Missed the first day, went to the second day. Went to the midterm. Went to the Final. Three days of class total. I got a B, easy. This kind of shit gives our school a bad name.

Dr. Gillis is probably one of the best teachers I ever had. Very funny and extremely easy going. Completely open to answering any questions I asked, and going out of his way to find info for you. As long as you are in class taking notes, an A is totally accessable. Make sure to ask lots of questions in this class, because the more time you spend doing this, the less time he lectures.

Dr. Gillis is one of the best teachers at Poly. He's laid back and willing to help you endlessly on material you dont understand. He has a dry sense of humor, so dont be too serious about stuff. He really wants you to understand the course material, and to have a good time too. If you can get a class with him, take it.

What more can i say, Gillis is the shit! the class seemed hard at first but as we got more into it, everything got easier. he was there to help you understand it. hes a cool teacher too.

GILLIS IS AN AWESOME TEACHER.

Dr. Gillis is a very fair teacher. He gets irritated at times with student's lack of participation, but he is always willing to help. If you make any kind of effort, you will do very well in this class. Also, attendance doesn't matter, but he does sometimes give extra points for attendance. He probably gives two tests the whole quarter, and if you ask for a study guide it is often the exact questions from the test.

Gillis grades well, does not give much homework, and his test are pretty easy. However, he is not the friendlest professor you will have.

Alright...I've taken several classes from Dr. Gillis, and have done well in all of them. At first you will think he is unapproachable, but that is totally not true! He has a dry and cynical sense of humor that I find hilarious. I used to attend lecture for the entertainment value alone. You do need to attend class, take notes, and study for the exams, but hey...the guy will teach you something about dairying/processing. It's not like you have a choice anyway, as he is the only one teaching these classes, but go into it with a good attitude, and just do the work. He's really a great guy.

gillis will help you with any questions you have. he will go uot of his way to help you. if you study and go to class it is very possible to get an A. just talk to the guy

How can you NOT get an A in one Gillis' classes? He has got to be one of the easiest teachers at Poly. He curves every test! (in most cases 15-20 points!). I highly recommend taking him for a class- even it's just for an elective. As was posted in another rating- lectures are worth attending on entertainment value alone!

The guy knows the information, but he is a JERK. If you like having a professor that you can ask questions of don't take him.

Dr. Gillis was awesome. He can fly through the powerpoint and leave you trying to catch up with the notes, but he'll explain any questions you have. His tests werent too bad, all short answers (about 15 questions), but werent that easy either. It all works out though because he is an easy grader and always curves the test. Nice guy, wants his students to do well, great at explaining things, and an easy grader. I would recommend him to anyone.

Gillis is the frickin man.
