Avey is the best! He is very helpful, knows what he is talking about and wants every student to do well. He gives mini exams so you dont get overloaded and makes even dry material seem intresting. He is the best econ teacher there is.

This guy is one of the best professors the 3 years i have been at cal poly. The first day of class he said, "they call me easy-avey" for a reason, and i thought he was full of sh*t. But then it just so happens this guy is great and he is very understanding, and he is the best econ teacher i have had at poly. Like people said before he does 4 to 5 mini exams for the material and this past summer he gave us a take home final and it was awesome. It's a good idea to go to class everyday because ypou might miss when he gives homework assignments, because you have to do them in class and it's a good way to get more points for a better grade. Overall take him and you'll be happy with the results and won't have to worry about getting a bad grade in his class.

Avey is an excellent teacher. He covers the information clearly and thouroughly. On top of the fact that he is an excellent teacher his tests are very easy. I got over 100% on a couple of the tests, thanks to bonus questions. I would recommend Avey to everyone for Agb 310.

they dont call him "Easy Avey" for no reason. He is an excellent teacher and down to earth guy. no hw and the tests are easy. A little excel sheet type report do at end of quarter that is a no brainer since he goes over it in class. also, if you go to his class on days that nobody else would nomally go to (i.e like day after test or fridays) you will be awarded extra credit sometimes. really cool dude

Very cool professor.... Instead of giving you 2 midterms, they're broken up into Mini-Exams.. I think we had like 4 or 5 of them?? He gives you a study guide before each mini exam, and the answers are posted outside of his office.. There's an excel sheet due at the end of the class, and the final is mostly off of that..and you get to have the sheet in front of you while you're taking the final! So if you get all the answers right on that excel sheet, then you're gonna get it right on the final ..There were a couple of quizzes, very straightforward, and he seems to give them on the days when there aren't a lot of people in class...

If Avey's teaching a class that you have to take...take him! He's an easy lecturer and somewhat entertaining, if not a little quirky. The class is easy and taking it from Avey makes it all the better. Make sure you show up to class, because he gives attendence quizzes (especially on a Friday!)

Avey is a really good teacher. Make sure that you bring the white spiral bound notebook to class every time because the quizes that you take are directly from this book and nothing else will be accepted. The answer to the quiz questions are in the back of the book so you automatically get a 10/ 10. You take 5 mini exams that you get a practice worksheet for and he goes over any question that you might have.

Avey is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Lectures were clear, concise, and interesting. He was always willing to help out during office hours and wants all of his students to do well. Take him for 310 no matter what!!!

Avey is a very nice man and a good teacher. You is organized and presents his material clearly. I didn't do well in the class because I am not good at math and this course is full of equations! Make sure you come to class on Fridays!

I love Avey! This guy was the most unintentionally funny man I have ever met. As for the class itself its really easy. The tests are relatively easy and you get 90 pts. worth of "Attendance" quizzes. So if you go to class every day you'll do fine.

Avey is bomb. There is a cash flow assignment at the end of the class that you have to complete in order to take the final. Beware he says the cash flow is basically the final but the final is only 50% cash flow questions so still study the other material. Overall Avey is easy. I loved his class and I hate school.

Avey is one of the best profs I have ever had at Poly. He is straight forward and clear with his lectures. The tests are easy, but only becuase he covers the material so well. I really like his teaching style...he gives mini exams on topics, instead of one huge final. He is a real down to earth guy, and lecture doesn't feel like some know-it-all lecturing down to you, but rather an intelligent guy just sharing some valuable information. I thought he was great, and I will take him when ever I can.

Avey is one of the most laid back teachers. This class is pretty straight forward...what you see on the test is directly out of your notes, book, and the activity. I never read the book, but did take the chapter quizes at the end...some of the questions come directly from that. I would've gotten an A if I really studied and it would've helped if I hadn't come drunk to my Friday test days, but oh well. He's a pretty cool guy, and loves talking about fishing, hunting, and "back in 1981 when I was a real estate agent...blah, blah, blah."

Great teacher. You have to fill-in your notes and follow along in class or you might get lost. He tests exactly like he teaches, right to the point and no BS.
