Patty is the absolute best! It was her first quarter at Cal Poly and she was honestly one of the best professors I've ever had. She is so knowledgable and interested in her subject and brings it a lot of real world experience. On the last day she gave a cute little inspirational speech. I just loved her and this class a lot.

I personally did not like Patricia as a teacher. She assigned quiz's on a chapter that were fairly easy. But the tests were super hard. She doesn't help at all with what to study so you have to memorize everything in the chapters. I personally would not recommend her as she is still new and needs to learn more.

This was Professors Dahm's first quarter at Cal Poly and she did an okay job. The class consists of 7 reading quizzes that everyone either gets 4/5 or 5/5 on. They are very easy and nothing to worry about and she puts some of the questions on the midterms (she gives the answers after the test). Her first midterm was the easiest exam I have taken at Cal Poly. The average was a mid A and she quickly learned she had to be harder. The second midterm was a bit harder and the average was a high B. The final was very hard (not sure about the average). Each exam was suppose to consist of a group part where you retake the exam with your group project, but it never worked out until the final. There is also a group project you are supposed to be doing and she does not provide clear instructions at all. My group got a low B on it and and I'll that because I've never had a class have a big project like that and never really talk about it. Overall, her class was very relaxed. You just show up and participate and don't need to take notes cause she posts them. The information is very straightforward and you can get a B in this class no problem at all.

Love her! Easy to talk to, responds to emails quickly, and she seems to genuinely care for her students. Class consisted of 7 reading quizzes, 3 midterms, and a group project. As long as you do the reading the night before, you'll do fine. For the midterms, she definitely made them harder as the course progressed, but if you take good notes and study the powerpoints, you can easily do well on them. For the last midterm, there's an individual portion and a group portion, but the group portion was weighed less than the individual portion. For the group project, you just need to turn in a final paper, but beware, she grades harder on this. Lots of class activities done within your assigned group, but they're easy and interesting activities. Overall great class and great professor, take her!

Patty was a really great and interesting professor. The class had three midterms which weren't very difficult if you did the reading. The readings were very interesting and about 15 pages per night. You can find the textbook online if you search a little. The group project, at least for my group, was done two nights before the due date, and with very little information, and we still got a B. I think she focuses more on the presentation of the ideas, rather than the actual content. One of my favorite professors at Cal Poly and one of my favorite classes.

Dahm was really not that nice of a teacher. Doesn't allow make ups under any circumstance (and I mean ANY) and is not willing to go outside her robotic teaching style. She may actually be a robot she is so scripted.

Prof Dahm is amazing!! It's a pretty easy class to begin with, but her friendly, likable personality made it that much better (she worked in HR for Target, so she's obviously good with people). QUIZZES: about once a week, the quizzes just require you read the really quick online chapters and know the basics of a few terms. Honestly I'd get a 9/10 on every quiz for just reading the chapter and jotting down a few definitions, and most of them were common sense (i.e. Traits of a good leader, Personality types, Negotiating tactics, Ways to motivate employees, etc) TESTS: just barely harder than the quizzes, which were pretty straightforward and simple. You take the test individually and then immediately after you take it in a group—every group gets at least an A, and your individual test grade is combined with your group test grade (which brings it up!) PROJECT: you have a group for the quarter (and she really encourages you to be friends with each other, even initiates it in class w/team building exercises like lego-building competitions and spaghetti-marshmallow-tower contests). You work with this group on a really easy project to interview 2 members of a company, and you have the whole quarter to do it. Honestly one of the easiest, most enjoyable classes I've taken! And I just negotiated a lower price on bedroom furniture using tactics from this class. 10/10 recommend taking this with Patty Dahm!!!
