I had the exact same experience as the person above with Professor Gish. I enrolled in what I believed was the correct section of LS-101, and when I went to speak with Gish for a completely unrelated reason I was very rudely informed that the section I was enrolled in was for freshman only and I was FORBIDDEN to take it, even though taking the other section meant completely disrupting my scheduel. I found her to be rude, abrasive, condescending, and entirely unhelpful. So much in fact that I won't even see her as my advisor anymore. I recommend staying far away from her and anything she teaches! | |

After being informed, by the department, that I was enrolled in a specific section (meant for freshmen) but due to course conflict was told that I could remain in the section, Gish very rudely told me that I was in the wrong section and that it was "ONLY FOR FRESHMEN" She told me it was just too bad and I would have to take it another time. She was very rude and cold. | |

I think the person in who wrote the other evaluation said it all. Rock on person! I totally agree with that person! I think what he/she meant to say is the MOST you can get is a B on a project that took us 10 hours to do! She sucks! | |

Don't be fooled by Dr. Gish's innocent attitude in class. She is nothing but a *****. I mean that. If you attempt to try to talk to her out of class, she acts as though her time is so precious. She made me very afraid to talk to her about the course and my education. Not only is she an aweful advisor, she is a very bad teacher. She is so disorganized and she talks and talks about useless shit. Her tests are impossible. She asks questions like "what is Dr. Gish's favorite page in 'Good Night Zoo'" I'm suprised she didn't ask us what the fucking page number was. Give me a break. Who care what your favorite page is. Her grading is impossible. Even if you work 10 hours on a project she'll give you at the least, a B. Give me a break. Who the hell does she think she is grading our creativity? take the other professor instead. I think her/his name starts with a B. Oh also, if you do decide to get into Gish's class make sure you go because attendence is like 25% of your grade. Oh one other thing, if professor Gish is reading this, take the stick out of your *** and get off your high horse. | |
