the course material, even if it means a slight bit more work for him. He\'s also a pretty chill guy who is fun to joke with after class or during office hours. I can\'t stress enough how good of a professor he was. He stands out as a great professor, which is really saying something for the physics department here. Also, fun lab. Definitely better than 133\'s lab.

^ what?!! are we talking about the same professor here?!! The guy can't explain the material well enough for everyone to understand. Most of the people I know are EXTREMELY confused right now, and his "clarification" of the material only leads to the students being more and more confused. I know there much be an easier to explain the stuff because after going to another teacher's section I understood a lot more. He overcomplicates and makes the HW impossible to do! The only things I like about the class are the graded HW assignments and the simplicity of Lab. If it wasn't for those, I would probably avoid him for lecture. He is a nice guy though, and he seems to be very caring about his students.

Nice teacher but the class moves so quickly. Also the book sucks.

i definitely didn't try as hard as i could have in this class, but i still didn't like him. his lectures are insanely confusing and i usually just end up being more lost. his grading is ok, he curves the class pretty nicely but the tests are wayyyyy to hard, he likes to do things where you solve for an equation with variables and no numbers so the homework is hard to relate to his tests. i would avoid him if you can

Dr. Coroneus has confusing lectures that are basically just a lot of hand gestures and sayings like “is this fair?” and “get it?”. He pulls formulas out of thin air and assumes everyone has seen the material before. I think his brain functions faster than he can talk so he hardly explains what he is doing and just starts writing down formulas. His tests are incredibly hard and he takes pride in having a class average 60% on test. He has a very generous curve, so in reality people do pretty well. However, are you real testing the students understanding of material if most people fail the test? He collects some homework, but you get a 100% if you just turn something in. I think the best use of time in this class is to bring the book to lecture and just read. THAT BEING SAID, he is a super nice guy. He learns everyone’s name and really wants his students to succeed. He makes himself available if you need help too. Overall, the class isn’t too bad – I got a C with hardly any work.
