Professor Davis was one of the most effective professors I've had at Baylor. He lays out the syllabus very early, and gives clear expectations for the entire year. Our class was very interactive and involved a lot of class participation, which meant I payed attention and had to study less. He is a very interesting lecturer, giving plenty of real-world examples, and he is a really nice person. He answered questions I had in person or over email almost immediately. I would take him again in a heartbeat.

I took Professor Davis for a junior level principles of marketing class at Baylor. He shows multiple (interesting) commercials every single class, and analyzes them with the class. He asks you not to take notes during class, and the lectures are structured not to prepare you for the tests, but to prepare you for the final project. Classes are a lot of fun, but tests are very difficult. You need to read the book to do well on the tests, as there is an extremely large amount of material covered. The tests don't go too in-depth, but cover a significant amount of material. Davis made this class extremely enjoyable! I highly recommend him as a professor.

Professor Davis was an amazing teacher and truly wants his students to succeed. I took him for my Principles of Marketing class at Baylor and learned so much from his class! He's personable, patient, and passionate about what he teaches. He's also very thoughtful; our final was right after our third exam in class, so he cancelled the third exam and gave everyone a 100 so that we could study more for the final. His classes consist of lecture, outside speakers coming in, and group work. Definitely worth taking!

I took Principles of Marketing with Prof. Davis at Baylor, and he is absolutely phenomenal. He uses PowerPoints as his main tool in lectures, and purposely keeps it engaged and connected to the real world. The homework load is really light: one chapter of reading per meeting, and a quiz (which is straight from the book). The tests are fair, and he gives pretty comprehensive reviews beforehand. The course does get pretty heavily loaded toward the end of the semester when the course-long "Marketing Challenge" project is due, but if you don't procrastinate it's completely doable.

I took Dr. Davis for an Intro to Marketing Class at Baylor University. He has a brilliant mind, and in addition to presenting tough marketing concepts in a clear way, he has a talent for making the class fresh and interesting. I enjoyed walking into his lecture every day, and never felt overwhelmed or dreaded any part of it. His expectations are clear and the exams were a fair representation of the material covered. I can't speak highly enough of how much I enjoyed having Dr. Davis. In addition to being a wonderful teacher, he loves talking about his family, wife, and sons.

I took Dr. Davis for Principles of Marketing at Baylor University. He is the kindest, most sincere professor I've ever had. The way classes are structured makes them interactive and entertaining, rather than just a lecture. All of the exams are fair, no surprises, no homework except online quizzes, and a group project due at the end. If you like to be creative and think outside the box rather than be stuck in a textbook, you'll like his class.

I really enjoyed having Professor Davis for my marketing class. He is very relaxed, but still professional. He brought in great outside speakers for some of the lectures, and his own style of lecturing was engaging and easy to follow. His tests are not very hard, but you do need to study. The group project he assigned for the semester was pretty detailed and time consuming, but not impossible. We had a decent amount of outside work, including going to professional development events, participating in surveys, and we also had a couple of group activities that we needed to present at the beginning of class. Overall, I would recommend taking Professor Davis if you can.

I took Davis for marketing, and I loved the class. Everyday was interactive and fun, and I really enjoyed his emphasis on participation. The exams weren't super difficult and came from the lectures and reading material. The hardest part about the course was how much he required from us outside of class. The group project was time consuming. Overall though, I really enjoyed the class. I'm on the volleyball team and he really worked with my schedule and doing alternate assignments. He's a great person all around! Recommended!!

I took Principles of Marketing with Dr. Davis at Baylor University, and it was one of my favorite classes that I've taken here! Dr. Davis really sparked my interest in class every single day, whether it be through the fun guest speakers, interactive class activities, competitive "clicker" questions at the end of class, or getting to look at and analyze many different advertisements of all kinds. While the group project is definitely a lot of work, it's really not that bad (not procrastinating is key, seriously). His tests come straight from the book's key terms, and as long as you study them you'll be fine! Also his online reading quizzes are a great grade booster because you get 5 tries to take them, they also really help prepare you for the tests! Seriously take Dr. Davis, he truly cares about his students and makes an effort to show that. He has several classes of 60 people but still knows everyone's name! Appreciate him, he will be missed here at Baylor.

