Mr. McCorkle was so boring. If you go to class and copy the notes from the board and study a little, you'll do fine. If you can, don't take him.

If McCorkle were half as smart as he thought he was, he'd be ten times as smart as he really is. He's even sub-par for Cal Poly AGB professors.

His teaching strategies are awful. He is the worst teacher I have ever had. He could have retired years ago but he told my advisor that the only reason he is still here is because he wants to be the teacher who has been at cal poly the longest. This shows. All his notes are off of the overhead and while you are trying to copy them down he is rambling on about the concept and no one is paying attention to. His tests are all short answer and definition. If you find old tests he usually has some of the same questions off of them on the current tests. Same with homework. His homework, he doesn't explain it at all so you are searching through your notes to see if he ever mentioned anything at all about how to do it. Labs are the worst. They are 2 hours a week on a Friday. They are only worth 15 pts each and they are so intense and long. Most of the labs require more than 2 hours of work. You walk into lab and he starts to mumble about where to put stuff in the program and he doesn't even explain what program you are doing or what the lab is all about. Also he tests completly off of notes so there is no reason to buy the book!! I started to read it and never needed it. He may say you do in class or refer to it but you don't. The concepts of the class are good but McCorkle makes the class suck... If you can take BUS 212 or wait till he retires!!

First of all the fact that every student in his classes are reading a newspaper, sleeping should illustrate the simple fact that he has no idea that no one is obtaining any information. He is simply there taking up space mumbling to one person in the front row. If someone asks him to clear something up he yells, then his double chin shakes and it scares me. As far as labs are concerned, all he does is stand there like a bumb on a log, we usually only get to work on our labs for about 45 minutes out of 2 hours because of some god forsaken reason. I am sure he is nice guy, and I am doing ok in the class, but I would rather slice each one of my acillie tendons than attend his class.

Mr. McCorkle is going to give me an ulser. As a student concerned with my education I get very frustrated when he gives homework with no explanations or instructions. It's really hard to do that shit! He doesn't help us out. My advise is, if you absolutely have to take this class, take another accounting class beforehand. The only reason I am passing the class is because I have friends who have taken other accounting classes.

Mr. McCorkle's tests are difficult, but he grades them fairly easily. Also, they're all TBA. Homework, on the other hand is pretty tough. The assignments will often have no instructions, and he makes no attempts to explain how they are done. He make learning kind of difficult.

He mumbles, he's outdated, and he doesn't like to answer questions when students raise their hand. All every class consists of is copying down notes that he printed on a transparency back in the 70's. The lab is even worse. He doesn't know Excel, yet he tries to teach it, so sometimes he'll have a student come up and explain things. It is unfortunate that he is such a poor teacher, because he is a very nice man, but if you can get a hold of a midterm, he reuses them.
