4 evaluations Recognizes Student Difficulties: 3.50 Presents Material Clearly: 3.25
Sarah is a great teacher. She is extremely nice and presents the material in a clear, easy to understand manner. The lab helps you to come to conclusions about concepts/theories on your own.. I guess a true "learn by doing" approach. The material itself is fairly easy to understand, but we moved from topic to topic fairly quickly and covered about 40 pages worth of material a day.. probably not a good idea to miss class. After 2 absences your grade starts to get docked off. 2 midterms and a final, and weekly homework that takes about 10 minutes to complete. Great teacher who is easy to approach, and simple subject matter - a win win combination and an A to boost my GPA.
Definitely one of the best teachers I've had at Poly. Sarah is always so willing to help, and tries to accommodate the needs of everyone in the class. The material moves fast, so it definitely helps to go to class. Almost all work is done in groups, you choose your own groups and groups pretty much work at their own pace. 2 midterms and a final, this is the first 'physics' class I've ever taken, and I got an A on all of them. She really spends a lot of time making sure everyone is clear on the most important topics. If you're struggling, go to office hours. She'll spend as much time as necessary to go over absolutely anything you need.
Sarah is seriously one the nicest professors at Cal Poly. She is an excellent teacher, making everything very clear and organized throughout the entire quarter. She prepares the class really well for the midterms and final. Her tests are fair and reflect what was presented in class. She is always available during office hours to help. Science is not one of my strong points but overall I had a great experience in this class. I would highly recommend taking any course taught by Sarah.