I'm currently a student at Baylor University, which is where Professor Davis last taught. He is an amazing professor. He taught the equivalent of what is BUS 346, which I think is Marketing (Not familiar with Cal Poly) here at Baylor. He makes the class very engaging, and teaches the class in what I think is a very innovative way. I'm not sure how he will do exams at Cal Poly, but I know that he was very flexible with Exam days here at Baylor, especially if you have a week busy with exams, projects, or papers. I think one final thing to say, is that he really cares about the students he teaches. I've talked to Professor Davis outside of class when I couldn't understand one of the concepts that we went over in class, we would talk about the concept, and make sure that I understood it before I left. Cal Poly, I hope you enjoy Brennan Davis as much as I have, and as much as the rest of Baylor has during his time here.

Professor Davis is always ready for class and organized. He has great activities, guest speakers and projects that we have to do. These projects help us better understand what Marketing is all about and stimulates our thinking process. When I hear of "marketing" I always think boring but in all honesty, his class so far is the only class I look forward to at Baylor University. It's a very interactive class. We have online quizzes due every class period. There's more than 10 but the top 10 scores are taken out of all the quizzes we take. Those help prepare us for class because you have to read to pass the quizzes. His tests are 50 questions multiple choice and a little harder than the quizzes but it's about the same idea. Work load was bearable and doable. He didn't ask for too much but what he did ask for was relevant to the course. He also has an understanding with his students and is respectful. He has a calm demeanor and is very knowledgeable about Marketing. He knows and loves what he does! You have invested in a great professor. Baylor University is upset to see him go! I am a Baylor Sophomore and I approve this message! Sic'em!

Professor Davis is my teacher at Baylor University for my marketing class and I've really enjoyed it! He makes class super interactive with team-based quizzes, challenges, and a project. I took his class in his last semester at Baylor before moving. Prof. Davis is one of the better professors I have had in college. He explains the material clearly and is always open to addressing student needs. He grades leniently, but not too leniently, and assigns a lot of extra credit to help students get the most out of the class. Definitely one of the best people I have had teach me in college as well. B. Davis is great! He makes learning about marketing more interesting than you think. We had 5-6 different guests come in and speak about their company; he had different and fun activities to do during class. The project is kind of a semester long thing but in the end doesn't take to long to do. We have online quizzes due everyday, but were fairly easy to get an A on. The tests were strictly over the textbook so as long as you read/studied the book it was fine. There are a great amount of bonus points up for grabs from group clicker contests, mini presentations, and the final project. Take B. Davis if you can! I took his principles class at Baylor University!

Dr. Davis' Intro to Marketing class was honestly fun everyday. The class is very interactive where you will do experiments, practice what he is teaching in class, and watch videos every day. He is a class act teacher and is even more of a help outside the classroom. You have quizzes every day which keeps you accountable to stay up with your readings. I took Professor Davis at Baylor University, he teaches a fun and educational class. I am an Entrepreneur Major and what Brennan teaches is applicable to all. He makes class fun with clicker questions that translate to bonus points(even though I forgot mine all the time). He gives a lot of online quizzes, they are a pain, but they keep you on track and ensure you read the material. All of the quizzes are straight from the text book and allow you to boost your grade easily. His class is laid out straight forward and his exams are challenging but not too difficult if you study. My favorite aspect is the final project you work on. It teaches you how to launch a product and how to do research in order to ensure your product is successful. Good teacher. Makes the lectures entertaining and very engaging. The class is made up of quizzes (1 for each chapter, take online), 2 midterms (10% each and optional to take), 1 final (20% OR 40% if you didn't take the midterms), and a project (nearly 50%). While the tests were very manageable, I thought that he graded the project pretty hard given how little instruction he gave. Furthermore, I think that the project was too heavily weighted. Overall, nice guy - I would take him again.

Ok professor at best. I wouldn't rush to take him. The class's is extremely unstructured. An arduous project represents half(1/2) your total grade. Don't be surprised to work hard and receive a B-. It's graded extremely biased towards marketing majors. When people say it's a lot of work... They are not lying... CP changed the marketing course to be rigorous and it worked. Expect to be busy throughout the quarter and don't expect much sympathy from Davis when final grades come out.

Davis is a really, really nice guy. He's great at explaining things. HOWEVER, his lectures are totally irrelevant to the class...apparently we were supposed to use them in the Friday lab (where we work on a project that is worth half of our grade) but I never once referred to my lecture notes. His tests are fair...they're literally the PolyLearn quizzes...which you would think is nice, except for the fact that you've never had a lecture on the material and there are about 70 possible questions per chapter and there are 19 chapters.

