Dr. Frey's a good teacher. He gives us handouts and presents the material clearly in his powerpoint presentations. His final is extremely easy, if you study. Reading the book is more helpful with the stuff he's teaches than with what Dr. Jankay teaches. The only problem I had was with the transition from Jankay (first 2/3 of quarter) to Frey (last 1/3 of quarter). Theyir teaching styles are so different, so it takes some time to get used to the change. Frey's lectures aren't as interesting as Jankay's, but Dr. Frey definately knows his stuff and teaches it well.

Dr. Frey is a great teacher. Is is really nice and will help you with any questions you might have. He presents everything very clearly and makes the class fun. He is really knowledgable about the subject. I really wish he was teaching 153 so I could take him again. I would recommend him over any of the lab teachers.

Dr. Frey is such a nice guy and really tries hard to explain things well. He's super mellow... I've missed so many classes and he still helps me make up the work. Would take his class anyday.

Dr. Frey is awesome. Very nice man who wants to help in anyway he can. Dont let his strange eye make you uncomfortable, he is very intelligent, very patient, understanding, friendly, enthusiastic, and the potential to make him a good friend, not just a teacher, is very high. Thanks Dr. Frey! your kindness and direction was much appreciated. Everyone I know who took your class or met you has the same opinion of you as I do, you are very well liked.

If you're taking Animal Behavior, I'd strongly suggest taking Frey over Bowker, only because I've heard basically nothing but generally positive feedback about Frey, and negative about Bowker. I had Frey for Animal Behavior, and not only enjoyed the material and the class, but also found Frey to be extremely friendly and easy to work with, in addition to knowledgable.

Dr. Frey is a really cool teacher. He's very nice, enthusastic about his work and grades fairly easily. I'm not even a bio major and I did well in his class. But I also found his lectures kind of repetitive and boring, but most of my classmates loved it so it's probably just my thing. Overall I would recommend Dr. Frey. He does talk a lot about Monarch Butterflies though...

Dr. Frey was my favorite teacher at CAL POLY. He was my senior project and Master Thesis advisor. I feel he is fair and funny. I Hope you are reading this Dr. Frey. Remember the blue gourami experiment? Ha-Ha, You were a good sport all the times you found me asleep on the lab tables. :-)
