I was really unimpressed with this professor. He was mildly funny but only because he was completely off his rocker. He speaks with a slurred drawl and it makes it really hard to understand him. On the plus side, he gives you all the homework on the syllabus, and the test problems are selected from the homework problems so there are no suprises. He was also flexable about scheduling the final and he dropped the lowest test scores... as long as you can teach yourself the information (don't expect his lectures to help at all!!) you'll pull an easy A.

Ok.. this class is an easy class but not with him. Granted he makes you laugh because half the time he is oblivious as to what is going on, I would not recommend taking him. I could not tell if he was drunk most of the time or what but he gives you 5 homework problems a night and then spends the next class going over them because no one knew how to do them to begin with. He collects your homework every meeting and has you sign in for attendance. The required workload is light but you will spend more time trying to teach yourself... take someone else!

although i got an a, it was because i survived sitting through his pointless, jumbled, oblivios lectures and did the reading. Plus, i had trig last year in hs, with a great teacher. Carelton's tests are not that hard, just 12 problems, some that are hard, but he usually curves. Hes a crazy guy, who cant hear, and will cut you off to ask what you said, and never knows whats going on, he really cant help you. A funny thing is that he name drops like no other, he even knows the Bushs and design most of boeings fleet.such a rad guy he has some speech problem, but he probably wouldnt admit it. ill break it down to make class easier - formuler = Formula Furver = further kinky = I have no idea.

This is one of the best profs i've had a poly yet. He is a great guy and makes class enjoyable with all his stories. He is really straight up with what you need to know for his tests and what is expected of you. Dont expect to learn everything from his lectures though because he jumps around a bit. If you do all the homework problems and the ones in class and you are able to regurgitate them on a test you'll get an A, no worries. If you can stand putting in 30 to 45 minutes a night and 2hours the night before tests for studying problems this is the prof to take.
