This AGED 102 class is for incoming freshman to take a class to orientate them to the university and also the college of Agriculture. For anybody who reads these things the class is really easy and it should really help you to familiarize yourself to the campus. Ms. Dianne Novo is the teacher but then Dr. Flores like regularly shows up to class he is like just there and supposedly he is the "teacher", but he's not. Ms. Novo basically takes over the class and she teaches. There are no tests, and no final. The only thing that is really important for the class is to do all of the work assigned and then do REALLY well on the professinal portfolio because all of your points are right there. If you don't do an assignment that is due on the regualar day you can just do it later and then turn it in at the end of the quarter. Also in the class you always make site visits to the Dairy unit, the poultry unit, and also the crops unit, but then pay attentin while you are there because you have to make a report about it. Just take the class so it will help you campus wise other than that don't take it. It's just for people who really don't know the campus that well.

Dr. Robert Flores and Dianne Novo ran the class together. They are both really nice and both extremely funny. I felt the class was useful in getting to know what the campus has to offer to help you out along your way. I found it really informative, and reccommend it for a any freshman. The class is a credit/no credit class, and pretty much comes down to attendance, a diversity presentation (pretty much a presentation on you and your interests, where you come from, your family... whatever you want) and a portfolio that is turned in at the end of the quarter, which contains everything you did that whole quarter, which is why attendance is sooo important. The class is really layed back, a good way to get adjusted, and a good opportunity to make some friends.

Dr. Flores is a great professor. He is able to present and teach the class very clearly. His teaching methods are superb and he is really a genuine person. He is very concerned with the growth and development of his students and takes the time to get to know all of them. His character reminds me of that of a father figure but with that in mind it is also to his detriment. There is a fine line between being a teacher who cares why their students don

TAKE FLORES FOR ANY CLASS. he is honestly soo nice and he wants his students to do well in his class. all you have to do is go to class and be on time and that is it. he gives daily participation which helps your grade a bunch if you go to his class and grades all his assignments soooo early. and has an optional final which is nice!
