Valerie is great. She's also retiring, so if you're considering taking her, do it! You'll have a chance next year to take another teacher and round out your style. She's a sweetie, really good at communicating moves, even the ones her aging bones don't allow her to fully demonstrate anymore. She will work with you if you ask her to, and really just wants to see the class succeed. | |

Val Kline is an awesome dance instructor. I found beginning modern to be accessible yet simultaneously challenging under her instruction. I feel as though my skill as a dancer improved significantly and I can say the same for many girls in the class less experienced than I was. Gradewise, don't expect an easy A. Kline will hold you to the standards that SUIT YOU. Don't worry about failing because you aren't a born dancer, but also understand an A in the Cal Poly dance department is reserved for students truly dancing at an A level. That being said, Val as a person is funny, kind, and extremely helpful. One last tidbit, she is extraordinarily hot and very sexy even when compared to people much younger! | |
