Clegg is the man! He is a super chill teacher and makes the intro class pretty easy. It was fun to get to know all the kids in my major. He gives out his powerpoints, so just take notes on your laptop. If you know it's going to be a boring day bring your laptop or phone to keep you busy.

Overall an extremely easy class! Half of the classes are presentations from other people (mostly in KINE Dept.) or student presentations (which are not bad at all, five minutes at most). There are two tests and no final. There were about 3 or 4 two-page papers that I wrote the night before and got A's on all of them. Prof. Clegg hardly EVER lectured, so you pretty much learn the material on your own, but it is fairly easy. Clegg is very understanding and really nice.

Clegg is a cool guy and seems like a very knowledgable professor. In intro to kines we do not really do that much lecturing, but if I was to have the option of taking another class with him I would.

The class is a simple class, but Clegg doesnt teach you ANYTHING! He is late for class, unprepared, and never starts on time. He clicks through the slides he posts online and just reads them to you, because you cant do that yourself at home haha. His tests are a lot more detailed and tricky than I would have expected from him, so for an A, dont go to class, wait for him to put up a review sheet for the 2 quizzes, 1 midterm, and 1 final, read those sections from the book and memorize every detail!! He does have some pretty shitty worded questions which he usually ends up giving you points back for because he realizes he sucks at writing tests too.

Great guy. He would be like a cool uncle that is relaxed and fun and knows interesting things. Very easy class. I skipped a few lectures here and there, but all of his powerpoints are online so you will be fine. I liked the lectures though just because he loves teaching and always telling you to strive for better health. Both the midterm and final were straight from the book. Mostly common sense. Not showing up or reading you can get an easy B, but if you read the book it is a guaranteed A. There is homework online due once every two weeks. Just responses and little quizzes, very straight forward. Easy class, great teacher, take it.

He is a very nice guy and always in a good mood. however, he sometimes sympathizes with his students too much and dimisses class when he sees the class disinterested. You will probalby put in an hour or two a week for this class if you go to his lectures and maybe a bit more if you do not. His weekly online quizzes has upwards of 45 questions and has essay type questions every week as well. Although that might sound intimidating it really is not, it just takes up a lot of time. There is a lot of extra credit oppurtunities and there are alot of freebees on the midterm and final. I got a B on both the midterm and final and I received an A in the class.

I would guess this is your standard GE class. Very easy, there was only 1 midterm and a final. It was a big lecture class where everyone showed up for tests and such, but otherwise probably only 1/3 actually went. I went to class every time, but I don\'t think its necessary since he posts his lecture notes online, and all assignments (besides exams) are done online. Plus he gives extra credit opportunities which can help a lot. The book is optional in my opinion. His lecture notes are pretty much straight out of the book; though sometimes there were things on the quizzes that he didn\'t go over. I just barely got an A, and I only used the book a handful of times. For a GE class I\'d say he\'s a decent choice.

Take Clegg if you want an easy A in a GE class. Super nice guy, always in a good mood and really helpful. The class is 5 online homework assignments which are extremely easy and take 30 minutes tops to complete. There is one 100 pt midterm and then a 150 pt final, all multiple choice, Everything counts the same in the class, so you can get close to a 100% on the hmwrk and just have to do decent on the tests to get an A. There is also really easy extra credit. Lectures are what you make of them, I found the material interesting so I went to all of them but really all the info is in the book and he just reads off the slides which he posts online so you dont have to go. This is one of those really good classes to take when you have 2 or 3 difficult classes and want an easy filler GE class to get to 16 units. In conclusion, TAKE CLEGG! You wont find an easier class or a nicer prof.

A nice GPA booster. I had a lot of health in high school so most of the stuff we learned was just like a review for me. For the first half of the quarter I went to class each day, but after the midterm, I realized it wasn't really necessary and just went if we had guest speakers or were watching movies. I just skimmed over the power points and book before the tests and for the online quizes as well. I'd say on average only 1/4 to 1/3 of the people would actually show up for class. There is not a lot of work outside of class either.

Excellent straightforward teacher, who presents the extremely easy requirements for the course right at the beginning. One of the easiest A's I have ever had. The only homework is about 6 different online assignments assigned over the course of the quarter (one every 2 weeks about). Each online assignment takes about an hour to possibly 2 hours if you are slow. There are about 4-5 video worksheets given in class (very simple, graded for completion). 1 midterm and 1 final, both are extremely straightforward and mutliple choice. I missed more than half his lectures and ended up with a high A. Also offers extra credit if needed. Take his class if you can.

