Professor Isaac Chang is an okay instructor for IT 137. We have a total of 5 pop quizzes, 4 midterms, and a cumulative final. His tests are moderately difficult. Make sure you know the facts of each chapter and of a circuit because that is primarily what his multiple choice is composed of. Some are trick questions so be careful. The calculations are easy if you understand the material. His lectures though are pretty boring since he uses the book's powerpoint slides. He can be confusing at times since his accent gets in the way. You have to attend class everyday because he will bring down your grade if you dont. Overall, Chang is an okay professor and probably the only professor you will never be able to avoid for IT 137 and IT 150.

He cant speak english. He will not teach you how to do problems but tell to think about it. If you want help with with a problem use your book or other students because Chang will say "you screwed"

According to other upperclassman in IT 233, It was the hardest IT class they\'ve taken. You definately have to learn a lot on your own in lab, and lectures can get very confusing. I would say that he grades more along the lines of how hard you are working, than the actualy quality of the work. So as long as you don\'t skip out on classes, you\'ll do just fine. Don\'t worry about the finals as much, they barely amount for anything, and chances are, the rest of the class will be just as clueless. Overall, he definately knows what he\'s doing, he will assign a buttload of work, and you will definately learn a lot in this class

He might seem very mean. However, he has a sense of humor in his own special way that takes time to like. I honestly didn\'t like him at first but I now enjoy him so much that I\'m taking my 2nd class with him. He really knows what he\'s talking about. He doesn\'t give you the answer that easily, instead he makes you work for it. He doesn\'t seem too approachable but he is there to help you. All you need to do is ask. Don\'t worry about your grade. You honestly get the grade you deserve. I highly recommend Chang if you want to learn.

Professor Chang doesn\'t give very good lectures, and the work load seems heavy. He gives you a lot of reading, as well as group projects and individual assignments. He doesn\'t make his expectations very clear either. I was confused the entire quarter and didn\'t feel like I was learning anything. However, he weights the tests and grades fairly easily. Also, the tests are all open book. So if you read the chapters, even briefly, and do all the homework assignments and projects, you\'ll probably be able to get an A. I didn\'t ever pay attention in class, because his lectures didn\'t help me at all. They tended to confuse me. But doing everything else worked just fine for me.

This class was not helpful in any manner. Professor chang is really nice during his office hours, but is a poor instructor in the classroom. He is confusing when presenting the material and you basically need to teach yourself. The class was a ton of work. We had 5 quizzes, 6 assignments, 6 group projects, 1 group presentation, 2 midterms and a final. His tests are open note/book and are very difficult. Make sure that you understand how to do the computer applications. He does offer some extra credit which helps your grade. I would not suggest taking Chang if it can be avoided.

Prof. Chang moves really quickly through his lectures and examples, so you really have to be paying attention to follow along. If you do, you often won\'t have to complete some homework assignments out of class because he does it for you in class, you just have to follow along. Other than that, there seemed to be a lot of group projects that were seeminly pointless. And the quizzes were due Saturday nights (he said he\'d change that) so it was hard to remember to do them on time.

Going to lecture is completely useless. Chang's way of presenting information makes no sense and if you ask questions he yells at you. The tests are open book and open note but the multiple choice questions are pretty difficult so don't expect it to be very easy. Getting an A is possible as long as you turn in all the assignments and teach yourself the computer applications of problems very well.

Fine teacher, but a little dry in the presentation. I wouldnt suggest having her at 8:00 in the morning, might be difficult staying awake.
