The teacher would have been a lot better if he would have laid down the basics in the class (the class being the basics in circuitry). Also he let one student just walk all over him during the lectures.

A great EE teacher. The material was pretty tough for some to grasp, but I feel that he covered it well. His lectures really helped you try to do the homework. He gave three quizzes which were just like the homeworks he assigned. The midterms made you think and put a couple of steps together to get the answer, but overall a really good teacher that i'd definitely recommend taking, as compared to some of the other EE professor that i've had.

For all the MEs that dread this class, Goldberg is the man to take. Makes this crap as painless as possible. Since he teaches a virtual lab (meaning its all done on the computers) there are NO pesky wires to hook up, and no chance of blowing anything up. The labs themselves are cake, take about 5 minutes to get the data. He talkes for maybe a half hour before, but if you don't pay attention in lecture (like me) then its a half hour well spent. Super laid back, I put in very little effort and got a B. If you are an uptight EE who "really wants to learn the material" then you should probably take someone else. If you just want to get it over with, take Goldberg.

Dr. Goldberg is fair and straight forward. His tests do not go beyond the scope of his lectures. His lectures are clear and he progresses at a pace reasonable for students. I would recommend taking any class he teaches.

I would recommend this Dr. Goldberg for any lab course. He is one of the most laid back EE professors I have taken. He did not collect prelabs and he went over the material clearly before starting the experiments. If most of the class needed more time for an experiment, he would give us an extra week. Grading was fair but not thorough. Best of all he understood that we hadn't been exposed to most of the lab material yet in the lecture so he was not too picky on grading of the reports.
