Englund is new to the school, but I thought he was a great teacher and made the class very entertaining. He's a funny and caring guy and if he's still around I would definitely recommend!

He's a straight up PIMP. Arguably the BEST professor for this class despite the time (MW 6-8pm). The workload is very reasonable and there's pretty much no homework. We just have weekly quizzes, MTs, and some group work here and there. A good class to take when you have a crazy workload

Professor Englund is not great at presenting information in lectures, and it is hard to take notes at the pace he goes in class.

This class was extremely boring and I would not recommend taking this! Englund does not care about his students, and if you email him, he will not respond. He also does not post grades so you go into the final completely blindsided about your grade. He reads straight from the slides and goes so fast that you cannot take notes. He only allows 8 minutes for 10-15 question quizzes and 80 minutes for the final, which is 100 questions. Overall, do not take this class. He is not a friendly guy, does not care about his ob or his students, and is SUCH a boring class. Take a HIST class to fulfill this GE instead.

Englund knows that his class is a GE for a lot of students. He does assign reading, but you mostly don't have to read it in order to do the quizzes. All the material is online and he has weekly quizzes. He mostly lets students out early, and while he does drone in lecture a bit, he has a good sense of humor. It's not a high-effort GE, but it does require some effort -- don't forget to do your online quizzes and extra credit quizzes! (There are many). Out of class, it's about 1-2 hours a week. Unless you do extra credit as well.

This class was an easy A. All you had to do was weekly quizzes which are all online and some group projects. For group projects. he randomly assigns you to one and he expects you to communicate with them through email which was annoying because communication could be difficult when don't even know or SEE the people you work with, but works out at the end if your group mates are not total freeloaders and they do their part of the work. The exams are also easy too as long as you do the readings and look at the slides. You don't need to go to his class honestly except when you do the simulation. I only went to his classes because I thought the Englund is a cool and funny guy even though its REALLY hard to hear what he's saying most of the time. He goes through the slides a bit fast but I could just look them over after when he posts it. This is a good class if you want a lighter-load class to balance all of your harder classes.