Clegg is a very fair teacher. You only need to go to class on the days there are videos because the worksheets are worth points. Don't procrastinate on your learning modules because you can forget about them. I did and almost got a D because of it. None of it was Cleggs fault I was very lazy when it came to this class. Its easy. I couldve gotten an A if I tried a little

Clegg is really easy to get a B, and you'd really have to study a lot on the midterm and final for an A. It's all memorization of random things which is annoying. 1 midterm one, 1 final, 1 behavior change project. 1 learning module every other week (4 total) which consist of a few quizzes (open book of course because you do them on your computer). Strict on deadlines. Boring lectures, I skipped a couple. Class never takes the full 2 hours. Good teacher, nice, and an easy B. I got 70%s on midterm and final, finished with an 84 in the class.

Clegg seems really cool, but his class is pretty useless. He can't really teach anything that's not already in the book, so his classes mostly consist of slides that are summaries of the actual book. Class never lasts the full 2 hours. It's definitely an easy B if you put in almost no effort, and a pretty easy A if you put in a few hours studying for the midterm and final and doing the project. Basically I barely showed up to class, skimmed through the reading, did all the online homework (easy), did the behavior change project (a lot of paper but hardly any work), and studied the day before the midterm and final, and walked out with an A. Oh, and show up to class when there's a movie cause he puts questions from those on the tests.

I was told that KINE 250 was an easy A. After the first midterm I realized it wasn't. After our first midterm, he posted the distribution of grades. Out of a class of roughly 170 students, only 5 earned A's on the midterm. The average on our final was 115/150 (76%) which is pretty congruent with the C average professors hope to see on their exams throughout Cal Poly. The class is an easy B, but with all of the distinct and detailed questions on his exams the class is by no means an easy A. Clegg is a fine teacher as he definitely doesn't have much of a task in teaching the straight-foward material. My only complaint is that on exams, some questions I read are simply "are you kidding me-how could I ever know this" kind of questions.

He is a great professor. He explains the material in a straight forward, easy to understand way. Make sure to complete all the learning modules and discussion boards before the deadlines, he will not take late work for any reason. There is one midterm and a cumulative final. Throughout the quarter there are a possible 10 points of extra credit, the assignments as super easy and I recommend doing them because who doesn't love easy points. Overall great professor, I definitely recommend you take Clegg!

Clegg is a good teacher. But whatever you do, do NOT listen to the comments here! It's not an easy GPA boost at all. If you do not take notes, go to class, and study the power points, you won't do well. I got a B because I didn't pay any attention at all -- and if you're happy with a B, fine, enjoy it. But if you're going to do something worthwhile with your life and go to grad school or need an actual good GPA, don't just take this class as easy. It takes work. One important thing I need to point out is that the Behavior Change project you will do is a bit ridiculous. Some kids barely did any work the night before and got an A. Some kids spent the actual time doing it and worked hard on it and got a D. The only thing I can recommend to do well in this class is to make sure the project is very organized and has every possible element filled out to the full -- you don't have to actually do it day-by-day, but when you finally do it, make sure it's completely done. Overall, he's a good teacher and presents the material clearly. Just WORK for the grade! It's not that hard at all.

Clegg was a really good professor. He knows what he's talking about, well that's how it seemed when I went to class, all 6 times during the quarter. Do the MyLab stuff online, do the behavior change project (I was up till 4 the night before starting/finishing it and got a B+, I'll take it), and actually study for the midterm and final (which is cumulative, and hard as fuck). There's also 10 points extra credit for going into the KINE building and doing a PolyFit Assessment where you do some push-ups, get in a tub of water to measure how fat you are, and you're done. The class was definitely NOT as easy as I thought it'd be though.

This class is not as easy as I expected. I mean, it is an easy B, but in order to get an A, you will have to work for it. Just put the time toward this class and you will be ok. I did not find the study guides for the midterm and the final as helpful as I thought it would be. Although these exams were multiple choice, they included questions that were hardly covered in the lecture, the PowerPoint, or the videos (make sure you watch all presentations/videos). You have to read the book yourself. I completed the whole study guide and saw many outside questions on the exam. Some questions can be very detailed-oriented. On the midterm, only 11 people got A's. The rest got B's, C's, and D's. The average was about a 76%. On the final, the average was a low C. During the lectures, when the professor says to study something very well (like a diagram), make sure you take the time to look over it. The final exam may determine what you will get in this class. I got almost 100% in all the online quizzes (you get to take the quizzes independently), the DBQs (you have to answer discussion questions- there are four of them and you have to put some thought into what you wrote. Each are 10 points.), the Behavior Change Project (it is not hard. As long as you put the effort into it, you are ok. Don't wait until last minute to complete it because it takes a while.) and I did pretty well on the midterm. I ended up with a C on the final and I thought I did better because I studied so much for it. I did not have many other classes to begin with anyways, so most of my time was focused on this class. It was harder than the midterm and it almost made me drop a whole grade down. I did not think I was going to get an A in the class. Luckily, you are given 10 extra credit points which helped me to get an A in this class.

