If I could rate Professor Andrews on how much of a badass woman she is, she would get an A++++. She has so many cool stories and you can tell she is genuinely such a good person that has had a really cool life. As far as this class goes, I was kind of always confused as the actual point of what we were actually supposed to be learning. The class consists of a critical source reviews which she talks about but is still confusing and weird. We also had to do a literature review which again was like explained but kind of a weird assignment for the context of the rest of the class. Every week we had some type of "assignment" having to do with the reading assigned, it was usually some sort of partner or group quiz which was chill. The best part of this class was that for the midterm she lets you use a full 8 1/2 X 11 front and back on the test, and for the final we get to use two full papers front and back. The things I learned most from this class were from her life pro tips and weekly grammar lessons. If you want to experience a class with a really cool professor teaching kind of weird material take her because you will defiantly learn something, even if its just the different between its and it's.

Professor Andrews was the BEST! She is such an interesting and cool person and is clearly very intelligent. I genuinely looked forward to going to her class everyday and listening to her. There was a midterm and a final both of which you were allowed a full sheet front and back of notes which made getting an A on them pretty doable. There were also two papers that were graded very fairly. We also had "houses" (teams basically) that we were divided up into the whole quarter and would play games for points and every week she'd bring the team in the lead a prize like donuts or candy. Prof Andrews is really the best. She was funny, engaging and very competent. Definitely take this class. You learn a ton and the way you learn it is really fun.

Sada is the most inspiring professor EVER. Her class is challenging and you definitely need to pay attention and take notes in class, but she also cares so much about her students it's crazy. If you go to office hours she's super helpful. 10/10 would recommend this professor (the class is kinda hard though).

Andrews is the coolest, most badass professor! She is really straightforward and makes it clear how to get a good grade. There were a lot of extra credit opportunities and fun activities. I highly recommend you take a class from her!

Great teacher! She gave an oral midterm which everyone thought was going to be very hard. But she gave us the questions ahead of time and graded very easy. You could have read the answer off of a piece of paper and gotten a B. She has several activity type quizzes that were easy and made things less boring. Overall an interesting and easy class.

Fine teacher, but a little dry in the presentation. I wouldnt suggest having her at 8:00 in the morning, might be difficult staying awake.

This was my favorite class at Cal Poly. Prof. Andrews tailors lecture to what her students are most interested in, like human rights, fair trade, etc. She is willing to go out of her way to help students that care, but she doesn't tolerate students who slack off and expect her to give them all the answers at the last minute. The class is a lot of work (there is a paper due every week) and scary at times (oral midterm!), but it really helps you grow in your knowledge about international issues. She skips over most of the boring stuff, which is nice. Just make sure you do the readings.

Dr. Andrews is amazing. This course gave me more real world empirical evidence than most of my other courses, which made understanding the theories much easier. The reading is interesting and relevant, and Dr. Andrews also included occasional activities that were a fun way to break up the class. This professor knows her subject, will lead you to the information, and then challenge you to draw your own conclusions.

If Dr. Andrews is not the definition of "awesome," then I do not know what is.
