Professor Singh is extremely passionate about IT and since this class was an introduction class, he really seemed to enjoy educating those who were not of the IT majors. His class was fair - tests were based off of lecture slides. But beware, you should definitely attend class because his tests asks a few questions about things he showed us or taught us in class. He was a very attentive teacher and was extremely helpful during office hours. Take him- you learn a lot of interesting things about the IT industry and work on a really cool final project!

Jay is the bomb. Best teacher I've ever had at Poly and his class alone has gotten me a job. Nobody in the collegiate education system could teach packaging courses better than this man. Take his class and learn a ton.

Jay is a very unique teacher. He moves pretty quickly and is very straighforward, but he is always available and ready to help students in office hours. His dedication and love for the program is undeniable, which is always a plus in a teacher. My interest for Packaging was definitey stimulated by his teaching. The tests are not too hard...and you can find all the information you need to study on his power points. There is also a lab with this course, which is fun and easy. Wish I would have studied harder for Test #2, but overall was a really good class!

Dr. Singh is a great packaging professor that really knows what he is talking about. He requires no textbooks for his classes and his midterms are all from his powerpoint slides. This class was a little tough since it did require memorizing formulas but as long as you know them and know how to use them you should be fine. He\'s very helpful so if you have any questions make sure to ask him! Class consists of 2 midterms, a final, and a final project. Do your work and you should be fine.

Dr Singh is a very good teacher, and is really chill. He does lecture straight off the slides and tests right off the slides. But the lectures can be very interesting, and he presents the material clearly and engages in discussions with the class. He is very well connected but doesn\'t brag about it. If you\'re considering this class for a GE, then take it. You\'ll learn a lot.

Although Jay\'s tests are fairly difficult, he is an excellent teacher. He knows everything about the subject, presents the material in a way relating to real world applications, and is very helpful if you talk to him during office hours. Jay is a great teacher overall.

Be careful if you're taking this class. You learn everything there is to know about packaging, but you're not tested on it. By this, I mean you can have the lecture concepts down, but if you're not memorizing the little percentages and insignificant numbers on the slides, don't expect to get a good grade on the midterms or test. The tests are very unfair in difficulty, but the class itself is decently interesting. Singh is a great guy, and what we learned can be applied in the real world, but don't expect a good grade unless you have a sponge for a mind.

Although Jay is extremely smart and helpful, his tests are near impossible to ace due to the fact that he asks extremely detailed questions about items that are not important. Good class but the tests could be better suited towards relevant class material

Professor Singh did nothing but follow powerpoint slides EVERYDAY. There'd rarely be any discussion at all and I found the class to be lacking in stimulation. He'd pack in all these powerpoint slides during each lecture that you were expected to print out on your own (about 12 pages a lecture) and simply follow along. From the start of the class he told us that he'd be taking attendance but that'd happen rarely. Overall, the class is pretty easy.. all you gotta do is do well on the multiple choice midterms, final, and group project (which is all pretty much cake) and you're fine.
