Bahringer is a very nice man and enjoys what he is doing. Unfortunately he is not very well informed on the subject matter and often doesn't know what he is talking about. He will try to help you if you ask but isn't usually very successful. He is an easy grader but makes a fairly boring class.

Fun class, great teacher, hes so cool and easy going, he wears adio shoes for gods sake!! take him hes great.

Bahringer doesn't know what he's doing at all when it comes to solidworks. He's a really nice guy and all, but any student who has taken this class probably knows more about the program than he does. Anyways, he's not a bad teacher to take because he grades the lab work really easily, and he tells you all the answers to the weekly quizzes right before he hands them out, so just listen for a few minutes at the start of class to what he has to say. Other then that, if you get stuck, look in the lab manual and read the demo for that particular lab, that certainly helped me out more than asking Bahringer for help.

Not always super knowledgeable about SolidWorks, but he can teach the course material just fine. Very helpful in and out of class.

Honestly Bahringer is pretty much a joke. This lab section is pure SolidWorks. Luckily I have a background with it and am familiar with the program so I could skip his \"lessons\" and do the work myself and leave. I tried to listen to his lessons and they make no sense. He reads straight from the lab manual which is horribly written and organized in my opinion. He does not know the program well at all, he is unfamiliar with many of its capabilities, he can often help, or at least try to with basic functions and problems, but even that takes him 10 minutes of him looking at the screen dumbfounded clicking random things and then finding the right option. Regardless of his useless teaching, it is a pretty easy class, there are \"quizzes\" sometimes, just ask, like out loud, and answer and he will probably tell you. Not too bad overall, but I did have experience with SolidWorks, I don\'t think I actually learned anything from him.

Bahringer is a joke, hands down! He tries to be helpful, but you may as well click random buttons yourself until you figure it out, cause that\'s all he does (he doesn\'t know much about the program to begin with). I had 0 experience with SolidWorkds but thanks to playig around on the free software download for my laptop and the guy sitting next to me, i was able to learn how to do everything. I really wouldn\'t worry about his lab demos at the beginning of each lab; he\'ll just confuse you even more. Just listen for the quiz answers each week. Nice guy though.

Bahringer was straightforward and easy, but not the right guy to teach SolidWorks. To generate the examples at the start of each lab, he followed the lab manual step-by-step. This wouldn\'t be a problem, except that it seemed his entire knowledge of SolidWorks was based on the lab manual, putting him at the same level as the students in some respects. Consequently, his ability to offer dynamic help when people had questions was somewhat limited. With this said, he was extremely patient, and his laid-back nature made class somewhat relaxing.

Bahringer is a very helpful teacher. He wants you to learn solidworks. It's very unfortunate that he is retiring. He deserves it though! He answered all but maybe one of my questions all quarter, so I think he was qualified to teach this class. He realizes this a 2 unit freshman level course and teaches it like so. That means it is easy to get a good grade in this lab.A
