The lab taught by Saimir was grand. Show up, fiddle around with some cool thing you won\'t understand, write your name on a paper, and you will get an A. Or so one would assume; you don\'t actually know your grade in lab because he never returns lab write-ups (they aren\'t graded). Lab is basically all about attendance, I assume. It definitely NEVER lasted 3 hours. TAKE BARJAMI FOR LAB!

Okay, so the class entirely based off of the midterm and the final basically. There are homework assignments, but you don\'t turn them in for credit, so most people don\'t do them. There are in class quizzes every week but he tells you exactly what\'s on them so you just have to memorize the answer basically. So you\'re going along, not understanding a word of physics during lectures, thinking that this is going to be an easy A. WRONG. Then the midterm comes and you\'re fucked because you haven\'t learned anything- and same goes for the final. DO NOT TAKE BARJAMI!!! I couldn\'t understand a word he said, and if you have to take another physics class you\'re SOL. AVOID HIM unless you know how to do physics already, or you are willing to teach yourself.

I usually don't partake much in the PolyRatings, but I felt the need as a student to get the word out to anyone else before they consider taking this teacher, if you can even call him that. Basically this guy is a grade A piece of Sh*t. I have never disliked a teacher at Cal Poly and I loathe this man. He has no compassion for teaching whatsoever. In fact he acts like he hates the students. He sarcastically cuts people down when they don't understand the material, he never entertains questions, his examples are BS compared to whats on the test, and in his pathetic mind, it is him versus the students. Anytime someone doesn't understand something he freaks out, gets defensive, and then asks us to "stop wasting time." I could go on forever but basically somewhere in the pits of hell and despair this work of art was formed, and he is the antithesis of what a teacher should be. So save yourself the frustration and agony, and just don't even think about thinking about taking this guy for anything. He really should just be put out to pasture in the ag department. Oh, and to whoever hired him, way to go moron.

Saimir is really nice. He's super easy and asks students if they want to have quizzes and tells us which questions will be on it. His lectures look like he pops in an instructional powerpoint that comes with the textbook. He's got a sweet accent and is really laid back. I haven't completed the class yet, so I'm a little worried how well I'll be off next quarter. Bottom line is that he's really easy, he's really nice, he really cares about his students but not that great at instruction.

quote: (in a south asian/ middle eastern accent) " You want to do the calculations, ok; you don't, then you go home. ok?" on another occasion, " I'm going to the main office, you here when I come back, ok; if not, then have a nice night." Every lab 30min max. Take him for lab!

Barjami is tight. Hes a little hard to understand, but he honestly hooks u up. I had a B the entire quarter and then fucked up on the final so I got a C. But he always gives pretty easy problems and will hook u up with points if you go see him. I highly recommend him especially in a dpt where there arent many good teachers.

First of all, you must be retarded to get anything below a 10 on his quizzes. No one in my class got below a 10 unless they didnt show up for the quizzes. He explains everything theoretically in class first so that when you go to do your homework you know what your doing. He does not collect homework, and he also gives you a little direction on what to study for the test which makes those pretty easy. Just having him in my schedule made my quarter a lot less stressful. Make sure you get this guy for lab too.

Saimir is an amazing professor. This class included quizzes every Monday directly from the homework, he will even tell you the problem that the quiz is on. One midterm in the middle of the quarter (what midterms SHOULD be) based off of the homework as well and the final that was fairly easy. As long as you do the homework in this class and understand the equations there is no way you can fail this class. There are no equations to remember either. He is really good at helping students if they are having a difficult time and is very understanding if you're sick. He honestly wants you to pass and I would highly recommend him.

Saimir is a very lovable guy, and he understands that the material can get boring, so he cracks jokes and tries to keep the class pretty low-stress. However, the material is difficult, and my one suggestion is to READ THE BOOK on top of listening to his lectures, because he moves very fast and it can get overwhelming. At the end of the quarter, I read the book as review for the final, and realized that I would have done so much better throughout the quarter if I would have read the chapters in the book each week. Overall, he's a good guy...just make sure you stay focused and on top of it.

Saimir has to be the easiest teacher in the physics department. His lectures are very neat and easy to follow, but not very helpful. If you want to skate by in a class and not really learn the material, Saimir is your guy. Anybody who fails his class is either fucking retarded or never showed up for any lectures. His midterms are a joke, his final was pretty easy, and he tells you what question will be on the quiz the day before. He's an awesome guy, has a really funny accent, but is not a great professor.

Great professor, you have to learn some of the stuff out of class, but he is always available for help. He will get you the grade if you put in some effort.

I spent 0 hours a week studying for this class. There's no homework, no lab reports, free points on all the quizzes and he tells you everything that's going to be on the quiz/midterm/final beforehand. If you show up to class every day and pay attention then you've sealed yourself an A. I didn't miss a single point in the class. I'll never take physics from anyone else ever again. Ever.

Saimir gives the student the responsibility to learn as much (or as little) as they personally want. It is up to you and your own self disipline.Go to lectures and do ALL the homework and you will succeed in his course. He is also helpful in office hours.

Barjami was an alright professor as far as physics goes. He gave homework every week but didn\'t collect it, so most people didnt do it. But this was a big mistake I made because the homework is something you need to do in order to do well on the midterms and final. He does quizzes every week but tells you what will be on them so those are easy. So all in all, barjami is alright so long as you do the recommended homework and study outside of class.

His class is incredibly easy but his curve can work against you if you are on the border of an A-/B+. I had an A- and after he curved the grades, it became a B. His explanation was that not everyone can get an A. Since when can a curve hurt your grade?? I guess only when it\'s an easy class and the average is a 88%

Take this guy. Easiest teacher ive had to date. Tells you what you need to know and takes questions from the hw and puts them on the tests. Weekly monday quizes and he tells you the question before hand so you always ace it. His lab is really laid back and easy, i usually show up an hour late and it doesnt matter. Overall presents the material well even though his english is not 100%. this is the only guy i will take for physics

He always came to class with power point slides prepared which made lecture easy to follow. There is a quiz each week but he tells exactly which problem from the book it is. The final was a little harder than I expected but he's fine... especially for being part of the physics department.

Barjami is very easy professor and is fun to take. His quizes were garanteed A+ and tests were east SO LONG as you did the hw, which since you're in college you should be doing it. He doesn't really understand the problems being handed out as the time I asked a question about a problem, he looked over the solution manual to answer my question. Unless you're a physics major, and require this course for anouther class, I highly suggest you take this course because lets face it, you're not going to need this material anywhere else.

Professor Barjami is a great teacher. The quizzes he gives in class are usually over a worked out problem in the book or a homework problem and he even made the midterm three homework problems. He wrote the midterm so that if you didn't get any of the math right, you still could get a C by just getting the physicial and pictorial representations right for the problems. For the final, he picked three homework problems, a worked out problem from the book, and a problem he made up. I got a 48/55 on the midterm and I did pretty well on all of the quizzes except for a few and I was pretty sure that I did bad on the final. As you can see, I still ended up with a B. Overall, I think that Professor Barjami was a great professor to have for Physics 141.

Barjami is pretty awesome. Quizzes were given once a week, and if you completed the homework they were no problem. The midterms went over the same homework. So basically if you do the homework you will rock the class. Plus as long as you show him that you are working hard to understand the material he will help you out. Final was pretty tough but the class is curved to everyone in your class so if you did bad everyone else probably did too.
