He is a fairly casual and easy-going guy. I think I (as well as he) had the misfortune of being in a very lazy class, so he was unable to garner any serious participation. Nevertheless, the workload was quite fair as well as the grading. He appears to be versed in the subject matter, I just never had a chance to explore his knowledge.

Despite the fact that he looks like a penguin, he's not that bad of a professor. His English accent makes him sound more knowledgable on the material, and in fact it's not that far from the truth, so you're more inclined to listen to what he has to say. Not the best prof I've had, but if you're not sure about another prof, definatly take Evnine.

Not the best teacher, but very adequate. Midterms are 20, 21 scantron questions.. curve is MONSTER (ie. I saw one guy with 9 out of 21 and a C-). A mostly stress-free class, just read the books and go to class. _NOT_ a class you can skip (he does take attendance). Simon's a pretty knowlegable, easy going guy.

He is really fair in his grading. If you show him that you are trying, even if you don't do well, you've got it made. The course is ok. The books are boring to read. The lecture was pretty boring for me since I'm not interested in philosophy. Take it when you are taking really tough classes. He doesn't expect any assignments or essay writings, which was a plus for me.

Good Professor. Must pay attention to lectures. Tests are reasonable.

At first, this class seems really difficult. There are weekly quizes on Fridays so attendance is a must. I thought that I was almost failing, but then in the final week he introduced a huge curve where my grade rose at least two spots to a B.
