Test material is fair. Isn't the enthusiastic teacher that really wants the student to learn. An average teacher.

Hey if you want an A take him. He is fairly easy. Just study and your in good shape if you've taken calculus in High school. He might cough up a lung on you though or cause you to laugh uncontrollably (not because he ment too). Tests are short and exactly like examples shown in class. Does require homework.

He was quite an easy teacher. He curved the grades so that an 85% was an A. You have a quiz every Wednesday, that is on the homework that was assigned during that pervious week.

Dr. Hutton likes math and seemed to get a kick out of some very strange things. Ex: He enjoys sitting at his kitchen table doing coin tosses because probability is so interesting. Hmm. Get used to his coughing and gurgly throat from his apparent chain smoking. About the class, there were about six 25-point quizzes on relatively little information. The class was different than any other I've had (not necessarily a good thing). Overall, he means well and is a nice 'ol fella and if you understand, getting a decent grade isn't too difficult.

My only complaint is that I had it early in the morning. If you can understand basic math concepts then you shouldn't have any problems at all. If you dont get it, read the book, and he is more than happy to do problems you dont understand on the board. The optional final is nice and the quizzes dont spank you too hard. I even got to skip some classes without feeling hurt by it. If you are taking 221 TAKE HIM!

This guy is really old. He coughs up a lung every day because has lung cancer. THis class is damn easy I slept my lazy ass in and only went on quiz days once a week, the guy sucks at teaching but he was pretty cute.

If you've had enough math in high school, you'll do alright. The teacher is bad at explaining, but he is very willing to go over homework. Final is cumulative, but optional. Just do well on the weekly quizzes and don't fall behind on homework.

While it is very easy not having weekly quizzes instead of huge midterms and finals, he was terrible at explaining homework or answering questions because half the time he messed up or was coughing his lung up. Once he spent half an hour going over a problem we didn't even need to go over. Basically, he wastes your time. You'll be able to pull decent grades if you keep up on homework and can get math on your own, but you'll hate it.
