Karen was a great person. She was fun to talk to and she tried hard, but when she taught the class a new concept, she didn't seem to have a full understanding of the concept herself. Her examples and explanations were pulled straight from the book, and little did she delve any further into the concept to help us understand the new information. Many times she misunderstood what the book said and taught us an incorrect way to do a fairly simple problem. It seemed as if she was either still in, or just graduating graduate school and didn't have as many years of math experience as I would expect from a college level math professor.

I've never had a math teacher this disorganized and lacked so much verbal skills. Had I not taken AP Calc in high school, I would have been beyond confused in this course. Homework was due each Tuesday, but there weren't too many problems. She provides study guides for her exams, but somehow she would always through in a curve-ball question that would be ridiculously difficult. She is a genuinely nice person though and she treats you like a friend (and looks like she's a freshman in college), but at the time, I needed a teacher, not a friend who couldn't explain how to do simple integrals. Take another professor if you actually want to understand calculus.
