GEOG 102 Freshman Grade Earned: B General Ed 1:33 pm, May 16, 2011 Report Evaluation |
I loved Scott! He made everything super interesting. There's no real point in reading the book because he discusses everything important in each chapter during lecture and if he doesn't go over it in class, it's not on the midterm. Your grade consists of a lecture booklet (in class), homework (once a week), 2 midterms, and a final. Scott is super engaging and makes funny sound effects all the time to keep you alert. I didn't give a shit about rocks at all before this class and now I run around with my friend pointing out stuff I wouldn't have known at all had I not taken this class. It's definitely a great fill if you need a B3 and dont wanna take chem!

GEOL 201 Junior Grade Earned: C Required (Support) 3:35 pm, Mar 24, 2009 Report Evaluation |
I had Johnston for GEOL201, and I thought he was great. His tests are pretty hard though. It's not just a lot of memorizing, you also have to know how all the cross-sections work and how to interpret the map symbols. His lectures were always interesting, and if you do bad on the tests, it's ok because there's two extra credit assignments where you visit Avila and Montana de Oro. I highly recommend him for geology.
