Up until the first test this class seems horrible. The test is super easy. All the tests and hw are online and they use the same format and almost same questions so just do the hw and study a little before the tests and it's an easy A, which is the opposite of all other accounting courses I've been told about. Prof Savage is super nice and helpful if you have any questions, which you will. The only thing is she's a little confusing to understand sometimes but she makes up for it with her generous and sweet personality

Very easy class but it's pretty boring. If you want an A, take this class.

If you have the choice, take Savage. She doesn't teach the material particularly well and you have to do most of the learning on your own, but the tests are ridiculously easy. As long as you study from MAL (the homework problems she gives) you'll ace the tests with barely any studying. She's also the NICEST lady you'll ever meet in your life. She really cares about students and will give you homework and test extensions if you're nice and ask for them.

If you took 319 with Savage, then you will find that this course is similar; weekly clicker quizzes, midterm and final, one small and one big project. If she assigns Mary\'s Pool case project, I would not recommend using Quickbooks online. Peachtree premium trial edition is much better since it is easier to use and more importantly has all the functions you need to complete the project with ease.

This class had a lot of 214 review, but don’t expect it to be super easy. If you do the manual project and understand it the midterm won’t be too difficult. But you MUST understand it. I enjoyed the class and Dr. Savage can be funny. There are ’clicker quizzes’ sometimes every class meeting, but the questions are usually the exact same multiple choice or true/false questions that she assigns as homework from the book. Our computer project didn’t work because the program wouldn’t run, so we ended up doing a small paper-based computer analysis project. Not hard, but still 5% of our grade. She really seems to care about her students and will help when needed. The final was mostly about internal controls, which I didn’t expect. So, even though the final is cumulative and you have to know the book and handouts be prepared for situational and many other internal control questions.

Really nice teacher. The class is a detail-oriented Bus214 so it's not too hard, just you have to be careful. The project is "find and correct the mistakes in this accounting workbook" and she goes over everything as in why it's wrong and how to correct it. The midterm is re-doing parts of the project so know it well. Savage is a good teacher though. She tries hard to emphasize important things and likes to laugh/joke around. Very important since "accounting information systems" doesn't exactly scream "exciting".

I am amazed at amount of effort and care she puts into her students. She knows whether or not you care and she will assist you accordingly. I am thankful to have taken her class, it helped polish my 214/215 skills that I had lost from taken the courses 2 years prior almost. I feel the class was well organized for being the first semester given. She had a manual paper project which was challenging but not overbearing. The GreatPlains project was a near failure, but she knew that and it wasn't her fault but the softwares. She made sure never to use that software again. The project was good to have some soft of accounting software background, but lacked substance. Her tests were fairly graded and had some suprises that were challenging but only if you hadn't studied. The clicker class quizzes were easy and she taught along with them. One suggestion for her would be to have more interactive lectures, but I highly recommend her.
