She goes by her first name and has tattoos. Coolest, most down-to-earth professor I've ever had. Her class is RIDICULOUSLY EASY, and that's not something you can say for most Eng 134 sections. Not to mention she is extremely understanding and helps you with any problems you may have. If you need to take 134, do everything in your power to take Morgan's section. | |

Morgan's class taught me to think about EVERYTHING! Race, gender, ginger bias, hipsters, you name it! The essays were hard, but she is hilarious, smart, and cares a lot about every student and will help you write better if you want to. One of my best classes at poly. | |

Morgan is an amazing teacher! She understands students and really wants everyone to succeed. She managed to make rhetoric interesting and fun. There are lots of essays, but they aren't too bad and she grades fairly. She allows you to redo an essay, if you do terrible, without any point deduction. There's no midterm or final- you just have to meet with her one-on-one during her office hours. Definitely recommend | |

Morgan is by far my favorite teacher so far at Cal Poly. She\'s approaches writing in a very engaging and up-to-date fashion. The essay prompts are very interesting, such as the MySpace analysis essay, where you choose a random profile on MySpace and analyze it for meaning. She gives you a lot of freedom in your style of writing and truly cares about your success in her class. Workload wasn\'t bad at all; if you take advantage of revising your essays, there is no doubt you will achieve the grade you are looking for. | |

Morgan Leckie's english 134 was definitely my favorite english class that i have taken. ever. She is extremely animated, enthusiastic, funny, encouraging, fair, and she knows her shit. She is a grad student so i feel like she can relate more to her students because she is one herself. her assignments are interesting; they give you freedom of choice while still forcing one to select an intellectually compelling topic. There are four major essay which are 4 - 6 pages each (totally reasonable), and there are a two or three minor essays which are only 2 -3 pages. The little bit of reading she assigns is usually interesting or funny and she uses them for in class discussions. The final is a group assignment analyzing satirical rhetoric. your group of four or five is responsible for a 20 min analytical speech using skills learned throughout the quarter. I highly recommend morgan. shes young, shes cool, shes engaging, and most importantly she has an amazing ability to connect with her students. | |
