Your grade is based mostly off of just showing up, he has sign the roll almost everyday. So go to class. As for the rest of your grade it come from one midterm, a few 20pt projects/papers that are really easy and only take a hr on avg. to complete and one final design project that worth 200pts (more than the midterm). His lectures are rather boring and he doesn't follow any specific outline, he just rambles on. He is very knowledgeable and the labs are kind of fun. It is a pretty easy class to do well in, just show up and do the assignments and use class time to do our homework. | |

Dr. Warfield is a grandpa kind of cute man. His lab is good because he doesnt give tests. But he does take role at the beginning and end of the class, so you have to be there and can't cut out. The class consists of pruning trees and picking fuit and its fun because you get to be outside. The only thing that sucks is the way he lectures.......he goes on and on about stupid things like how to use a ladder properly, even though we had been using them half the quarter before his lecture. They get a lot less painful if your lit. | |

Dr.Warfeild has a great amount of knowledge in the area of fruits and pomology, but he tends to talk a lot about the past and can be difficult to follow sometimes. | |

Dr. Warfield is one of the coolest professors I have had at Poly. I don't know why I liked him so much; he acts rather gruff but he is really an awesome guy. He is always willing to help if you have a question about something. The class wasn't too difficult. There was one exam (no final), two short papers, and a big final project in which you needed to design an orchard. The exam was kind of tricky, I had the highest grade in the class with an 85%, but he curved the grade. The labs were fun too, we went out and picked different fruit every week and then you get to bring some home with you to. I would definitely take FRSC 230 with Dr. Warfield. I loved this class!!! | |
