Dr. White is the department head and this is a painful thought. Transcending the classroom he is a nice guy, but sometimes class is just frustrating. He is a typical old man and takes forever to get through topics and answers questions in a roundabout way. There is 1 midterm, 1 quiz, 1 final project, homework due during the second class of the week, and a big final. It frustrated me that he gave us the big project in the end of the quarter, as it stressed everyone out. I personally had to go to every office hour to be able to do the homework. IT is an interesting class, you just need to be ready to put in the time with D white!!! | |

Nive guy, horrible teacher. Dont take this class if you want to learn anything. This coure can be taught in three hours, but white failed to realte to any student. Extremly frustrating.... | |

i have emailed this professor three times, and not once has he responded. he teaches like you already know the stuff and when a question is asked he basically restates what he has already said, but doesnt answer the question. it should be an interesting class, but it has not been, and is giving me much more frustration than my more difficult courses. | |

Very good person, very understanding of the students' needs. I only got a B because I was lazy to do the hw. and didn't really care about the class itself, other than that he's better than all the other instructors teaching the class... if you put some effort in, you'll get an A. | |

Ok, let me just save you all some painful remarks and allow me to say: HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SUCH A PRESTIGIOUS INSTITUTION LIKE CAL POLY TO HAVE SUCH A HORRIBLE TEACHER IN ONE ITS DEPARTMENTS????? PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHY???!! | |
