Joe Glass is by far one of the best instructors I ever had. The man teaches with great passion.Joe Glass really cares about the students well being. If you have to take Brae 237 or even if you don't have too take it with Joe Glass you will not regret it.

Dr. Glass is a good guy who is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about the subject. The work for the class can become very tedious at times, but as long as you do all the work and do a good job, he is fair. One word of advice for the class is that you must know the material for the quizzes; you will get those obscure questions that were just mentioned in class.

Dr. Glass is probably one of my favorite teachers! He is really enthusiastic about the subject he is teaching, (surveying in my case). He takes the time to get to know his students, even if we only see him one day a week. He explains things very well, and even tells us what not to do from experience with past students. He is a pretty enjoyable guy to listen to, as he cracks a joke here or there. Just yesterday he was explaining to me and a couple of other students about how he is disappointed with the fact that people presently don't care as much about their work as they once did. He says his point is to make his students care, so out in the real world, work is done with more quality. A great inspirational teacher. I am glad I had him as a freshman.

Dr Glass scares me. The weekly quizzes are easy then get harder and harder. He talks way too much about stuff we don't really need to know. He can talk for a good 2 hours and then let us go out into the field still clueless on what is expected to write in our field manual. I think the only thing I actually learned about in his class is how to find elevations. Not that exciting. I heard the other proffesor who taught this same class was a lot better and let them out way earlier. Take glass if you like old perverted men. And girls be aware that he will give you way extra attention and definatly creeped me out. Yuck!

Dr. Glass was an excellent teacher. It is too bad he is retired and will not be teaching any more at Cal Poly. He was very caring and wanted to personally get to know all of his students. He tried hard to learn everybody's names and he was very friendly and easy to have a good converstaion with. He wanted all of his students to succeed and understood that not all students learn the same, but wanted all students to understand the materials. Overall, I really enjoyed having him as a teacher and I am glad I was able to have him before he left for retirement.

Dr. G is by far one of the better teachers on this campus. The thing that seperates him from the rest is his continued passion for teaching even though he is near retirement. If you walk into his class with a good attitude, you will walk out with a good grade and a friend among the faculty.

Dr. Glass is a really nice guy and does care about his students. But his lectures are really hard to follow because he seems so monotounous. The quizes which are every week are very hard to sudy for because he gives no indication of what covered the past week will and will not be covered. However, if you do have a good attitude and work hard a good grade is not out of reach.

Glass is a very good teacher. Especially when you compare him to the other shmucks that try to teach. He expects a very detailed lab report every week, but he KNOWS what he talks about in class. I would recommend Dr. Glass to any student that wants to learn something. Go to lecture everyday and don't be afraid to ask questions, that's what he is there for.
