This is the first C I have recieved in my entire life. I hope that says something to all of you out there watching their GPA. Do not take him--this class was a nightmare!

He doesn't teach this class that often, mostly just CE 337. I didn't like him but from what I've heard all the water teachers suck, and he acts like a nice guy so maybe he's the best of the worst. His lectures last for two hours and consist of him reading off his handout; very boring, MAY PUT YOU TO SLEEP. The homework was graded hard and was very unclear. He gave one midterm and a final during dead week. They mostly covered the material from the lecture that he barely mentioned and that were complicated, so be sure to write down all the equations from his notes on the formula sheet he allows you to make. The bright side is that each test has bonus problems that help out a lot. Lastly, he is the worst in office hours. I read all his handouts, the book, and still couldn't understand his homework. I asked him for help and all he told me was to look in the handout.

I really enjoyed professor Daza's lecturing ability. I learned way more in the 337 lab than in 336. Overall an excellent prof who really seems to care about students. The only complaint I have is his lectures are a little long sometimes and could be shortened a bit.

Daza's lectures are very boring and almost always unnecessary. I would recommend bringing a book to read or a nice pillow. He cares about the students, and the course is fairly easy though.

Every other week is lecture where he spends 2 1/2 hours painfully going through every single detail of the lab. They completely unnecessary, and I have not listened to a single one. It is extremely unpleasant sitting in those uncomfortable chairs for 2 1/2 hours not having anything to do; we are not able to leave because he takes attendance. I don't know why he thinks he needs to lecture for anywhere near that amount of time, but he some how does. The labs are trivial, and they take a little over two hours to complete. The lab write ups are very straight forward and don't take too much time. He is also a little difficult to understand because he is quiet and has trouble communicating in English.

Weekly Lab Reports (60%) Lab Final (30%) Attendance (10%) The lab final is pretty hard so bank on the lab reports and attendance. Expect to be in lab all 3 hours.