Davis is a really nice guy and a good professor, but his part of the class is almost worthless. His lectures are meant to help with the discussion class and the project, but they never really did. Neither of the two parts of the class covered any of the 20 chapters included in the midterm/ final. Thankfully the test questions are pulled off the polylearn quizzes you take every week, so as long as you take the quizzes a million times you should be good.

The class was split between lecture and activity classes (2 different teachers) so there were only 10 lectures instead of 20. The class covered all 19 chapters of the book so the lectures were extremely rushed and didn't cover all material. You are better off just reading the book on your own time and attending lecture for participation points. He provides his own clickers and you get extra credit if your group gets the most questions right for that lecture. He has quizzes on polylearn that you can take as many times as you want and he takes your highest score. Retaking these quizzes is the most effective way to study but the test bank for each chapter is 80+ questions so you most likely will see question on the test that you haven't studied. The final is the Saturday before finals week so prioritize your studying because there is too much material to cover the night before and the whole marketing plan/presentation is due the day before so you will be tight on time.

Davis is a really great dude. You learn a lot during his lectures, and he is a good storyteller. His classes are efficiently run and his interactive clicker surveys make the class enjoyable and playful. The Bus346 Class curriculum is going through a lot of changes, mainly through trial and error, so its sort of a russian roulette on how your class will be structured. Your best bet is to GET THIS GUY AS YOUR TEACHER, because I've heard other teachers are a tragedy. As for the grades in the class. For my section, it came down to the last two days were worth 75% of my grade. It turned out that I did extremely well these last two days, but it was still pretty scary, so be ready for that.

Davis is a super nice guy who really cares about his students. A lot of this class did feel like wasted time though. One day is lecture day where he plays commercials for two hours and lectures here and there in between, he uses clickers to take attendance and gives extra credit to teams that get the most right. There is one midterm that is just like the quiz questions, a bunch of random scenarios, straight from the book, mainly vocab. Then there is a fat project so make sure you have a good group, presentations are during dead week, but a new part of the marketing plan is due each week. The final is exactly like the midterm but longer. Overall not too bad of a class.

Haven't gotten grades back yet..but overall, he did not teach. Sure his lectures are interesting because all he does is show short video clips and advertisements. His lectures however, do NOT reflect what's on the tests. The project takes up so much time, and he gives very little feedback. So much of our grade was weighted towards the last week of class (presentation, final report due, and final), making it difficult to even know your grade.

He's a cool guy but definitely can't teach. Most of class time is wasted with unrelated activities, or just watching ads on youtube. Doesn't prepare you at all for the project, or the exams. He also gives you the option of skipping the midterm (if you're busy studying for other classes) and taking the final as 45% of your grade. Whatever you do.. DONT DO TAKE THAT OPTION. Always take the midterm. Overall I learned nothing from the class, and class time was a complete waste. But he grades on attendance and participation so you have to go. Brennan was a good professor! He cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. However, the book material does not really line up with what we learn in class and the exams are difficult to prepare for because they do not really cover the class material. Some of the comments here are too harsh. The course is overly ambitious in the work load you are expected to complete in 10 weeks. There are 19 chapters you are supposed to read, not to mention a large 6 person group project that culminates in a huge paper and presentation. It's a bit much. It's true that Tuesday lectures are just a very light grazing of the surface of what you're expected to read in the book, but again, you are expected to read the tedious book, so there's that. The mentors do a respectable job of preparing you for the paper, do make use of their comments and ask lots of questions. I think the course should be streamlined a bit, but otherwise if you put in the hours, you'll do well. It's not supposed to be easy.

If there is an interesting side to marketing, he successfully avoids it. If you enjoy watching youtube videos in class all day and getting an easy grade, this is your guy. Currently taking him so I don't have a final grade, but I'm on track for an A. Professor Davis is the best! He's funny and can really relate to his students. His midterm wasn't too bad, as I didn't study a bunch, but did fine. Around 28% of your grade is based off of Mimic, which is a marketing simulation online. Mimic is pretty easy and the way he ranks it is that the top students get 100%, and the next highest ranking gets something like a 90% and the rest get an 80% (don't quote me on that). But basically, if you complete the assignments, you can't get anything lower than a B on them. Completely recommend taking this class for 421.
