SPAN 101 Junior Grade Earned: A Elective 10:02 pm, Jan 2, 2012 Report Evaluation |
Professor Chroman is an excellent teacher. She tries to speak in spanish as much as possible to immerse you in the language. Every class she has you speak with other student which is good practice on actually speaking the language rather than just reading and listening. She is really nice and helpful when it comes to any questions. Definately recommend you take her, you will learn a lot.

SPAN 124 Freshman Grade Earned: A Elective 2:24 am, Jun 10, 2011 Report Evaluation |
Profesora Chroman is very sweet and a good spanish professor. She is a bit timid, but makes up for it with her enthusiasm. She has studied in Mexico so she has some good stories, and is really adamant teaching about different Spanish cultures. I thought the tests were easy if you just went to class everyday and didn't study. The essays are a bit harder. She is not an easy grader with those, but if she sees you put time and effort into them than you should get decent grades. If not, go to her office hours because she is really willing to help. Buy the book NEW, not used. I made that mistake and had to pay $92 for the online SpanishLabs program which was much more expensive than the book would've been with the free code for the program. And those online assignments are part of the grade so you can't really avoid that one. Take Prof. Chroman if you get the chance, she's great!

SPAN 101 Senior Grade Earned: A Elective 2:29 pm, Jan 31, 2010 Report Evaluation |
If you have never taken a spanish class before, then Spanish 101 takes a good amount of effort. Tanya Chroman is a great teacher to learn from. She lived in Mexico for 2 years and it shows! She speaks spanish fluidly and clear with an accent. She is very positive and makes the class interactive. You will definitely learn a lot from her class.
