One of the best teachers of the AgriBusiness Industry at Cal Poly. She has had so much success in the industry herself, that she brings so much to the table as a professor, and her class is straight forward and easy, as long as you go to class! Take Hildebrand every chance you get, she's a great connection and a great professor!

Jacky is way cool! Almost every class got out early, and even though this was her first AGB 101 class she did a great job presenting the material. Most of the notes are on a powerpoint, but she draws out great displays that help you understand everything. Her grading system is really straightforward. You do have to do the work though, you cannot just cruise through you need to do all the work she gives you but if you do your golden. Homework load is not too overwhelming, so just get it over with as soon as you get home so you dont forget. Jacky also relates really well with her students and sometimes goes off on tangents and tells fun stories...take this class for sure.

This was one of the easiest class i've taken at Cal Poly. We got out of class almost an hour early everyday and all the notes are in the book you buy at the beginning of the quarter so all you have to do is fill in a few blanks. There wasn't too much homework and the tests weren't too hard, especially the final which was a take home final. Jacky is really nice and approachable and she's willing to help students who need it; she really wants everyone to succeed and get a good grade in her class. I would take this class from her if you can.

Hildebrand is an amazing teacher. I first read the evals and thought that she couldn't let you out of class all the time. But she did every once in a while. if you make friends with her she will give you a good grade. she is a typical teacher that plays favorites. take her if you want to look at a milf for a few hours per week. i loved that class!!!

I am very surprised to see such positive ratings for this proffessor. Although the class was admittedly very easy, she seemed to be totally indifferent to the needs of her students, and was brilliant at wasting time with extensive, social, \"meet the freshman\" activities that burned through hours of the class time we are paying for. She will make you buy her $60 \"book,\" which is a worthless hodgepodge of newspaper articles and powerpoint slides, that probably took her the better part of an afternoon to slap together. We never went over or referenced almost anything from it. You have to buy it online, and the few assignments you do with it require you to write in it, so you can\'t sell it back. Assuming she makes a 30% profit on each book sold, she is easily raking in $4000 a quarter off of it. Now that\'s business. Her T.A.s did all the work, and were very helpful, while she sat to the side of the room on her computer. She was very rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend her for my dogs. She is the only professor that I have ever left a negative review of. Dont take her class.

Jacky is a relatively new professor to Cal Poly, she is also the Marketing Manager of the California Mid State Fair. If theres someone who can make Food and Fiber Marketing fun, its her. She does a great job of making class interesting with guest speakers, and she interacts with the class alot, she is also responsive to the needs of the class. She is by far the better choice for this class so if you can take her, do it, even if its a nite class... you'll thank yourself later. plus she's single, alright!

Jacky is one of the best professors I've had at Cal Poly!! She is very excited about the subject, which makes it fun for the whole class. The class material was very well presented and her grades were also fair. I would highly recommend her to anyone needed to fulfill the requirement.

She is a decent teacher. The lectures are entertaining but sometimes get way off subject. If you want a relatively easy grade take her, but sometimes the material is presented poorly and I didn't quite understand what was going on in the class.

Jacky was loads of fun! I thought she did a fine job teaching the class, getting people involved in discussions, and just giving the class a really enjoyable atmosphere. The tests were not too bad, but you do need to study quite a bit. There are plenty of opportunities to make up points through in class assignments and other homework, though. Overall, I'd definitely recommend her.

Someone summed up Hildebrand's work ethic in the following quote "She is only teaching for the medical benefits and flexable hours." She cancelled 6 classes the quarter I took her class, and didn't hold class dead week because her kids were too busy showing sheep. I felt like she didnt even care about her students. Her class is an easy A with minimal effort. If you are a marketing concentration, I wouldn't take this class because you probably won't learn too much.

She is not a bad teacher, but don't expect to learn much. She either lets you out of class early or doesn't have class. I went more often than she did. Final was optional. Show up take notes and you will get an A.

Yes, she is a very easy teacher. Yes, you will get full credit no matter how horrible your homework is, as long as you write something down. Yes, you can get an A if you sleep in class. She canceled class twice and only told us by posted a sign on the classroom door. Poor organizer, but knows what she is talking about. I was very frustrated at her lack of student communication, and her TA was the only one there to grade/administer exams. She was in Hawaii during finals week. Overall I thought it was a waste of my time.

Horrible teacher. Not only does she not really teach, but she also is always changing assignments without telling students. Never knows what chapter we are on, in fact, once she didn't tell us until the day before the test that she had "accidentally" told us to study for the wrong chapters. Overall, probably the most disorganized teacher I have ever had. Should have received an A in the class but never had any idea when stuff was due or what chapters we were supposed to be covering. Suggestion for the Professor: Let the students know what YOU WANT. Don't assume that we all know what is going on inside your head, because we don't. I don't think you even know what is going on inside your head.

She really just doesn't know how to teach or just doesn't care. You are basically assigned chapters to read and assignments involving those chapters. Sometimes when asked to clarify something she will just tell students "you will understand it later." If I was paying tuition money to teach myself about marketing this would be a great course!

She is the most unorganized professor I have ever had. She does not really teach and does not follow the syllabus schedule at all. Class is cancelled and let out early on a regular basis. I did not learn a single thing and would never take a class with her again.

This class is horrible. I went to look on polyratings to see who i should take for 301 and while Eshelby doesn't have good ratings, everyone said they got A's. This would be an easy class if she actually taught the material. She does not teach any of the material that you are expected to know for the midterms or finals. To make it worse, she gives you 1-3 busywork assignments weekly, that she does not even grade. She will never give any of them back to you. She does not have office hours, and will not help you with the material because she has no idea what she is talking about. What is covered in lecture does not parallel what is taught in the book, and on the tests she uses none of the information that she lectures on in class. All the information is in the book, but you have no idea where in the book you are so it is impossible to study for. Save yourself some time, and take a harder professor that actually is organized and has their shit together. Horrible professor, DO NOT TAKE.

Super duper disorganized. Study the text book! This is where the midterm comes from. She throws on a bunch of assignments that she never looks at. If she did not have a TA, she would not make it. Do not expect to become adept at marketing because this class is more about trading fake money in the futures market then actually working on marketing concepts. Eshelby herself is cool though. Class is semi fun

Professor Eshelby starts off the quarter with an easy class, but there is a project that is due at the end of the quarter and she doesn't really talk about it much after it's assigned. If you finish the project early, then everything will be fine- otherwise you will feel like you're drowning with all of the assignments that are due by the end (all around the same time too!!) There is a weekly memo due, from an article from the WSJ which seems to be worth some points overall. There is also a commodity trading assignment that isn't too hard, but there that is the only opportunity for extra-credit. For midterms and the final: read the book and look over lecture activities, but definitely read the book!! There are tons of definitions on the midterm that she never mentioned that come from there.

Jacky is a saint. She makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. She is so understanding, patient, and good at teaching that it makes class enjoyable. When I'm too hungover to go to class and I can't get there, I become slightly depressed from Jacky separation. That is the only issue with this course. Great professor, can't wait to take her again.