This class is not that hard, but you can't go into it thinking it's going to be a breeze. I went to every class session and most of the time only half of the people would show up. If you want an A in this class, then go to class, actually read the book, and do the behavior change project to a T (which requires an outrageous amount of paper). You have a lot of guest speakers in class so you need to pay attention to them for the midterm and final.

Kine 250 is a super straightforward class. Its a pretty easy GE especially if you were required to take some form of health in high school. Clegg puts together a good lecture but sometimes brings in boring guest speakers. Tests are really straightforward and the study guides that he gives you are very comprehensive. This is a relatively easy and interesting GE that I would recommend to anybody

Overall not an awful class. He lectures but also shows a lot of short videos and he lets you out early every day. There is not a lot of homework and it can be done the night before it is due. Tests are not too hard especially if you study the quizzes you have to take online as homework. Go to class because part of the test is on guest speakers that he gets randomly. Behavior change project takes time but is not hard. If you are going to take Healthy Living take Clegg you won't regret it!

This class was such an easy GE course. Clegg is used to teaching classes this size, and understands the difficulty of a large learning environment. We got out of class early every single time. Most people did not go to the lectures, but I went to every class and found it to be very easy to study and get the work done. Minimal homework, online quizzes are fair, and midterms and final were not too difficult.

Do not take this class. There are other classes that are even easier and fulfill multiple GE requirements while this one is boring and annoying and only fulfills one GE requirement. Clegg was very militant in his lectures and just read from slides that were summaries of the textbook. He also posted these lectures online. I wouldn't even buy the textbook and just get the online thing. If you do decide to take this class anyways, there is no reason to actually go to class, just go for the first day, midterm, and final.

Clegg is a cool guy. The class is so easy that he doesn't have to do much. All he does is basically repeat what the book already says just in power point form. You don't really need to go to class except when there is a presentation or an in class movie assignment which is pretty cool especially since I had it at 8am. My main advice for doing well in the class is read the book!! The class is all online work based on the reading. If you do all the reading and look over his study guides for the tests, the class should be a breeze.

This was seriously the easiest class ever!!! I did not do anything outside of class other than write the easy essays the morning of the class and study for the tests right before the class and it was a pretty easy A. The lectures are pretty much common sense- he definitely does not go very deep into the subject. So yeah, if you are taking this as a first quarter freshman be assured that Clegg will help you ease into your college experience :)

Super easy class, really nice guy. He wants his students to do well, so he makes it easy. There are a few short essays, i think two tests, some small projects I did an hour before class, and a presentation as the final. He gives points for attendance, so just make sure you go to class. Lectures can get a little boring, but he has a bunch of speakers come in from different departments at cal poly who are pretty informative on things like research projects and getting an internship.

Professor Clegg is awesome. Kinesiology 270 is not by any means, an extremely interesting class but Clegg tries to make the class as worthwhile as he can. There are a ton of guest speakers, two midterms, and a final that are all practically a cake-walk to complete. The only not so great thing about this class is that towards the end you have a series of four 2 to 3 page papers on stupid topics, like how to use the library to look up an article. However, Clegg doesn\'t really give you anything difficult and he is probably one of the sweetest professors i\'ve had. I would definitely recommend this class ! However, beware with the format of your papers, he is a stickler for gramatical errors and APA formatted papers.

His lectures weren't very interesting as he basically read straight off the power points. However it was interesting to learn about the different careers in Kinesiology, through different presenters. He would tell you what was on the test. However it was worth it to go to class to get the attendance points that could help pull up your grade if you were marked down for the other parts. The work was mostly easy, just 2 essays, and interview assignment, and a power point oral presentation for the final.

Really great teacher!!! He cares about his students and others, and really wants you to do well. It is not hard to get a good grade in this class, but you still do have to study a little bit. His lectures can be long, and since he lets you print his notes out many students leave the class early. He teaches with enthusiasm and makes it fun! He brings in guest speakers and plays funny videos, and I learned a lot> would definitely take him again.
